  1. "go and sin no more"

In the Biblical idea everyone has original sin (except of course the Imaculate mother of Jesus - this is the meaning of Imaculate Conception - she had no original sin as she was conceived in her mothers womb - additionally she like all the mothers of major gods before her was also a virgin. So the notion of casting a stone without sin is impossible for the rest of us.
  2. "go and sin no more"

    Those Imaculate mothers!
  3. Words of My Perfect Teacher

This is subtle teaching and very true - it also illustrates the power of group and teacher. A superb post - a good teacher.
  4. This guy sounds enlightened to me.

In the illusion the winds never cease and we are always on the brink of total disaster - (we are also always on the brink of an alternative). Whether our human form is sustained or not, we are doing just fine and things are becoming much brighter everyday. The Awakened state is where we should all be starting so to speak, it should be common, it is "normal". Take-in these teachings - enjoy every spoonful - none of this was to be hidden - if it was veiled there was a reason and those reasons have passed. We are not burning books and skinning people alive. Each teacher has his own wording - and in the West we are not accustom to many of the new teachers ways. We are steeped in an implausible past, in words meant for other bodies, other times and yet none of it was without merit. Some of it speaks directly into our souls and is beyond all time, but much of what we need to eat needs to be fresh for our present awareness and proclivities and blindness. A great Awakened Western teacher may charge some money, may be fat and poorly dressed or slim and slick. He may be a She and both of them may have no background in cultivation in this life. They may have a story you don't like, choose words that are to potent for the judgement they trigger in you, they may be too simple, too direct, too fast. But unlike any time in our history - great awakened teachers can find their audience - those that can hear their words - they can find them all over the entire world - you can find one that suits your hearing.

Many Ancient teachings are not trying to be elusive, they are talking to the people of that time - and times change. In the West real everyday people that were born from non-immaculate non-virgins and who fart and burp are Awakening. They are awakening from all walks of life, and unlike our recent past, they are not all going to insane asylums or getting drug treatment because we live in a society that is clueless regarding Awakening. Many of them are finding real help from other Awakened individuals (love the internet) and this Awakening) is currently at a rate that is unprecedented in written history. The very vast majority of seekers are clueless about Awakening but the number of Awakened teachers that are available by skype, e-mail, phone and in-person has brought them into our lives like never before. And if you hate Skype, e-mail and phones - just remember the story of the guy drowning and asking for gods help and when boats and planes and all sorts of help arrives and he refuses it because he is waiting for god and after he dies he asks god why he forsook him, god says "I sent boats and planes and ...." I've sat in large groups and could not hear or see the teacher, I could not hear or see the question asker - with skype or in podcasts the clarity is nearly perfect and you are right there looking at them from inches or feet away. We have such extreme perfection pictures of who or what should become enlightened - this video was of someone who has Awakened - I do not know if he is awake/fully aware 7/24 as one who is truely awakened is - but he is no longer speaking from his practice or books or clairvoyance or intuition. Go to www.batgap.com You will find over 200 interviews with people from all walks of life telling of their Awakening, just before and after it happened. Start with the first 200 because lately they have veered off into many other types of interviews. As you watch or listen to the interviews notice just how much judgement you are steeped in, and also notice the vast differences in the Awakening process - what a joy to know that the "rules" are part of the illusion and that Awakening is at hand every moment. Dawg has recently awoken - he is here - look at his story - he relates a story of one monk who awoke when he was taking a piss. Dawg clearly awoke - yet in his postings he is practically passed over as just another one of us with a high point that happened lately, and then we yawn and go on with our blogging. We live in extremely exciting times. - awakened teachers are in every big city and the coasts are glittering with them. (one in a whole country would be a great thing in the past) But don't pass the ones you are holding hands with right here. So many experts - so few questions.

Spotless, on 19 Jun 2014 - 23:21, said: We tend to think in extreme pictures - our judgements are harsh. We are afraid to take a step for fear of appearing like a sucker but we will rain down hell on someone who ventures out in a mismatched pair of socks. We live in the future so as not to make a mistake. We compete for everything but don't want it if it's not selling well. If we pick up a good scent we want to hump it to death. While this is often true, it was not what I was trying to communicate. We "imagine" (negative or positive) and analyze constantly and in extremes. We are in a constant buzz and nearly always in the future or past or concocting a judgment. We also cling to things like they are going to save us or heal us or be the Elixer we need to satisfy us. The miraculous happens as Dawg put it - at a time we least expect it - when for some moment this stops. Much of cultivation is the constant breaking of this pattern.

