  1. What a beautiful verse: "Because there is no impediment, he is not afraid And leaves the distorted illusion far behind; Ultimately Nirvana"
  2. care to share? Yes, it was a treasure. It had just been written in a lined tablet, nothing special. But what a picture it gives into this man's loving nature. A loving nature that was borne of pain that is indescribable. Mental institutions, prisons, alleys. Dumpsters. To Recovery, recovery by seeking himself out, within. To end up with a shining pearl of a soul. I feel honored to have gotten to witness that transformation, difficult as it was. His heart was shining gold.
  3. Not a student, but well read in all disciplines. His primary path was Castaneda.

  9. Mysticism

What he realizes, is that we are always in a state of manifesting. Somehow we have created exactly what we've got, through will, even if that will takes you around in circles. I know of a lady who repeatedly manifests victimhood. There's always a reason for why something isn't going to work. It is now her identity. People buy into it for a while, then they cut her loose. She creates a no-win situation for herself by cogitating everything to death. We've talked about this, and apparently this tendency started as a young girl, needing attention from her dad. Almost like a lifetime passive-aggression that has worked against her pretty badly. We have the choice of what we manifest; however, we have to get rid of the shadows first. That means looking at ourselves each and every time we get into an iffy situation, and seeing exactly what part we played in it. That's a good place to start for anybody.
  10. Mysticism

Yes. With the movie screen. Or maybe it was whenever Hugh Jackman was on the screen. Come to think of it....
  11. Collecting Unexpected Consequences

I totally agree. I was surprised that the young ones were able to contain themselves.
  12. Collecting Unexpected Consequences

Unexpected consequence of the Taliban being able to contain their anger at the Americans as they assist them in leaving the country. Surprising maturity for the Taliban as so many of them are so young.
  13. Everyone post some favorite quotes!

Thank you Eduardo. That is wonderful. I was a little taken back by the mention of error, mistake, and failure to be avoided. But upon further reflection, if a person is conducting their business by not-doing, they would not be prone to mistakes. They will remain in the flow of the universe and things will always come out of the wash perfectly ironed.
  14. Mysticism

I had a strange thing happen the other day. I went to see Reminiscences, with Hugh Jackman. I was in the back row with a big tub of popcorn. I do admit to taking a few puffs before I went into the theater. The movie is crazy metaphysical. I thought it was a masterpiece, but I may be alone there. But the chairs in the theater are the wonderful recliner kind, so my feet were up in front of me. Every time someone said something in the movie that was metaphysically viable, or approached truth as I understand it, my feet would come off the chair and point at the screen and maintain an electrical connection until the person stopped talking. It was a definite current. Good shit, Maynard.
  15. So I wonder which species had the tori?
  16. Really interesting, Nungers. If anyone knows what a torus is, I have one on the roof of my mouth. Plural is tori. I have wondered if this trait isn't somehow a remnant of a skull shaped a little differently. The torus is a unusual bone growth. I am fully prepared to accept the fact that I am most likely descended from a Neanderthal.
  17. Eye at the back of the mouth

I can't wait to see how this ends.
  18. The TM rabbit hole

I find it quite strange that Chandra acquired burning mouth syndrome and had to stop. That is truly an odd manifestation for someone with that particular talent.
  19. I find that they're usually a confirmation of something else, like something running through my mind at just that moment. The thought- intent seems to combine with a visual aid. What are the odds of that happening? Not very high, I would think. It's happened too many times about things of importance, and this synchronicity should be respected. Don Juan, in Castaneda's books, would tell Carlos to stop when something strange like that happens, and triangulate it (my word). Look at what you are manifesting at that moment, whether it's seemingly good or seemingly bad. Know that you are manifesting this situation, whatever it is. Take ownership of it; Know that it is you that has created this, and sometimes his moment in time may be a repetition of a pattern that has been trying to get your attention. Maybe a pattern that formed from a very young age. Most do. The alignment with the physical and the mental stream of intent happens periodically, more and more often on the path. If you perceive yourself as a victim, a victim you shall always be until you walk through the original source of the dynamic. If you keep perceiving yourself as a victim, that'll be the path you stay on. I find it helpful, and I think that increased synchronicity is either trying to tell you something, or it's a nice big thumbs up. You can look at it depending on what you need. but it is definitely a Thing.
  20. The TM rabbit hole

This thought comes to mind; that this is the very intersection of the biblical beginning and the sound arising from silence. In the beginning was the word, and the word was with god, and the word was god. I'm guessing that sound produced rotation of matter. No time without rotation.
  21. Caduceus - staff of Hermes

The voice of one who figured that out long ago?

If you consistently find yourself looking at the back of her head, you may be doing it wrong.
  25. Caduceus - staff of Hermes

Wow. that's beautiful. I am going to do a painting of that, maybe zoomed even further.
