  1. Silk Reeling .... The Details

Unwinding a force intended to cause physical harm to your body would be the correct application. If someone is punching the force is only strong in one direction. down, up, left or right their force is very weak. Non - intelligent or dead force has only one direction. When we put the cocoon in hot water we can then unwind the silk but it is easy to break the thread. One has to use a smooth and continuous movement. Split is also two forces moving in opposite directions. Two handed silk reeling trains left and right. A smooth continuous movement that is able to change direction is difficult to detect so you maintain the advantage and control. telegraphing a move is an error as well as force on force. You should have a partner to train silk reeling. Force comes from the ground, resistance of the earth. With proper body mechanics, alignment we can channel this force up through the body to manifest as power with any part of the body. Good luck
  2. Neidan ( all experiences and opinions wanted)

Internal Alchemy is taught only to those who meet the requirements of that practice and are destined to receive this teachings. In times when everyone is trying to sell this knowledge as a product for their own benefit, many advertisements about internal alchemy courses appear on the internet. In fact, the content of those courses usually covers only the longevity and basic qi gong training erroneously called internal alchemy, and have nothing to do with Daoist internal life and death solving methods. it requires years of ascetic training under the guidance of an accomplished master. Students happen to come inquiring about issues around the cultivation of the elixir way – Internal Alchemy. Even though many talked about the bedchamber arts being Daoism’s golden elixir and the Great Dao, I still did not pay attention at the beginning. Over time more and more questions were raised, and I felt that this could be by no means accidental. Duel cultivation of internal alchemy has nothing to do with sex Not to be too wordy but the basic structure below The origin of the Dao is based on a single principle and its methods are divided into three categories called primes: heavenly prime, earthly prime and humanly prime. Each of these three primes is further divided into three levels also referred to as three achievements: the initial achievement, the intermediate achievement and the high achievement. Therefore there is nine different ranks in total that are applied by the various internal alchemy schools. Consequently the internal alchemy scriptures can also be categorized according to the three primes. The heavenly prime scriptures deal with the great elixir, the earthly prime scriptures with the spirit elixir, the humanly prime with the golden elixir. In conclusion, the initial achievement could be compared to the first grade in school, the intermediate achievement to the second grade, and the high achievement to the third and final grade. Every grade requires graduation before one progresses to the next stage. All of the three primes are considered great internal alchemy paths, including all three elixirs: the great elixir, the spirit elixir and the golden elixir. The heavenly prime is about tempering and disciplining one’s nature and innate character and grasping one’s life-destiny. The earthly prime seizes the cinnabar sand and generates mercury. i.e. external alchemy, the humanly prime gets rid of the old and creates the new. “Thus the principles of the three primes of internal alchemy are identical, but their methods differ.” This causes confusion to any one that does not have a verified teacher.
  3. When we destroy the boundary between inside and outside we can increase and create Qi. When the body and mind suffer, we decrease the quality and quantity of Qi. When you enter the zone, you increase the quality and quantity of Qi, of Yuan Qi or pre-heaven Qi. Zhen Qi or post-heaven Qi, decides the quality of daily life. It moves in the organs and in the meridians or Qi channels. Regulation of the body means the physical exercise requires correct physical form; centering, harmony, balance and grounding. The structure has to be right so that the energy can flow: sink shoulders, bend knees, spread fingers, each part of the body in its proper form. When you do the movements, turn your spirits inward and have the spirit do the work. Go to your own mystical zone, merge into the body and forget about time and space and forget about everything else including rigid rules used against yourself. Yin and yang, body and spirit together make the Tao, harmonic induction taking you into an indescribable zone. Whatever quality or quantity of Qi you have can be used to merge into that zone. Establish the special frequency between external and internal and just listen to your spirit and learn how to guide those energies.
  4. Taoist meditation

Sitting meditation and stillness cultivation has three levels in total. The first type is for eliminating illness and for achieving a healthy body, strengthening the physique and improving one’s physical constitution. The second type is for experimentation and for seeking the unusual and strange, as well as for gaining powers. The third kind is for the refinement of the elixir and for cultivating the Dao, gaining an eternally living and immortal body with higher dimensional and vibrational frequencies. Therefore the goals are not the same, and subsequently the requirements are not the same.
  5. A Science of Wu Wei?