  8. The Moral Problem

The word inevitable is something not clear to me - oddly I have not pondered it much - but I have dealt with it many times directly. Futures can be altered and futures can be revealed and take full advantage of. Yet, I was a Philosophy major and so I am well aware of how far you can take that discussion. But from experience, futures can be seen in advance and then viewed without change or they can be just as easily changed with the same ease as changing channels on a radio but even easier.
  9. I am aware of the M De Salzmann's lineage - same frozen problem - nearly pertrified in place but quite "interesting". I like reading her material. Some of her more famous students living in the Bay Area are very much alive and well but as derailed by the process as any I have ever encountered - though brilliant - derailed. The great thing in every Gurdjieff group I am familiar with is the group setting and the rules (however poorly they are attended to). Problems with tyrants and a whole host of fantasy accomplishments help to solidify very extreme pictures regarding "alchemy" and other topics which the typical body of Gurdgieff students practically seem to be proud of their ignorance in these things rather than blemish their "seeking". But - the group settings are a thing to behold - not for content - but for the energy of the effort and the containment of energy - it is something to see and feel - very real - electric! I have never been in such intense groups with such a lacking of cumulative mass and next to no idea what they were doing. But doing it they were - many for years and years - yet far and wide fearful of taking a wrong step in any of the many many directions Gurdgieff walked all over the place in. I don't have a problem with insider language, most of it is not designed to be insider language, the teachings of the west often grow a new language rather than use Asian words or because the teaching is wrapped to a western take and common words don't do the trick. (Some do it for hokey reasons). I find the complete works of Gurdjieff and his students to be excellent. Practically speaking I find they offer little at the expense of seeming you are getting somewhere. Gurjieff brought forward the East and literally put it on a stage - he bent and cracked energy and did a hell of a job. The Theosophical Society contains "his teaching" and far far more in a useable western format not dumbed down or turned into esoterica. From it we see the incredible works of Rudolf Steiner evolve, Annie Besant and a great many more.

  11. All and Everything is a book which holds you to certain tones / frequencies until things begin to break up in your space. Gurdjieff brought a lot from the east to the west. Not much original but presented with quite a flair and in the words of a western man. Most of those enthused by him are not as well aquatinted with his considerable mixing and fighting in a sense with the Theosophical Society which was on so many levels superb and nearly all of which can be downloaded for free at The Project Gutenberg. As a teaching and guiding legacy it is well ahead of Gurdjieff in overall volume and teaching quality though don't judge it by any one author or any of its spats. Most of the very best of what has come down to us regarding Gurdjieff is from Peter Ouspensky, a student of Gurjieff, though "all and everything" has an effect that can be quite useful and powerful. In the end, Ouspensky found the approach of the teachings of Gurdjieff to be flawed in the sense that they were "top down" teachings. I would agree with that summation though it took me many years to see this clearly. If you look at the various schools spun from the Gurdjieff works including the original lineage, you will find a real dearth of Awakening and those schools are aware of the problem. Controversy has surrounded several including the Forth Way group out of the S.F. Bay Area. The tendency for one to become "all head" in a Gurdjieff group and with ideals that prevent growth and healthy exploration are very high. All of that said, the reading is fascinating - but the meat is mostly found elsewhere. Some of the western wording that they came up with is very helpful - self remembering - intentional suffering - shocks - octaves etc. unfortunately using these in the context of the language of those schools invariably leads one into and not out of the very things one wishes to extricate oneself from. You get the real feeling you are privy to some inside information that you now know and with an awakened teacher and a good group of shocks and some effort and then poof - you will have figured it out. Top down - not very effective.
  12. Gods created out of Fear

We live in a world with far less violence than in most of the past. In fact most everything is getting better though we are beginning to feel the need to examine what we are wading about in up to our knees and here in the USA we have an alarming number of people who appear to have gone completely off the deep end. People are Awakening at a fantastic rate all over the globe - check out www.batgap.com Over 200 interviews with Awakened individuals with a focus on what that process was like just before and in the following weeks, months year. Start at the early interviews - recently the interviews are less centered on this aspect. It also maps out where these people are and in every case how to contact them. Accessibility is everywhere - only "ideals" get in the way of moving forward quickly once you set foot on the path.
  13. The Moral Problem

