qidude Posted March 6, 2021 Hi everyone, I started learning (trying to learn) qigong from books due to difficulty finding teachers the specialise in qigong/ nei gong. I'm uk based. I began with breathing practises, gently allowing my body to move into abdominal breathing. Basic standing practice (ZZ) reduced long term back pain to almost nothing after 7 months. I would like to learn micro cosmic orbit one day but from my current understanding it's too dangerous if you have scoliosis. If I can go no further with my journey I have to say I've already got a lot out of this work. Just frustrated I might not be able to progress but that's life I guess. Point to note-- I couldn't have made the progress I did without a good understanding of trigger points as a cause of chronic pain.
