i think this is straight forward and simple. "the meek shall inherit the earth" i really dont see any other outcome . i dont think it really has much to do (directly)with current events in north africa. the reason i believe this has nothing to do with it being a bible verse.

cat pillar, you made the choice to post imo it is fine to reach out and ask for other opinions,ideas, we all have hurdles,sufferings but sometimes it gets to a point when reaching out is probably the best option. sometimes dealing with it is better with some help or at least having someone to talk to that may let you look at it in a diferent light. ideally i like the idea of folks making the load lighter for their friends when it is appropiate. sometimes we are left to deal with things on our own.

i agree that western medicine is probably not desirable. non, what would make life more fun? what in life do you enjoy?

i am curious to where exactly you live? in my neck of the woods, where women have been called half bear, the other half wildcat. if you try and abuse one of these you may end up a missing person that no one missed at all. here they would prefer you had a job , your own place, a vehicle(pick up truck sitting up high) or , if you can't pull your own weight, the women will still take you in, but they will be dominating you. feel free to come and try your luck but i doubt you could handle one.

competition does not come from the word violate. in this world there is alot of competing. you should choose however you feel you will compete best. maybe you are exactly right, i personally have never observed a male going out and clubbing a female, dragging her off and then they live happily everafter. also i am not sure how the approach of . "i just knocked off your bf to get closer to you" would play out. i have seen cases of guys not being able to use up their sexual energy on a regular basis, and it resulting in a strong negative influence, resulting in loss of ability to think and behave rationally, sometimes leading to willful stupidity. not sure which taoist practices you enjoy? do you practice any martial art?

baguazhang requires alot of time to practice. 2 hours a day really isnt enough, but could make do. would you have that level of commitment if you had access to a live instructor?

absolutely do both. @sifusufi, the crystal ball is supposed to be good for eye health, right? i like the candle. many old tai chi books say it is necessary to do meditation to get the full benefits from tai chi.

chen tuan another great sage who loved to study the I ching. in fact he never could put it down but my random wondering here is > he is said to have created liuhebafa which is based on taiji, bagua, and xingyi. but he created liuhebafa before any of the others "officially" existed . the excpetion may be xingyi but still would have been about the same time it was credited with coming into existence as well. my idea is all of these styles have been around alot longer than people want to acknowledge. it is just they are always being tweaked or evolving. it was a very well kept secret about baguazhang existing as long as it has but not going public until the 1800's.
