Ryder004 Posted Friday at 03:54 PM Hello folks! I lately have taken a big interest in the Kunlun system. I got the Kunlun book by Max Christensen. I did the first level 1 move yesterday. Before I go any further, I just want to make sure I am not doing more harm than good. I also practice Flying Phoenix-I started about 8 weeks ago for my lower back issues and its been helping. My routine is I do Flying Phoenix at 8am. Kunlun I will be practicing around 5pm so there is a big gap between the 2. I know Max in his book stresses to NEVER mix Fire and Water systems, however Flying Phoenix is not a fire system. Without having access to both masters of Max(Kunlun) and Terry(FP), can you folks please offer some guidance. Even if you're not 100% sure, please give me your best theories. I would love to practice them both. Thank you.
Antares Posted Friday at 04:20 PM Mixing is not recommended until you are good at one system. May be doing SOME TTP exercises is good along with FP (what Terry recommends btw). Kunlun and FP energies might be not compatible. I know that even mixing Sunn Yee Gong and FP is not good idea until you are good at one of them

You can easily tag him in the Flying Phoenix thread or send him an email to ask
forestofclarity Posted Friday at 10:13 PM We have a prior thread on Zifagong, with references to both Flying Phoenix and Kunlun. I'm not an expert, but ZFG type practices seems to "toss open the system," so to speak, which might toss in a monkey wrench while you're establishing a healthy body-mind via Flying Phoenix. ZFG can also arise spontaneously, without any special type practices.