“Wu and tao are equally the mother of all things.” Thus wu and tao are the same. So it may be said that wu wei, no action is tao wei, action by the spirit. It is in this sense that the phrase, wu wei erh wu pu wei, “there is no doing, but there is nothing undone” is to be understood. Of course, wu wei must be rendered by “spirit action,” which makes the meaning full of force. Lao Tzû says: “Heaven and earth and all things were begotten of what is; and what is is begotten of wu, the non-existent, physically, i.e. tao, the spirit. Governed by the spontaneity of an uncorrupted nature. Those who act in the wu wei method are the most laborious people in the world. They are hard workers in every field. The force is full and strong with spirit in action, all things can be accomplished. There are times when the best action is no action. We can best deal with a situation by not reacting to it. I learned this on Tao Bums.
  6. Dantien Controlling Limbs

So if energy has a physical location it is impossible to achieve immortality and the eternal life.. We have to build something that already is. The unified energy does not move the body but one aspect of it does. Interesting tell me more. Also do not ever mix external with internal. I think I am getting this now, thanks.
  7. Let's talk about hippies

Thanks Hippies for the internet and how high were you guys? Thanks for having a cause like equal rights for all colors (especially the psychedelic ones) ending the war, social change, gender equality. You people must have been tripping your lips off. For the new generation just keep track of where your phone is and everything will be OK. Sticks and stones will never hurt you but words will break your bones, each and everyone of them.
  8. Dantien Controlling Limbs

Yea but the Dan Tien represent an energy field that spins. the waist physically turns. The physiological functions of human anatomy are very important in tai chi chuan. To limit the subject to an energy field would miss the most important part of the physical functions of tai chi chuan.
  9. What is wrong about being judgemental?

Trump is everything I hate about myself. Joking of course If we bring Trump into this, the whole thread will go down hill fast, people being banned, topics closed, moderates up for days on end. An emotion might even get hurt with words, no real bruising but its 2017 we are very sensitive as you know, Trust me this is not a good thing. If I actually cared and not sarcastic then I am being very judgmental right now.
  10. What is wrong about being judgemental?

If we were full and complete people their is no need to be judgmental. If we judge someone the fault or the greatness is only the refection of ourselves. This is why you all suck and I am great and why I suck and you all are greater then me. So for all the judgmental people it is entirely your fault. It is your fault that I suck or not suck so much Thanks for sharing your own reflection of me.
  11. Dantien Controlling Limbs

The waist power of Tai Chi Chuan is world famous. Could you comment about any fault as you see it?
  12. Dantien Controlling Limbs

laitaichi.com/pdf/Tai Chi Classics.pdf This link of the Tai Chi Classics has great information to study, apply and internalize the methods. below are two passages from the classics. Although your abdomen is full and alive, there is no force being used. For the Qi to sink down to the Dan Tien slowly and naturally, the mind needs to be relaxed. By deeply relaxing while performing your Tai Chi movements, your Qi will move freely to every part of your body. This will benefit the body greatly. On the other hand, if you tense your mind and forcefully try to move your Qi, or use unnatural methods to circulate i, it is more than likely that blockages will occur which are harmful to your health. Sung [Relax] the waist. The waist is the commander of the whole body. If you can sung the waist, then the two legs will have power and the lower part will be firm and stable. Substantial and insubstantial change, and this is based on the turning of the waist. It is said "the source of the postures lies in the waist. If you cannot get power, seek the defect in the legs and waist." All movement is generated by a turn of the waist or a shift in weight. You could also say the waist is like a large gear which in turn spin the smaller fly wheels of the limbs.
  13. Men can be considered yin inside with an extreme point of yang so all tough on the outside but weak inside, We are both yin and yang. Women can be considered yang inside with an extreme point of yin so all soft and awesome outside but internally stronger then men, we are both Yin and Yang. Polarities change and intermingle Men seem to be more external their stuff is just hanging out physiologically speaking. women seem to be more internal, all their stuff is inside and the great mystery of awesomeness. The creative force yang needs the receptive force yin. Yin and Yang are deep in love and become an unbreakable force with flexibility and a song and a dance. The song and dance is done within us, no partner, the immaculate conception, the virgin birth, giving birth to a divine being, our original self. We then attract higher spirits and vibrations this in turn attracts amazing people and situations . Mostly sexual situations....... just kidding
  14. The Advantage of Evil

