They don't seem to understand that in doing so they will drive down wages, because as is often the case they will work for less.

 

The problem really is one of reproduction. It's not that there is not enough jobs it's that there are too many people with no skills who cannot do the jobs that are in demand.

 

They tend to take the lower skill jobs, affecting wage growth and limiting those doing the jobs from useing them as a stepping stone for higher skill jobs

 

In native cultures this is solved by the fact that if you can't hunt you don't eat.

 

It's only a modern cultures the thought is that those who don't hunt should eat,  more inventive ways are found to allow them to do so.

Very true but it's not a must. Once it's stopped and people understand they tend to get with the program.

 

 

Might want to study what happened to the Black culture within the US when some of the same social reforms mentioned came out.
