  1. When Time stands still

I remember one time in stillness feeling this ping going around in my body - an electrical impulse moving about my body and I watched it for quite some time and then realized it was the impulse of shivering - I was shivering.
  2. Druids. Who knew?

One of Louie Lamore's last books was about a young Druid in search of his father - excellent book!
  3. PPF behavior and rules

It really is a blessing to be able to put someone on your ignore preferences and not be caught up in a spin with them. Some of the posters have a great deal to offer but are at this time unable to get past themselves - and so - it is not your problem to tit and tat with them as this is exactly what the false thrives on. You cannot win with some of them and winning is a devolution into their game - the one they are caught up in. If the idea of using the ignore preferences bothers you, then try practicing watching the weeds grow. Notice that the weeds grow easily and will gladly choke out a good garden with no regard for the real food plants. Their are several well read and accomplished members here that at the present time are weeds and only weeds. They are swine - do not cast your pearls before them - it is a waste of good pearls and hard on our ears.
  4. Druids. Who knew?

Whether their was a biblical Jesus I would not debate either way. I Do consider his teaching a lost teaching at the very best and consider the entire bibical story of Jesus nothing remotely close to the real story. The name Jesus was among the most common names during the time of his supposed existence, so if anyone from that area was visiting anywhere, they might well be named Jesus.
  5. PPF behavior and rules

Aaaaahhhhhhh - welll - now it is all less mystical....................

  7. Bums Average Age

  8. PPF behavior and rules

Could we all try to at least once give full spelling to what can later be just letters? What is a PPF?
  9. Meditation reduces the effects of aging in many ways and on many levels. In doing meditation one breaks up and ebbs away energy that is stuck. Complex energy proclivities from our personality/ego undergo changes as well as many genetic proclivities. Whole ranges of reactionary proclivities cease and are not replaced - this gives our lives more "time" "in life". This process re-enlivens those otherwise deadend and reactive areas and pathways that normally construct walls and blinders on us as we live life. Most people are largely dead by 50 having closed themselves off to much of life and shut many doors of perception. For most such as these only a great shock can bring them around somewhat. A life of fear can be seen in the face. The subjugation of spirit is obvious in the physical. However long a plant may live, the life of one that is freed from infestation and given the light of the sun that it needs to grow - this is one that will age well. During the time you are here your eyes will be clearer, you will be less animated by the illusion and more stirred from within, you will have less pain, better skin and the light surrounding you will be much more even and bright and crystalline.
  10. When Time stands still

There is apparently a book about being in the "zone" and many athletes recount very similar stories - going into complete slowmo in the middle of some epic play.
  11. What is the longest you've ever meditated?

18 hours. The amount of time one meditates is only important in that you move through the unconscious stages at least in the beginning years. It usually takes at least 20 minutes and often students leave their bodies by this time and the rest of the meditation is really just an out of body experience. Breathing really helps in this regard. For most students seeking deeper states at least 40 minutes is necessary to settle into a more aware state and get past unconsciousness. Generally, real meditation takes place from this point onward. Breathing - a sort of maintenance breathing - is often necessary to maintain through some of the changes that take place as blocking patterns reach a peak vibration and then blow. These cause many short unconscious variations and also frequently they create popping sounds in and around the neck region. Outside of 1 hour, staying awake should not be a problem. If you are in fact not up to meditation at a certain point because your body needs rest, then you should rest and not practice poorly. In our practice we may be at times driven to meditate for long periods of time. Certainly many of the great masters tell us of their long meditation sessions and hardships so it is natural for some to meditate for what is to some a ridiculously long amount of time. Yet for many of us who have done long meditation, we do not understand some of the problems others have with staying awake. Staying awake during meditation becomes easier and easier as you move along in a sitting - after an hour or so one becomes more and more awake. By the 4-6th hour I am typically wide awake, spine very straight and no limbs are numb at all. At the end of 18 hours I was very wide awake but my body signaled that it was time to end it. (I was never forcing myself to push the hours, it just was a wonderful experience and I had no wish to stop). 14 hours into the 18 hour meditation my kundalini exploded - it was an exciting ride with a nice landing and on I went for the remaining hours. In my meditation practice I avoid trance and stay in my body (I am not interested in a "trance" debate) My meditation is a concoction of many forms but chiefly Raja Yoga and I am in the center of my head.
  12. What can masculinism do for women?