It is very different The number crunching falls away - in fact it becomes effort of a sort, though not a problem. Thoughts no longer flood the river of buzz we lived in previously - "thoughts" are of little importance. One is no longer swimming in the river of buzz - not because of disdain for it or because we have risen above it - it simply cannot tug us into inertia, nothing to grab onto. Right / wrong, good / evil, just / unjust falls flat. Decision making in any normal sense changes radically - you are not constantly perusing the future - the future falls away and for a time you are dealing with the freefall effect. Sleep falls away Your story becomes as remote as your life as a sheep herder 1000 years ago. Much of what you were "doing" sits there like a dead log.
  14. I cannot see any energetic disability regarding Qi Gong from circumcision. (I am not circumcised so I am not speaking from personal experience - but it would not appear to have any consequence on advanced techniques involving breathing techniques and so forth in that area) I would say definitely not anything of any consequence even if some damage beyond normal had occurred as a result of the operation (aside from testicular damage).
  15. Dantein

Rara - this is a cut-and-paste from a previous post I made that fits your question: When I was 14 my Lower Dan Tien (LDT) turned on. I was at a ski area and it had turned to -5 degrees and I was in danger of hypothermia - I was not wearing much, the ski area had a swing in temperature of about 30 degrees. At about the time that I became very very concerned suddenly my LDT turned on and became quit hot, within just minutes my entire body was steaming from earlobes to toes. I was able to traverse through three ski lifts and get back to the lodge like this. When you add in wind factor as I was blasting down the hill with no hat on either, it was a pretty specific mechanism that was working. (I had no idea what it was at the time, but it was certainly not something I had developed in this life through any conscious practice) The second time the same LDT turned on was during a breakup with a girlfriend - the emotions were very difficult and then just a suddenly as before my lower dan Tien turned on and just started processing these waves of emotion. When I say processing it was more like they all went into the furnace. (Same focused ball of heat). The second event happened at a time when I was well aware of my chakras and I did not associate this phenomenon with the chakras. I was not at the time aware of the teaching of the dan Tien's.

I tend to dislike the use of "mind" for broad awareness capacities but it is not necessarily necessary to have the mind locate it - it can jump right out at you sometimes.
  17. Please help me understand this!

You are doing well and what you have formulated regarding time is well written - do you believe it? Some of the points are arguable but the general dissatisfaction with our fixation with Time is part of looking at this stuff. Most angst is a cross reference between where we think we are and where we should be or desire to be in time. Qi Gong practice will pop you into the now on a daily basis and being brought back to the now regularly can become a habit that will remove angst and a whole lot more. Yoga does this as well and practically every town in the USA has a yoga instructor.
  18. How does "energy" fit into your practice

This matter of fact approach is enticing but can also be pretty limiting as it tends to create the impression that one knows something: Saying "all manifestation is simply energy" is true but it has a very different tone if you say "all manifestation is energy". Also, the statement that "our experience of it is a simple consequence of our biological sensory apparatus" is a bit presumptive. You know this to be true? Have you ever been completely outside of your body and fully aware? Is your 3rd eye open? Is seeing something with the 3rd eye of the biological sensory apparatus? How about seeing something during the day while you are completely out of your body fully conscious while your body is wide awake ? When you are seeing with extreme clarity but not in your body and not in your 3rd eye or head or biological sensory apparatus? With regard to the original post: One answer could be "it's all like water" - whether its tea or coffee or lemonade - 99% of it is water. But one could also say: tea and coffee and lemonade are simply not the same thing no matter how close they may seem. Monkeys and Mankind are just a gene or two away from being the same but we are not the same. Qi as cultivated in Qi gong has a very different feel from kundalini and it has a very different speed and color. Earth energy Cosmic energy Meridian energy Auric energy Male Female Neutral Emotional tones Animal tones Transmedium energy Telepathic Pulses Breath Wetness Dryness Heat Cold Vortex Lots of different energies - I think you can argue with or against the water argument and be correct in both.
  19. Extent of possibilities

I hope you are noticing that most of us here start to feel like we are walking on egg shells with this question. The answer is clearly yes but the idea of offering encouragement to do so to someone who has the need to ask The question elicits a resounding NO. If you are doing Qi Gong it will do what you are asking without the need to will it to your head. But memory and speed levels are more typically increased by actual mental exercises. Are you young and wanting extra brain performance or are you older and trying to regain lost performance? Simple speed reading programs that are very inexpensive will radically increase the speed of many brain functions. Doing 1-3 logic problems a day will flip your head to "on" pretty fast as well.
  20. Please help me understand this!

