Later he told me ; '' I broke into his car , slit the carpet over the hump ( the transmission tunnel ) , sprayed in some solvent , got the carpet up , put the fish in there and flattened it out ... where the floor stays nice and warm and put the carpet back over it, sprayed glue and stuck the slit back together .. . he will never find that !
