Might it ?

and what  might they be  ?

Its a hollywood exaggeration to be sure.

But so many have spoken on this, I would be shocked if you did not already know the answer.

Be shocked   then  - if you can bear it  -   and answer the question ;

What 'certain occult practices'  parallel  'sucking evil into the palm of their hands '   ?

There are secondary chakras (vortices) in the palms of the hands.   These are operated by nature spirits (lesser devas).

Nature spirits embedded in the human light-body can be captured/replaced by dark entities

Well, even in christianity there was a practice where they would put hands on a sick person to heal them.

There are at least a few variations on the concept of healing people with hands.

The anime version of sucking evil (or illness) into a person's hands is something like a hollywood exaggeration of it.

There are traditional martial artists who practice a technique of sucking illness and evil energy into the palms of their hands.

There are taoists who say there is a hole there, where things can be sucked into and contained.

And later released.

The key issue seems to be the quality and intent of the intelligence operating the particular vortex.

Be careful about with whom you shake hands

Your just rattling stuff off like you did with the original claim ... which by the way was first claimed to be  " certain occult practices''

regarding the other picture I suggest you look up  WHY  certain Godforms are depicted with multiple arms ... instead of 'learning ' about that from watching cartoons and cross referencing it with your cartoon induced supposin