The lost children who forgot were they came from and where they return could be consumed by this world and become evil people. they could learn of a higher life then the life of misery they make for themselves. OR just kill them, it depends on the situation. Being humane is not always humane. We have a high tolerance for evil deeds we live with systems that are inherently evil under the disguise of goodness. Scooby Do nails it, the only evil on this planet are people. Evil has no power it can only steal power from the people who allow it. Man made stuff, I hope it all works out for everyone.
  15. I do not understand why a trump thread would causes so much chaos,,weird, did not see that coming. It seems A trump thread would attract a lot of balanced people to express their opinions. Sarcasm used until further notice from admin.
  16. Do pro trump, tao bums actually admit that publicly?. It takes a lot of courage to embarrass oneself in public like that. Courage and not afraid of the obvious judgement are two good qualities. The are a lot of actual politicians that could use some support as well. PS Is sarcasm still permitted?
  17. Internal Alchemy - Where and How to start?

HI Ben, Wudang Chen is a great place to start. He is also a linage holder for female alchemy as well. Many systems dropped female alchemy when it left the mountain and practiced at all men clubs. My suggestion is to start with the physical disciplines. Neidan is only taught to those that have a destiny with the teachings. If you are interested in becoming a Taoist priest then you will have access. Strong virtue and positive energy is necessary to even begin neidan.
  18. Tao and the Laws of Nature

Tao is the manifestation of what is natural as opposed to supernatural or not from this world. To follow means to listen, listen to the nature and it will teach us how everything works. The laws applies to all manifestation within the laws of yin and yang there is also what is outside of the laws of yin and yang but that is not physical, it is the non physical energies we all are born with.
  19. Tao and the Laws of Nature

bow stance moving forward hit LDT with closed fist right hand and left back of hand (open) hits ming men gate then moving backwards switch left closed fist LTD left open back hand right hits ming men gate repeat 32 times. This is like patting your head and rubbing your belly.
  20. Tao and the Laws of Nature

    1) No, it makes the laws of nature possible 2) Tao is beyond conceptual knowledge with a huge pinch of magic. 3)Yes 4) That is the mystery upon mystery, many things can unfold we can change things before they happen or influence the outcome of an event by just observing. mostly magic the conceptual, rational mind hates that with passion. 5) the creative and receptive need to join forces the answer is yes and yes, yes and no, no and no but mostly could be yes or no
  21. True Yin and True Yang

