Daoist perspective during the Warring States Period have some common thread if ideas with 21st century religion when looked at as basic ideas

Dao, confusius, Chinese Buddhism, 21st century religion, view religion in terms of basics, just as people evolve but are still essentially the same, so also religions evelove but are still essentially the same in different contexts.

I think you should explain more.  The Warring State Period was dominated by war and legalism, 475 - 221 BC.

Daoism is sometimes referred to as the folk religion of China but it is closer to animism, and its spiritual leg likely traces to Shamanism.

I think your topic has some very interesting room for discussion but maybe some more info on your thought would help to grasp the topic.

...what is the aim of nearly every religion?

...can one be religious without seeking?

The end behooves us all

The path to the middle rides the wave of undoing.
