  1. Fake enlightened teachers

    Hahaha...typo. I mean "alluding."
  2. Fake enlightened teachers

RigdzinTrinley I was alluding to the fact that there aren't fake teachers but only fake students. That's all.
  3. Fake enlightened teachers

You mean, the teacher is only as real or as fake as your motivations and your vows??? LOL LOL Fake teachers? Maybe fake students??? LOL
  4. may we call this Rigpa?

Dreaming techniques??? Not really..the book talks about trying to wake up several times during your sleeping hours. Thereby, you won't fall into your REM sleep. What you do while dreaming?? Hehehehe.... Dreams are residues of your life being played out while in sleep. So, if you have problems with the real world, try to resolve that. And your dream visions may change. Pretty much in dreams, you see your life problems being played out. You have to resolve them in your real life. If that's not possible, you have to interpret the dreams themselves to determine what you must do. Since you can't really control your dreams 100%, is impossible to develop techniques to use while dreaming. That would require some sorts of conscious power of the mind to influence the outcome and situation in the dreams...which is very, very hard to do. Ideally, while dreaming or in the beginning of the dream, you want to realize you are dreaming, immediately. The truth is that you don't do that. You would just find yourself in a situation, in the dream, and trying to play things out until you are stuck or encountering some unpleasant situations or bad feelings. You can force yourself to wake up from it if, while dreaming, you couldn't find a solution to your situation. Is often really nice to manage to resolve problems in the dreams, instead forcing yourself to wake up in order to stop the dream.
  5. Avoid gurus, follow plants.

Hold on to you seats people for what I am about to write on... If you think the use of psychedelic drugs is essential to your cultivation process and enlightenment, can you stop using them....and to continue on your path and to advance further. Do you get withdrawals? If the answer is no..hold that thought. I am sure some of you have read the Tibetan Book of the Dead in which it explains the death bardo experiences and, if you haven't been able to realize rigpa while still alive, you can still be liberated in your bardo. In the death bardo experiences, you don't have a body anymore. You are dead. Your consciousness is still wondering and lingering around until the next rebirth. If you spend your entire spiritual journey relying on drugs, what do you think it would happen to your mind in the death bardo experiences??? You don't have a body anymore. What good would LSD do for you at this point??? Hehehehe... I would be mighty upset if only during my death bardo experiences I realize the use of psychedelic drugs was never the right path to liberation. Scary??? Oh yeah....
  6. Avoid gurus, follow plants.

What is the mind cultivation? LOL LOL... Don't you know...is to break through the first Skandha, FORM. I can say that in 99% of the cases, that's how the Kundalini energy rising is experienced.
  7. Avoid gurus, follow plants.

Can anyone name a Taoist text or some ancient herbal remedies using specific plants to realize the Tao??? In India? Or the great Buddha himself?
  8. Avoid gurus, follow plants.

Nungali, are you defending the use of drugs??? I said it again. It is your mind cultivation that enables you to experience various states of consciousness. This will create good karma and merit to your next life. Do you know why certain individuals seem to have the ability to achieve more in their cultivation? As many Chi Gong and Chan masters have pointed out throughout the ages, it is their good karma from their past lives which enable them to achieve more and quicker in their mind cultivation process. That's why what you do now in your cultivation would have a huge impact on your next life. Gee, equating vitamins to psychedelic drugs??? Nice... Seriously, I have my kundalini energy rising when I was 18, the full blown kind and lasted for 3 weeks each time during my meditation. I was your typical American teen...I drink coffee, sodas, and eating a balanced diets. If stuff I ate containing chemicals allowing me to experience the kundalini energy rising, a lot of American teens would have their full blown kundalini energy rising experiences...LOL LOL.. So as many of you here. Of course that's not the case. Otherwise, you won't be using them to induce your awakening. You can not argue for the use of psychedelic drugs as normal as using vitamins. If that's the case, you would be using vitamins for your cultivation instead of the psychedelic drugs.
  9. Avoid gurus, follow plants.