Fire and water arise in the center of the cauldron, Yin Yang are continually reborn, Nei Jing Tu In the lower part, a boy and a girl who represent Yin and Yang are working on a treadmill placed in the Caudal Funnel (weilĂĽ), at the bottom of the spine. Inverting the stream of energy (actually the jing or Essence, depicted by the water course along the spine), they avoid that it flows downwards and is wasted. (With the Spinal Handle and the Jade Pillow mentioned below, the Caudal Funnel is one of the Three Barriers or sanguan.) Water thus turns into a fiery furnace, which heats the lower Cinnabar Field placed near the four Yin-Yang symbols; these stand for the four external agents (Wood, Fire, Metal, Water), with the fifth one (the central Soil) represented by their conjunction. On the left of the Cinnabar Field is the "iron buffalo ploughing the earth and planting the golden coin," an image of the first seed of the Golden Elixir. At the center is the middle Cinnabar Field, shaped as a spiral and located in the region of the heart. Just above it is the Herd Boy, who holds the constellation of the Northern Dipper, a symbol of the center of the cosmos. According to a famous Chinese story, the Herd Boy (corresponding to the constellation Altair) only once a year can meet and conjoin with the Weaving Girl (corresponding to Vega), who is pictured below him. At the level of the Weaving Girl, along the spine, is the Spinal Handle. The upper part of the picture represents the upper Cinnabar Field. Above and behind the Twelve-storied Pavilion (the trachea), is the Jade Pillow. Behind the mountains, on the left, the Control vessel (dumai, which runs on the back of the body) emerges; the old man sitting next to it is Laozi. Below the Control vessel, the Function vessel (renmai, which runs on the front of the body) begins; the monk standing with raised arms next to it is Bodhidharma (who, according to tradition, brought Chan Buddhism to China). The two dots stand for the eyes, and represent the Sun and Moon.
  22. True Yin and True Yang

Lu Dong Bing, one of the famous eight immortals passed the teaching of internal alchemy to Wang Chong Yang in the North of China and Zhang Bo Duan in the South of China. They both created Nei Dan Schools. Both schools focus on internal cultivation, merge Fire and Water, Lead and mercury, Dragon and Tiger combining the three treasures (jing, qi, shen) into the cinnabar which means Dan Tian (cauldron) which balances and harmonizes Xing (essential nature) and Ming (eternal life). When practicing Neidan we should not mix terms from Weidan. This eliminates confusion of terms like lead, mercury, cinnabar and what they mean. Infants and young maidens naturally have cordial relationships and join each other. This represents the True Yin and True Yang’s fusion inside the body. Hun and po is used by the medical branch and not so much in Neidan. 魂 (Hun, ethereal soul) and 魄 (Po, corporeal soul) are often taught in contemporary Chinese Medical theory, their use in clinical practice is limited. Although the 魄 is considered to be more yin, and 魂 more yang, the two are fundamentally inseparable, and in this respect can be likened to the north and south poles of the earth; any damage to them can also lead to damage of the 陰題 (yin body), and accordingly, to the physical flesh. Daoist Medicine involves a consideration of 有形 (form) and 無形 (formless), and many of the methods incorporated in Daoist Medicine deal with the 虛體 (formless body) as well as the 肉體 (physical body). All branches be it medical, science, martial, neidan, weidan, chi gung all use the same terms so it can be confusing and terms do not always have the same meaning. It depends on the topic to make sense of it and the actual application. The practice of Neidan is to be taught at the Temple. Outside the temple there are countless other practices available.
  23. True Yin and True Yang

Lead is original spirit and mercury is acquired spirit so cause what sinks out of consciousness (Lead) to float, Mercury rises floats and flares up this consciousness causes trouble sink it and put it in its proper place do not destroy it.. It is simple put the original spirit in charge of affairs and all goes well.
  24. True Yin and True Yang

light is not a color the jade seal scripture says "the light is not white or green". Using the light we can see colors but it is not the light. All apertures emit light, the light of seeing, the light of hearing, to name a couple but seeing is not the light just as hearing is not the light. To know this is called the light of wisdom Many text associate colors to a specific energy but the energy is not the color. What is the color of light many use the term gold but gold is not the light it is a term for those that have turned the light around. The light of awareness. The light is within us. Most use the light to shine the outside world but few shine the inside and discover the source of true yin essence and true yang vitality “The Supreme Medicine has three distinctions: Ching [essence], Qi [vitality]. and Shen [spirit], Which are elusive and obscure. Use the spirit to join true yin and true yang this is the meaning of dragon and tiger meeting. How did they met, who introduced them, they are meant for each other but appear to be opposite to each other the only thing capable is the eternal spirit within us. If all goes well we remember who we are, where we came from, where we return and realize we never left in the first place.
