Some thoughts. 

 

If you have a system that can generate repeatable, objectively observable results, every time, then you have yourself a science and a technology, not magick.  

 

Real practices like this exist, but the amount of magick users that absolutely hate them and everything they are about amazes me. 

 

The amount of skepticism they selectively apply to these practices, but not their own amazes me. 

 

The amount of vitriol they spew. 

 

I don't understand people.

I don’t know if you are referring to what I think you are referring to, but in my opinion all this comes from England, specially from the late 1800’s

 

A certain group of esoteric orders, claiming the name of an old western mystical tradition, started all this “magick” thing.

 

”Magick” is an ideology; Magic is the understanding of reality, and it may include orthodox and unorthodox methods.