At one point my Clairaudience allowed me to hear the different races and hear women and men. One very striking observation was that my body reacted very negatively to two of the races. It was a profound awakening to just how much we are our bones. I was able to adjust to neutrality quickly, in one case almost spontaneously but in the other my entire body needed to adjust to the sound in order to be neutral and it took quite a bit of time. I did not have this reaction to the sounds of women and men but physically my reaction to women has been a wild impairment to my senses for nearly as long as I can remember - certainly I was effected as a very young child (3ish) and I remember certain sensations in reaction to women as early as when I was in the crib. I have noticed many of these same things in my young son. As I have traveled around the world it is obvious that these instinctive traits are everywhere. Regarding races we somewhat naturally want to kill or subjugat "our genetic enemies" and the dislike of some of their sounds is far more powerful and far more of a leader in our behavior than we suspect. In gender differences and how they are developed, the differences from cultural influences are striking - you cannot miss them unless you are very dim. It appears that in much of the world both men and women are enjoying a sort of blossoming of resonance within their gender and those in transitional genders are also being given more space to settle in. This seems to be happening in sink with the demise of many religious strongholds, particularly that of the Catholic Church. It is heartening to watch many of the videos my young son watches - while they are certainly not perfect and the number of dead is in the trillions, a great number of them have Earth Wind Water and Fire in their themes, along with strong females and Eastern wisdom, Native American wisdom and contemplation. Sprit is constantly addressed as well as virtue in the widest sense. While it is easy to be sentimental about the cartons I watched when I was a kid, these new ones (generally ) are a steep jump up from the ones I watched. Also, nearly 50% (so it seems) of the kids I know take some martial art at least twice a week. This is excellent for all genders. Sport Yoga (not actual yoga but sold under the name Yoga) is super popular in the teens and up and while not actually yoga proper, it can act as a bridge into real practice. Having role models is always helpful, and the newest role models look pretty good and getting better.
  13. Advanced practices such as spinal breathing prior to preparation is nearly the same as taking LSD and Speed together.
  14. So we have CBT and SSRI and DW and OBE It might actually be helpful to at least once use the full wording prior to a full post with no reference.
  15. Adverse Effects of Contemplative Practices article

Very few teachers have either the knowledge to virtually eliminate these problems nor the school structure to facilitate it. Most new students are not screened for diet and a whole host of questions that will tell you where their practice is at and what they are trying to achieve and what they are working on etc. Few teachers can spot a person with transmedium problems - (beings) - and even fewer have a remote clue as to how to handle one, and a very large percentage have these issues - particularly when one starts to raise ones energy. Many teachers have all sorts of information on increasing the flow of energy but do not understand the idea of turning certain energies down after certain practices. So, what often happens is a person already a bit on the frail side of self ownership raises their energy and may say something after a class like "god I feel like I have never felt in my life, I can feel my chakras wide open and everything feels and looks light and glowing ........................" While this sounds pretty cool and this person will sell your teaching for you - this is what I see: The being residing in the body is enjoying the higher vibration that the body in now experiencing - all well and good - but they are now out of class and the "house (their body) has all the doors and windows open" and its selling free drinks (high frequency) to anyone passing by because it's party time! This then can move from a normal person with a growing grip on life to a growing and disintegrating "house of roommates". In another scenario, the person may be making huge strides and inertia is falling away, their clarity of likes and dislikes (judgement) is fading, mind seems to be stopping but intermittently or with alarming frequency and doubts of all sorts set in - quitting sets in - at the wrong time and at a precious time - and too few teachers have anything to say on this because either they do not know how to recognize it or their school does not have aids monitoring the students well - certainly most larger followings have so much ass kissing (politics) going on that you can't get past the hugs to find a teacher or aid, or nobody will talk about these things because of the shame and uncertainty that they feel. Also - if you are doing everything "right", you are constantly breaking up patterns which means you are permanently the odd man In the room - no one likes a constantly changing person especially the "person" you are trying to get rid of. So here you are walking around with a part of you hating your practice but forever trying to "adopt it" without your knowledge so that it can co-opt it out from under you while at the same time your practice keeps breaking through the veneer of your false personality gaining a glimpse here and there and all the while you need to function in a world gone mad but that you still have attachment to certain issues (save the children) and so it goes with this odd duck thing - but in the background the glorious ness is becoming evident and regardless of how your friends and family may judge you, a magnetic center in you has ammassed to a critical no return level and you are going to see this through if it takes a hundred lifetimes. All that said - the path is safe and nothing you can do will damage that that is you - it remains spotless.
  16. This guy sounds enlightened to me.

