Revelation 16:12 describes the sixth angel pouring out a bowl on the Euphrates River, causing it to dry up to prepare the way for the kings from the east. This event is part of a series of judgments in the context of the end times.

12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. 13 Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

15 “Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”

16 Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

The Euphrates River is drying up due to climate change, chronic droughts, and human impact, with predictions that it could be completely dry by 2040. This situation poses significant risks to the millions of people and wildlife that depend on the river for water and sustenance.

Well, its not the only one , just about all the major rivers that early civilizations were based on are drying up ;

Nile , Indus, Ganges, Yangtze, Oxus ( Amu Daya ).  Others include ; Colorado Danube, Rhine, Mekong, Amazon  and 'at home' the Murray - Darling .

In short ; we are fucked .

:unsure:    why didnt  the Bible warn us about the other rivers ?

You do realise  why this 'great battle' was predicted to be at Armageddon  ( Tel Meggido ) ? Its because so many other battles already happened there  - a 'midway' Canaanite point between Egyptian and  Mesopotamian  Empires  and  Canaanite vassal rebellions against both Empires .

 - 35 major battles over 4000 years .
