  1. Dream thread?

On a totally different note here is one that amused me, from some years ago , I will leave any Freudian analysis up to you I am riding down a road on my old Triumph Bonneville that I used to own . The road is one I had to slog along in my youth from the school to the train station, it was near the train station, and groups of flats / apartments are there. I come around the corner but deck chairs are set up on the road and sunbathing on them are many of the nurses I used work with, all in bikinis. I have to swerve in and out of them and loose control of the motor cycle and go down. I am not hurt but the bike splits in half, longways, all of it, I can see the inserts and lugs where it fits together, like one of those airfiix plane models I used to make as a kid. My mother comes out of one of the flats and yells at me for being careless .

Starjumper ! I think I found it for you !
  4. Third eye sound tone

But I am sure also that somewhere in a gamalan orchestra there is one tone for you , its just that there are so many . For me its the biggest gongs at the back , I got to play in one once; those two gongs, standing between them as you play, and being swamped by the vibration of the others all around you - an awesome experience !
  5. Third eye sound tone

Perhaps it is different for each person . Mine sounds chaotic The only thing I have ever heard that sounded remotely like it was many years ago when I picked up what I thought was an audio cassette tape and put it in the player. A flatmate said it was from his computer and had a programme on it . [ In case you are a lot younger than me ; ] And it sounded like a super fast jumble of electronic signals and tomes pouring fourth in a stream . Thats the noise I heard when mine first got zapped, as a very young lad ..... by 'that lady in the sky' .... a beam came out from her connected to my forehead and ... that noise . Then again, maybe you mean something else , like a tone or note that you feel resonates in or gives access to the 3rd eye ? MIne doesnt really do that , now it has , like little doors that slide open and close

  9. Dream thread?

I awoke in the middle of the night from finishing this dream and jotted down a quick version of it, in the morning I filled it out ; THE EGYPTIAN This morning I awoke to a beautiful day.‭ ‬I poured a pitcher of water over my head and put on a clean white robe.‭ ‬My sleeping wife looked so at peace I left her and went down to the river to greet the dawn.‭ ‬I assumed the position of adoration and held my palms up to feel the Sun's rays and commenced the‭ '‬Adoration of Ra‭' ‬as the Sun came over the horizon.‭ ‬The ripples on the water glittered‭ ‬red and gold and‭ ‬the day started to come alive.‭ ‬A flock of geese crossed the river high in the sky,‭ ‬a fish jumped and splashed in the water and I,‭ ‬now in ecstasy,‭ ‬knew I was alive inside the body of God. I returned to my house and went inside and greeted my wife,‭ ‬she looked exceptionally beautiful this morning.‭ ‬We ate together,‭ ‬I looked into her eyes and kissed her and went out to plough the fields. Later I came back to rest from the heat of the day.‭ ‬My wife had prepared raisin cakes and barley beer.‭ ‬I ate and drank and then,‭ ‬looking at her,‭ ‬became filled with passion but she held her palm against my heart,‭ ‬gently holding me back and with the other hand offered me the plate of raisin cakes and said,‭ "‬Last night I had a dream,‭ ‬please take these cakes and offer them in the temple.‭" ‬I looked at her,‭ ‬not understanding,‭ ‬but saw the love was still in her eyes,‭ ‬so I obeyed. I went to the temple and thought to offer the cakes to Ra but on my way to his shrine I noticed an alcove on the side and within stood a Goddess I have never seen before.‭ ‬I could not identify her,‭ ‬so I went through the temple until I found a priest and asked him,‭ "‬Who is that Goddess in the side alcove of this temple‭?" ‬he looked at me strangely and replied,‭ "There is no side alcove in this temple.‭" Thanking him,‭ ‬and hoping that he would soon recover from whatever madness had afflicted him I went back and made my offering to the strange but somehow familiar Goddess. Later that night I made love to my wife.‭ ‬Something happened.‭ ‬We have never joined like that before.‭ ‬She was like a new person and my heart was aflame with passion.‭ ‬We thrashed and convulsed in a dark pool of energy whose surface rippled and snaked up in tendrils of darkness and shook and splashed out surrounding us and out of the darkness condensed tiny points of light with the brightness and colours of the gems in Pharaoh’s crown.‭ ‬They sprinkled down upon us and melted into us . Afterwards my wife lay back seductive,‭ ‬deliciously,‭ ‬yet modestly and I have never seen such a beautiful sight in my life‭ ‬-‭ ‬it healed my eyes.‭ ‬She looked somehow different,‭ ‬yet familiar,‭ ‬it was as if her face had changed,‭ ‬but it was still her face.‭ ‬And then I knew‭! ‬She had the face of the Goddess in the temple‭! The next morning,‭ ‬again she slept peacefully,‭ ‬not wanting to disturb her I went to the river to adore Ra in his rising.‭ ‬I picked a blue lotus flower and rushed to the temple to offer it to the Goddess. When I arrived I could not find the alcove or the statue.‭ ‬I approached another priest and asked him about it.‭ "Foolish old man,‭" ‬he replied,‭ "‬I do not‭ ‬know of any temple around here like that or any such Goddess‭ ‬-‭ ‬go back to your wife.‭" So I did,‭ ‬taking her the lotus,‭ ‬but on the way home I saw a neighbour, ‭"‬Good news‭!‬,‭" ‬he called to me and came over.‭ "‬As you know,‭" ‬he said,‭ "‬my wife and I crave for a child and we could never have one,‭ ‬but this very morning the doctor told her she is with child.‭" I saw another elderly neighbour and noticed he had lost his limp.‭ ‬All the sunflowers in the field had opened.‭ ‬Another neighbour‭ ‬-‭ ‬cranky,‭ ‬old Ahmose‭ ‬-‭ ‬was sharing‭ ‬his breakfast with a stray dog. I entered my house and gave the lotus to my wife,‭ ‬kissing her on the cheek.‭ ‬She took it and smiled and looked deep into my eyes and said,‭ "‬Something wonderful has happened.‭" "I know.‭" ‬I told her. ( a fair amount of my short story writing is from dreams ... not normal dreams , they are 'story dreams' . )