Here is the thing about the use of drugs..........at least initially, your spiritual experiences are supposed to manifest themselves when your mind has reached to certain realization stage. That what makes your experiences possible and it would carry onto your next life. When you use drugs, you only manage to reproduce the experiences but don't have the mind cultivation to support them. The experiences themselves do not make you enlightened. It has to come from your own mind. Once the drugs are no longer capable to produce the experiences, your mind is no different than before...you would soon realize. FYI, I don't do drugs. I take herbal supplements like Rhodia Rosa...nothing meant to alter my consciousness. I have enough cultivation experiences to write a book about them....hahahahaha...
  10. Emptiness vs Visualizations

I agree. Some sorts of visualization is necessary from the beginning. I remember meditating on my chakras at the beginning. I got some strange experiences doing that from the heart to the crown chakras. My chest would experience a kind of spasm but no pain just immense pressures. For the crown chakra??? Lots of out of the body, floating sensations and visions.
  11. Emptiness vs Visualizations

Thanks for the long write up. It means little to me, however. I didn't experience the MCO, Samadhi, and Kundalini energy rising from an academic stand point. They are transmitted to me through dreams and insights and spiritual visitations. So, I see the whole subject of emptiness somewhat differently.
  12. Emptiness vs Visualizations

About seeing light outside and inside??? I would take that with a bit cautious understanding....because why the distinction and discrimination? And absolute void can not exist just outside of oneself or one's third eye. It is still relative. LOL Aren't all phenomena the product or our mind??? Seeing aura without understanding what it means is pointless. What if I tell you that you can receive precognitive information about a particular person and this vision is telling you that this person is ill. Do you still need to see aura to understand this person?
  13. Emptiness vs Visualizations

Another issues with visualization is that, if by luck you have achieved some results, more than likely it isn't sustainable...can not be repeated the next time. The worst part is that you would try to chase it by putting more efforts in your visualization. LOL.. Speaking from experiences of course. Abiding in emptiness and resting on emptiness something such as your breath or the sound of silence (inner chakra vibration frequencies), you are more than likely be able to sustain your kundalini energy or MCO and can be repeatable. I am only speaking from my own experiences but others may need visualization to calm the mind.
  14. Emptiness vs Visualizations

Is Samatha. There is the active approach. There is the passive approach. The active approach is to use visualization and to focus on something..in order to calm the mind and to get rid of floating thoughts. The passive approach, personally, I think is more beneficial but not easy. Basically, you allow your mind just be. It is easier to do while in sleep and dreaming. During meditation, you can dose off and becoming head heavy. For what is worth, my greatest Samadhi experiences come from waking up from dreams, not during meditation. Not sure what it said about my mind though.
  15. hello enlightening people

    Hello..yes, yes...we are the enlightened people..LOL LOL...
  16. may we call this Rigpa?

Guys and girls... Is beyond lucid. If it is all about being lucid, you would have many people experiencing rigpa. I have experienced it only ONCE (the powerful kind..the kind that makes you wonder if you are leaving this world behind and to become an immortal) in my 3 decades old "path." I have some minor ones throughout the years. The emergence of the rigpa gets carried away to your waking life!!!!! I say ALWAYS the case. If you see and recognize and to have realized rigpa in your dreams, the same luminosity of light would also be present in your waking consciousness. There are times I would see rigpa in my dreams and to have waken up and trying to get back to sleep. But I can not because my third eye is seeing this luminosity of the mind, the clear light. Lucid dreaming does not exist outside of your dreams. Besides, in Dzogchen, the mind is already enlightened and naturally perfect to receive enlightenment. You mind needs to just be. There's nothing to become lucid about. You just allow the mind to manifest its own luminous nature.
  17. may we call this Rigpa?

Lucid dreaming is just the first stage to penetrate the illusions of dreams. Or to penetrate the dream of samsara. There is the dream of clarity in which you receive precognition and information about the future. Or information about your spiritual path. In the clear light dream, you recognize rigpa because it is manifesting itself as the luminosity of light in your dream. The experience is similar to a Samadhi but you are experiencing it through and in between dream states and waking states.
  18. may we call this Rigpa?

