As the Sufis say, everyone is an accomplished master from well before the creation of this universe... everything, including painful death, is a precious growth experience. In my view, we aren't a pack of losers stuck on this rock due to bad karma, original sin, or by random chance. 6967[/snapback] exactly the point i was trying to express, although not so eloquently. like yoda says, noone needs the help of anyone else. the experiences we lead ourselves into are the ones we have chosen to use as our learning experience as part of a growth in consciousness. an act of giving happens because it happens, not because we feel obliged to help. an act of giving is an interaction that happens on a personal level... because it is a new experience. $$$ thrown at charities are entirely impersonal. the money is filtered, skimmed, used inappropriately, changed around... who gets what? what did it do? where did it come from? expend your energy on yourself and nuture yourself instead, and then you will be capable of really giving.