  11. The Mystery of King Solomon

Happens here on our commune too . We sheltered people in need and trouble, helped them get set up, gave them (not sold them,,, GAVE them ) land to build on . Our worst most troublesome resident came here as a single mother with 3 kids seeking refuge , she got help to do all that , then turned against us fang and claw and tried to destroy the community and have it disbanded (which would have entailed destroying her own site and house as well .... ) Its a bit like being in a safe life raft and then picking up someone in trouble and then having to spend the rest of the time dealing with them stabbing holes in the bottom of the boat they are in

hang on .... what is it you give them on the head ?
  13. I just returned from my own mothers funeral held on friday. I had a few false alarms " You better get down here, she is on her way out." then the next morning she is sitting up in bed having a cup of tea and asking what all the fuss is about. I got another warning on monday but she died on tuesday night. My elder brothers eulogy was great, heard stuff I never knew about. Mine was off the cuff, seemed to please the congregation but the catholic priest maybe didnt agree with it . One thing that impressed me, my brother was saying how he was a primary school teacher and he worked in some pretty rough areas with abused kids. One kid would come to school very early ( to get away from the home situation) and he would find him, in winter with tattered clothes huddled up near the door waiting and shivering. So he went and bought him some thick flannelette shirts, one for each day, and would give him a clean one and take the old one home to wash for him, mum would wash and iron them for him. he said one day he noticed a lump in the folded shirt and opened it, in the pocket was a 'freddo frog' , chocolate. She had been slipping in treats for the kid, Eventually it graduated to biscuits and sandwiches. Then she found out, of off my brother , some never celebrated their birthday or the parents didnt acknowledge their own kids birthdays ( wtf ! ? ) so she got him to get their dates off the schools record and would make a cake for him to take to school and they would have a little birthday party there . Thats a mum for ya ! My dad died when I was around 17 .... yes very different expereinces because of my age difference .. but I came after to appreciate him more . You know that (supposed) Mark Twain quote : " When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years. "

Nope , you wrong about that. I respect many qualities; justice, perseverance , standing up for yourself, not letting some wanker aristocrat supress me , etc . LLLL LIGHT LIFE LOVE LIBERTY ! ! Being hit on head too much causes revolutions !

  16. PK abilities - real or imaginary?

In 'parapsychological experiments' , IMO they need to be 'outside' the system to give significant results . I might be able to heal or change myself or a placebo might have the same effect . The idea here was to effect change outside of the self, with no obvious medium of physical influence . Thats why I wanna run the 'double blind placebo experiment' .
  17. PK abilities - real or imaginary?

so much of it is going on... to divert from your aim here ... it seems like a mass debate .
  18. Animals, humans, gods… ?

