doomchoom Posted July 13 Hi there, I stumbled upon these forums while going down a Daoism rabbit hole. Long story short, I've spent many years studying (and inconsistently practicing) Zen Buddhism, but recently found myself exploring Chan in greater detail. The latter's unique flavor is often attributed to 'Buddhism read through a Daoist lens', so I decided to dig into that a bit. I'm spending time with the Dao De Jing and Zhuangzi. I could get all dramatic about the profundity and beauty I'm finding there, but I won't bother. I'm interested in practice and finding the general instruction for meditation to be very similar to Shikantaza, at least superficially. I look forward to learning more.

Cobie Posted Thursday at 02:39 PM (edited) Welcome to the fourm. Lots of stuff on all of that on the forum, so you've come to the right place I think. Enjoy. And feel free to "bother", there's no forum otherwise. Edited Thursday at 03:21 PM by Cobie
