That is a really interesting read, the science behind the benefits of meditation are really stacking up now that it is becoming mainstream accepted science. What is remarkable is how fast it seems to work, about 8 weeks seems to be the point when significant changes can be observed in both brain modification and behavioral change.

Yes, thank you for posting this. I would be interested to know what was the nature of the meditation instruction and whether it was "value free" or involved any subtle form of conditioning for greater empathy, but I also would expect that the researchers would have anticipated this as a possible criticism and tailored their meditation instruction accordingly so as to minimize criticism from this direction.

you're all welcome, and zhongyongdaoist maybe those answers are in the research to be published in the future in the psychological journal they mentioned. I am interested in the specific nature of the meditation as well.
