However its not unknown for a man to have his wife as spiritual guide ; especially in the western tradition ; Mathers (Moina Mathers ) , Crowley ( Laylah ... actually Crowley said his highest initiations would not have been possible without his female partners ) , Max Theon ( Alma Theon ), etc .
