  1. Zhan Zhuang is Not for Beginners

Do you know it or guess? This video was made on the basis of his seminar material. There are 8 postures. Interesting but Wuji is second one, tree (zhan zhuang is 5th one in order). And there is certain logic behind it. That why I asked why some people tend to stand still in ZZ only for prolonged period of time. Beginners wont do it right anyway so there is no point to do it for 40 minutes IMO But if you change hand positions you will work on different channels and it is better for the overall balance
  2. Zhan Zhuang is Not for Beginners

This thread began from this one
  3. Zhan Zhuang is Not for Beginners

I know how they do it in Longmen Taiji for instance - the tree stance is done after months of lower hands positions including Wuji In Yiquan you can watch the Bruce K.Frantzis sequence of the static postures and if you do it you will see that tree stance is 3d or 4th one in the sequence and it is not done for long period of time -- may be 3- 5 minutes for each position. This is more traditional way of doing it in the beginning of the cultivation
  4. Zhan Zhuang is Not for Beginners

This is Daoist Discussion section of the TDB, dude. If people ask, I can reply SOMETIME. Do you have problem with it? Just curious, have you ever stopped to ask yourself why you care so much how I respond in this section of TDB? Just remind you the title of the thread Zhan Zhuang is Not for Beginners Some people here like to invent their own methods calling it DAOIST methods I only wonder if you can answer in which Daoist lineage it is like that. But I am afraid you just copied this from Internet spreading the lie what people do in the Daoist lineages. And yes, I dont support spreading the misinformation. If you have problem with it - just report to administrators
  5. Does anybody know what is Shengong in Temple Style Taiji? I only heard there is such a method
  6. Zhan Zhuang is Not for Beginners

Wuji is first one in the book but as I have said people think this is for losers only but cool people DO TREE STANCE FOR 40+ MINUTES. They don't care to read that the author did it for 5 minutes each stance. Anyway this book is not for beginners and who told you that Yiquan is good stuff to begin with? Why not Xinyi or Taiji?
  7. Zhan Zhuang is Not for Beginners

The question I have is why you would go to work with middle center in the beginning of YOUR cultivation process
  8. Zhan Zhuang is Not for Beginners

Here yiquan guy thinks he is relaxing shoulders but in fact his qi went up in the front of the body causing involuntary movements
  9. Zhan Zhuang is Not for Beginners

How do you know this? Have you been living for 300 years? The word Kung Fu means just mastery or art. They teach ZZ before anything else in SOME of the contemporary wushu styles like Yiquan but even in yiquan they begin from Wuji stance. People who read yiquan books, do not pay attention to this fact, they just skip it and go straight to ZZ stance thinking they are advanced practitioners
  10. Zhan Zhuang is Not for Beginners

From dynamic exercises to activate meridians. The problem with ZZ (tree stance) is if your channels are not worked out properly, qi can go up in front channel instead of going on the back. So I agree this practice is not for beginners.
  11. Jing and Qi replenishment occurs automatically at the initial stage if you do your practice correctly while working on Ming. Good to begin from Wuji stance before you move. As for GE your teacher should explain it to you. What neigong system you practice btw?
  12. Is It Over? The Dao Bums Fall

Do you have your own system? Anyway I believe your system is better than MoPai
  13. Is It Over? The Dao Bums Fall

If you mean that Golden Era was when people were arguing which system is better... but this Era is not finished yet
  14. The gypsies relieved me of a considerable amount of money by giving me a false fortune-telling. But it's good that they were very courteous to me, it's nice to deal with such people
  15. No, you don't have to build a Dantian

    That is why
  16. No, you don't have to build a Dantian

This would be post-heaven "dantian" In theory Wuji can do it but practically it is unlikely. May be on advanced level it can work this way. Wuji posture activates one the 8 extra-ordinary channels and later can do more but it is very static meditation which qigong people talk about a lot but dont know what to do next after it
  17. Alchemy, is it real ??

    Where did you get it?
  18. Alchemy, is it real ??

Yes, it illustrates the path of leakage. But as Buddha said Hm, I have never thought this way but now the idea came to mind that in fact is to stop the leakage
  19. Alchemy, is it real ??

The "above" is referring to the Building Foundation stage at which LDT is built.
  20. No, you don't have to build a Dantian

Why do you think there is Building The Foundation stage in Neidan? It is not DM' idea. No foundation implies no ldt. Ordinary people never have had LDT but what they had is fullness of Ming at the age of 16 (men) and 14 (woman). This fullness does not imply LDT existence. Because it is not only Ming part is necessary for building LDT. Certain states of the heart - mind (Xin) and Innate Nature (Xing) are required for that as well. All that implies certain specific methods of cultivation. People have too much negative qi which corrupts Xin - Xing states and thus people do not have good enough conditions for LDT presence within themselves. What can be activated is 8 extra-ordinary and 12 "medicine" channels which are blocked
  21. Alchemy, is it real ??

At the moment I have found this one This is exсerpt from "hui-ming ching" in translation by Eva Wong. So if you say this is smth that exists only on physical level it must have form and shape
  22. Alchemy, is it real ??

There is yangshengong for longevity. Neidan goal is different Does LDT exist only on physical level inside the abdomen? What about some Daoist texts where Daoist teachers wrote that there is smth that is "no inside nor outside"?
