Well, even in christianity there was a practice where they would put hands on a sick person to heal them.

 

There are at least a few variations on the concept of healing people with hands.

 

The anime version of sucking evil (or illness) into a person's hands is something like a hollywood exaggeration of it.

I get that. There was a monk in Korea called So Sahn, whose claim to fame is that he organized large armies of monastics to repel the Hideyoshi invasions of Korea in the late 1500's. And there are many other examples of fighting monks.

 

However, I could see this particular corruption of Kuan Yin as being borderline offensive. Kind of like naming a night club "Buddha Bar".

 

Anyway, there are lots bigger things in the world to worry about, this just struck a chord with me.

But its not a result of moving energy up the spine.

Years of constant arguing, debating, breaking down & analyzing things. Etc, etc.

 

Its not the same as governor - functional channel imbalance.

 

Many taoists prefer forms of intuition over developing the rational mind.

 

Consider me the anomaly of a person who prefers developing the rational mind over intuition.

Why not 'jazz up' the internet a bit  then and grace it with something better than cartoon comparisons  with subjects some here take rather seriously ?

I would like to say I gave up on people.

 

After seeing how little use they had for science or facts during COVID in 2020.

 

But the more honest assessment is, people gave up on themselves.

 

There's no need to try to say anything smart or insightful.

 

People have no use for such things.