It might be helpful if you let us know where you are - you may have resources that are quite close to you. Also - many awakened teachers are now emerging here in the USA and all over the place. Many teachings are available online live. TheLearner's suggestion was very good - contrary to a whole bunch of inner reservations - joining groups offers many opportunities for growth and he stated it very well when he said " don't look for perfect look for good" (or something very close to that).
  21. Dantein

I am unclear with what you are differing with me: It is fine to imagine something in the beginning - but this is not creating the LDT from scratch, nor is "imagining the chakras" creating the chakras. I am not talking from a hypothetical standpoint - but even from a book learning standpoint I have never read anything that would infer that these things do not exist prior to acclimating one to them. The imagination process is done for many reasons including acclimating to the use of intentional awareness upon areas in order to feel them and practice with the body as abilities come into ones awareness. When you have acquired this sight you will see these energy centers in all animals including humans. Actively working with them in the beginning is "pretending they are there" while in fact they are very much there already. If you are reading books to the contrary they are either bad translations or written by one of the many writers of fiction in this regard.
  22. Dantein

Even by doing just about everything wrong - intent and drive can heal even the very bottom and the most mislead. Fear is the greater disfunction. Don't fear ripping or damaging your dan Tien's - just don't go about beating them with a hammer and hanging out at fireworks factories while having a BBQ. Even with the worst of it, you are untouched and spotless - don't confuse you and You.
  23. Dantein

You can see the chakras and the dan tien's, if you develop the sight they are very clear - they are not imaginary. And a slight correction to one of the postings: You can "rip, tear and damage" these energy centers. The original post was with regard to ejaculation and absorbing earth energy in deep meditation within 3 days of ejaculation. Given the context / "all and everything" of the original posters way of stating the questions - it was apparent that zero worry was necessary - but that does not mean that these energy centers are not subject to damage - they are subject to all sorts of forces and lack of forces. Example: We are constantly building up reserves of energy - yet we all have habits that deplete them. We do not see the great reams of energy flying out of our space in anger and the disruption it causes within our energetic space nor the great delay it causes us because of the slow rebuilding process of the finer structures in our higher bodies. Drugs can create many odd patterns. Structural skeletal imbalances can create shutdowns in whole areas and without the effort of re routing or fixing these issues certain growth will typically grind to a halt for that life. Advanced practice forced upon the system can create havoc that is frequently similar to heavy drug use / alcohol abuse. Overall the body can handle a great deal, but when you start working with the higher octane fuels and the rocket systems begin working it can start to be like a chain smoker in a fireworks factory. Let's say you have the tenacity to grind and bare 3 hours of meditation or few days at say 1 hour and you are a relative beginner but you have the drive. Let's even imagine it was pretty "lousy" meditation that you got out of a book and put together from what you decided were the best parts. You can walk away from this meditation with huge amounts of energy available to you. For many this can be a difficult time to sit around and absorb this new space - you may go on a bender or stay up all night, binge eat, chain smoke, porn out or all of the above if these are your proclivities. You may go in the opposite direction and start writing books and create classes based on fragments of other teachings and a lie in your space covered up by "results" if this direction is your proclivity - most of the books we have come from this. You may also become hooked on everything that gets results the fastest - advanced breathing exercises, advanced area specific exercises - or just regular breathing and area specific exercises taken to the extreme. This is often an act of inducing a volatile racing fuel into a series of lawn mowers - you just blow the whole group out and end up in outer-space not knowing which end is up.
  24. Happy Father's Day

It's my 7th Father's Day We are spending it here in Hawaii with my mother on her 97 year, in my wife's 47th year and her father's 77th year. All the best!
  25. Gods created out of Fear

The notion of gods is something worth looking at. An awakened individual is the first step from our level. In a valley it may be those tending to the various kingdoms in nature there. Our guides may seem like gods but they can and frequently are of a "lesser" plane. The notion of a god may be altogether an overstatement, an identification with the idea of "something beyond our capabilities" or the assumption of "one who can do anything" or as the "creator of all". We do not hold much judgement back from that which we know nothing about - we assume the wind is random - but that "god" knows each time we pick our nose. We do not see a continual hierarchy of realms. We see us and project a world revolving around our us-ness.