This is a big point: "A year a two ago I probably wouldn't believe all of this awakening stuff as it isn't the traditional way most paths talk about it" People write off these very important steps - we become such "experts" in all the "esoteric" stuff that if it is not a mind boggling shift that takes place to someone who has meditated for super human hours on end then it can't happen. Yet every teacher who has ever spoken on the subject tells us that Awakening is instantly available - it is right before our eyes - it is already with us and all we need is a slight shift in our awareness. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Now we immediately go onto a debate as to whether this Awakening is Enlightenment and jump on that circle jerk - which is fine. What is more interesting is the fine bits of scent now exposed in these interviews regarding the trail we are trying to follow leading to awakening. At the very least we know Enlightenment does not start until you Awaken, and if it is The starting point and the process from then on is one of never ending unfoldment, then it is relatively safe to say it is the point at which one enters the enlightened state or if you have to have your way - the state of the beginning of enlightenment. The younger one is, the easier it is to make these jumps - but the razor sharp write-offs we make when we are younger can obliterate any hope for early jumps. Watching these videos or listening to the podcasts of them really brings the most significant step down to a workable and much more focused present. This is all about Be Here Now
  17. This guy sounds enlightened to me.

What was dark is now well lit. Still room for exploring and learning - in a well lit space with no inertia. In the present. It seems Awakening is Enlightenment - at least in that realm - here the ideas are room for all sorts of fun weighty argument. You can't skip awakening and jump to enlightenment so much of the discussion could be viewed as a Does God Exist discussion. Down where the rubber meets the road - many Enlightened teachers were not breathairians, did not say things like "life is like a waterfall" and did not walk on mysteriously appearing rose petals - they ate, burped and shit and often had "bad habits" and yet it would be very hard to take the title away from them.
  18. Hermetic and Occult - Change?

    Good point on religions!
  19. This guy sounds enlightened to me.

Awakening is that step out of suffering and one could call that Enlightenment - there are degrees of Enlightenment. In the West - though this is true everywhere - we like our gods and we like putting them up there so high that we can become professional opinionators on what they are up to and what they think. But most gods are concerned with the kingdom they work in and they are vast but accessible and don't talk with big booming intimidating voices. The Enlightened ones are Awake - one could say this is their key feature. I have to admit here that I do not remember much regarding what I have read about the different degrees of enlightenment so I cannot talk in that form - but the wisest saying that I have ever heard uttered was from Socrates " the only thing I know is that I know nothing". If an Awakened individual takes that bit of wisdom with him then the growth will be exponential - I do not see an end to the unfolding. So I am not sure if "reaching enlightenment" is ever possible - or perhaps it has been reached when entering the state of awakeness.
  20. This guy sounds enlightened to me.

Practice comes in many forms, we have always had awakening in people that "have not practiced". All it takes is a moment of disengagement. We also do not have any idea what they may have done in a past life. Cultivation certainly seems to improve the odds.
  21. Hermetic and Occult - Change?

I like "western esoteric traditions" better.
  22. This guy sounds enlightened to me.