yes, but it was not those animal behaviours I was referring to when I said animals think , as I said above, some animals can be presented with a problem, you can see the expression on their face as they try to work it out and when they do their expression changes to one of 'realisation' . Most people that own a dog have experienced this . Also we can observe behaviours that are above the base conditions of most animals ( the bolded bits above ) and mammals and more specifically primates (the italicised above ) , maybe 'thinking' is the wrong term here, perhaps 'realisation' I meant the common understanding of the term culture , not one tailored to fit a premise : "Culture is the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, encompassing language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts. The Center for Advance Research on Language Acquisition goes a step further, defining culture as shared patterns of behaviors and interactions, cognitive constructs and understanding that are learned by socialization. Thus, it can be seen as the growth of a group identity fostered by social patterns unique to the group. "Culture encompasses religion, food, what we wear, how we wear it, our language, marriage, music, what we believe is right or wrong, how we sit at the table, how we greet visitors, how we behave with loved ones, and a million other things," Cristina De Rossi, an anthropologist at Barnet and Southgate College in London, told Live Science. The word "culture" derives from a French term, which in turn derives from the Latin "colere," which means to tend to the earth and grow, or cultivation and nurture. "It shares its etymology with a number of other words related to actively fostering growth," De Rossi said. " https://www.livescience.com/21478-what-is-culture-definition-of-culture.html To be the deified and personified collective super ego of the local cultural mores and taboos . To put it really simply .... its just the way humans work I can explain to a group of tribal people that if they continue a certain action, it will lead to a problem, even with proof and demonstration .... nope ! Put on a mask, dance around with a rattle and say big man in sky says so , and it will embed and become behaviour , mores, eventually religion . The purpose or role of the gods is to support and give authority to social constructs. What about Gods that are part human part animal ? Where do they fit in to your 3 fold scheme Then again there is 'Puppy Jesus " The Gods 'slipped in to' literature awaiting you on the other side of the Rabbit Hole are there for the same reason of impetus as they are with mores and taboos in a collective sense , but with this example above it is an individual impetus I think its just a matter of misinterpretation. By now, you should not feel you missing something ... unless these explanations are not sufficient . If so, good luck trying to nut this all out . Thats another big rave , relating to psychology, 'divine' (when one examines the word in detail ; godly, godlike, but also angelic, seraphic, saintly, and even beatific but also lovely, handsome, beautiful, good-looking, prepossessing, charming, delightful, appealing, engaging, winsome, ravishing, gorgeous, bewitching and beguiling;) has extra connotations that suggest an inner desire to mate ourselves with the 'perfect partner' for ourselves ... that will never, and can never manifest. Liz Greene, the psychological astrologer has written some excellent stuff on this 'psychological drive' . Again, this is another dynamic to help 'drive us on'.
  19. This depends on whether we are talking traditional Kabbalah or hermetic Kabbalah. There is a traditional association via Sepher Yetzirah via the 'cube of space' concept that is generated from the Hebrew Alphabet (3 / 4 manifestation again ) But 'modern' hermetic Kabbalah has attributed a wealth of associations to the ToL , many that traditional Judaistic kabbalists would scorn, like attributing the Tarot to the Tol. In this system the pathways between Sephiroth have astrological associations (as in the diagrams in Michael's post ) - there are more than one system of attribution though. For 'straight' Hebrew astrology - Mazzaroth. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_views_on_astrology .

Nobility ? HA! Here you go .... a nobility neutraliser Why should I respect nobility ? Respect is something to be earned - not inherited by birth. I suspect you think you are part of nobility, hmmmmm ? What happened to you Lois ? You guys used to have a good history in this regard :
  21. Animals, humans, gods… ?

Hang on there ..... humans are animals too! We need to closely examine the reasons and implications of thinking we are in a 'level' above them. of course there is a significant difference between the other animals and humans, and that difference is culture, not thinking, animals think ... of course they do. You can even see the thinking process and when they arrive at a conclusion or solution in their changing facial features. Animal thinking is easily demonstrated in many species, including birds - especially the corvids. Now the Gods. That is different, they are a projection of our culture; a personified and deified projection of the mores and taboos of the local societies collective supper-ego. meditation is a word that can mean many things, there are many different types of meditation aimed at different results. But in our modern new age. dont worry about that, sit and be still, try not to think and Ommmmm and presto ! .... its 'meditation' . Nope, sorry that is not correct. No, it is based on false assumptions , which can have rather nasty implications ( for both animals and humans) Well, step Ac ( animal with culture) It stays up there floating around in the cloud of the collective super ego .

    Beautiful stone, I had not seen it before. 'Down here' we are known for a different type of stone ;
  23. Ohhhh...... he meant the glyphs and symbols people write on or attribute to the Sephira of the Tree of Life . That last image is pretty cool ! Ah ! I think I get you now, you are talking about using the tree of Life as a classification system for anything . Yes, that can work if the units are attributed to the right sector of the whole . Z'ev ben Shimon Halevi ( Warren Kenton ) has written some good examples of that .... eg, how a car works according to ToL Kenton is a popular author on kabbalah; " when talking of the tension between Tradition and Modernism: This dilemma is captured in ancient notions of balance and harmony; notions that are, for example, expressed in many guises in that wonderful Kabbalistic diagram of the Tree of Life. As the Temenos Fellow, Warren Kenton, so beautifully explains in his lectures to the students of the Academy, the teaching of the Tree of Life is that the "active" and the "passive" aspects of life, which on their own may lead to imbalance and disharmony, must be, can only be, brought together in harmony by the influx into our lives of the Divine and the Sacred. Whether or not we interpret this image as an explanation of an outer or an inner orientation, it is in this way, and only in this way, that the forces, or characteristics, of expansion and constraint can be brought into balance " - Charles, Prince of Wales. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z'ev_ben_Shimon_Halevi

Does being a descendant of Irish bread stealing convicts deported to a penal colony count as 'noble' ? If so, yes then.