Rigpa is the luminosity of the mind...light. When you see light within your mind, you know what Rigpa is. Light and luminosity aren't metaphors but an actual manifestation of the mind..the nature and the reality of the mind. I read the dream yoga book and with rigpa would only appear in the "clear light dream." I am going through the book Natural Perfection by Longchenpa right now.
  19. Daoism and Western Esotericism

Before you can even talk about combining them or mixing them, you must know what they are trying to accomplish. In Taoism, you are to recognize and to create the light of the immortal birth through the cultivation of the chi.....and practicing the microcosmic orbit. The operational word is LIGHT. It is this light, perceived by the third eye, that allows you to recognize the Tao and to realize your "immortality." This is the same light spoken in the esoteric Tibetan Buddhism Dzogchen...it is called the rigpa. So, it is more than just mixing concepts and symbols. You can even say that there isn't any need to mix because the Tao or the realization and recognition of rigpa is already universal...the world and the reality as it is perceived and experienced by the realized mind.
  20. Why the distinction? When these beings appear to you, they are as alive as anybody you would encounter in your real life. They are dead because they were once appearing in the physical world but now only in your dream world. I have never dream about spirits or guides until around 17 or 18, when I had my kundalini energy rising experiences, coming out from a dream state in which I was a Han dynasty warrior or Chi master. That was how I learned about how to complete the microcosmic orbit. Subsequently, I have spontaneous Kundalini energy rising experiences for 3 weeks straight. The intense kind..the kind that burn your body up and could potentially making you crazy because of the amount of energy concentrated in the mind or head. Hehehehe Before, I had dreams about my childhood and how horrible they were. That was it. If your friend is scare about death, I would not even bother to tell him about the Tibetan Book of the Dead and the death bardo experience. It would just freak him out more...because to successfully become liberated at death, one has to cultivate NOW, while still alive. Heheheheheheee....
  21. The 8th step

One thing I know is that this healing can be achieved in your dreams even if you and this person are miles apart physically. That's something I have experienced in my dreams. Again, is not all lost....
  22. The 8th step

Here is the issue. Karma trace isn't just all about one person relation to others. It can be to a group of people or to a class of situations. I believe you have already committed the Wrong View by trying to undo your karma with one person. In reality, you don't have karma with one person but with a particular group of individuals under certain situations. Yes, it is better to become a good person in general so that you can "redeem" yourself in another, similar situation. Remember, karma knows no boundary of time and space. If you have issues with your past life Karma, good luck trying to amend your wrong to a person which is no longer alive and living in another time and places. I guess...not all karma can be ripen.
  23. To Harmonious Emptiness.....Hahahaha...so true.... It brings back dream memories here..hehehe.....
  24. May I....?? Been away for a while and haven't been posting..... The question is what does you mind want??? Look, my path was transmitted to me in dreams. Higher, spirit, realized Buddha beings (Sambhogakaya beings to be précised) taught me about the Dharma gate, the Kundalini energy rising, and the microcosmic orbit. I know things and wisdom which would have required extensive studies of the Buddha scriptures to realize. Yet, I can grasp them using my own experiences and insights. I believe the higher your cultivation level you are at, the more you would need to rely on these beings to guide you...maybe because your path is unique and no known masters can guide you...or you are the self enlightened Buddha. The thing about these beings is that they are the reflection of your mind and the quality of your cultivation. I personally do not believe that higher individual beings would manifest themselves to you when your cultivation level, your mind realization, is of lesser realization. The point of the mind nature realization is that all phenomena is the product of your own mind. If so, how can anything exist outside of your mind. How can real higher beings can be perceived by your mind if your mind isn't capable of seeing them the way they are? Of course, regardless what messages they are telling you, you must realize that your mind may not have altered or changed your own surrounding reality. If some beings are teaching you about energy healing and you can't heal anything in your real life, well, you really can not heal, period.... Is simple as that. If your mind cultivation is strong and really grasps the Dharma wisdom, as soon as these beings appear, you mind would wonder and not grasping. Whatever thoughts and visions before you.... would transform into the Clear Light. Your visions or dream visions would switch from imagery representations to a full blown Clear Light realization...your third eye would see only light and nothing more...the nature of your mind itself. Also, once the mind developed the ability to distinguish the reality of these beings, you don't get low level being visitations as much.
  25. For me usually for about 30 minutes. It takes about 15 minutes of meditation to get "warm up." After 45 minutes, it seems "enough." Or I could no longer maintain the right concentration to circulate the chi. There are times it goes on for hours especially during my sleep. So, it is still very "spontaneous" at times...