I do not listen to the interviews of "interesting" people - just the ones of those Awakened and that is why I recommended listening to the earlier interviews as most of them are specifically of those who have awakened and with regard to those details surrounding the awakening event. You can usually tell in the intro if this is the case or not. Regarding channelling - it is very real and I am adept in it but the subject is of no interest to me other than it is as easy as making pie and typically just an enormous detour and for most people channeling is also a health risk because the beings take over and need the vessel to be at a high vibration so the body is used and abused. I have watched many go drift off into outer space with this stuff - very good people - toasted or entirely taken over. I think GrandP would agree - he also has quit a bit of experience in this.

Bing! Edit to add: Apparently some scrolling is needed, it would be neat to hear what those who aren't trying to sell their several books on the topic have to say, just regular people (which is what I think is neat about the concept of the site, can find those who write books all over). One of the exciting things about these interviews is precisely this "edit to add"! Many of these interviews were with people with no website, no nothing - they are really still finding their footing in it all. It is perfectly imperfect and completely chewy just like it spilled on the floor right out of the box. On the other hand - you have some stupendous teachers telling you the most intimate details of the experience as it happened to them blow by blow. You even have one guy who woke up at age 4 and has since always been awake 7/24, and he is only just now sharing his story with the world - he has no books - no videos - he has so far been completely accessible and free. (I don't wish to imply I have any problem with teachers charging money)

Please visit www.batgap.comIt is Buddha At the gas pump Interviews with over 200 individuals that have Awakened. Start with the first 200 (lately they have been interviewing "interesting" people but not many awakened ones). I bring up this recommendation because I have been so surprised by responses such as this - and their have been quite a few. This Awakening is new to us here in the West and it is happening now all over the place. Frequently it is happening to those that do not practice at all. The process is not what we think it is - it is very different. We need every moresell of the experience told to us again and again by every type out there. It is common for those reaching this state to seek the advice of doctors - and in the past many may have been put into wards or put through shock therapy - but not for the reasons that you might think. A key feature to the Awakened person is that they are now Awake 7/24 - they no longer lose awareness during sleep. Depending on the particular individual the process of aclimating to Awakening takes several years - though in India we see many accounts of someone awakening (again often without practice) and then going to a cave unable to speak for as many as seven years before they are ready to be "in" the world of men again. We also find here in the West (and perhaps throughout the world) an very real absurd extreme idea as to what sort of person can reach an Awakened state - and obv, iously it's not Bob who was sitting next to me at the last satsang - he's a jerk. But - Bob it may be - in all his obnoxious glory. Some think the Awakening process brings you to instant omniscience - you now know if anyone in your following is picking their nose and all things have been revealed - no more learning process - simply not so. Awakening is a gigantic step but it is the first step in enlightenment - and it is something that should be normal for us all - it should be a starting point for us at a young age. Please enjoy listening to someone telling you every detail as they experienced it - because it takes it out of the dreamy ideas we have about what it is like, the notions of who can have this change, the ideas we have of "earning" it. What we in the West know nothing about we will readily admit (yea right) but then when someone from our own tells of their experience we cring and don't want to hear it. It sparks jealousy and more than anything - extreme judgement - we want to know what kind of underwear they wear - as though our seal of approval is important. The apple polishers don't always get the prize - and nothing wrong with apple polishers (though I say this with a truck of salt), but what is strikingly evident is that all sorts of people "flip" the switch. It is a good thing to hear of their experience before, during and after and to see the words they come up with to teach what they have to offer. You may not like their choice of words and so this judgement you have can be something for you to work on and indeed they may not be right for you - but we are seeing and hearing teachings from all walks of life that have Awakened. Expose your virgin ears to all forms of these stories - not just the ones from the great masters of the East. Hear the voice that rails agaist hearing these stories - listen to the analytic buzz - it is a measure of your personality.
  25. Dawg has recently awoken and he is here posting in our midst and it is truely something to be excited about. I am making this post for several reasons - not the least of which is just what it is labeled - a toast to Dawg!!! We wish you all of our support and thank you for being here with us while half a world away!
