  1. Platonist - NeoPlatonist Site

Allow me to be the first, to thank you so very much for sharing this with us all. that website is an absolute goldmine of information on neo-platonism. Never seen anything like it. Thank you good sir.
  2. I practice Hermetic Magic, the Greek form of practice, ie absolutely nothing to do with qaballa in any capacity. I practice it because I believed that our ancestor knew something that we didnt, So i figured the only way to know for sure is to study the tenets & find out for myself, which is exactly what i did. I discovered my Chi through magic so I looked into Taoism, & began practicing Chi cultivation with Sword play & a few forms of Neigong, all to a syncretic, & continually beneficial, effect.
  3. anting-anting

Very interesting! thanks for sharing. while looking at those amulets i saw a lot of Qabbalah, Masonic, & maybe some gnostic stuff, but i didnt really see anything Hermetic, aka greek-egyptian. i can only imagine what kind of lineages one has to be initiated into to even make one of that level of effectiveness. i see this a lot in indonesian & iraqi culture but i didnt know it was like that in the Phillipines.
  4. The best way to learn Taoism

Dumb Thread. You dont really know Daoism & how deep it gets and how many layers there are without guidance down a worn path. no one figures out everything within in a lifetime. it takes one to truly know one. everything you read by a true master is experiential, not intellectual. which is pretty much most of it'll ever be to the vast majority of seekers, especially the ones who think they're too good for a teacher.
  5. Reiki

It is a possibility. but one that im not able to confirm seeing as though i havent been exposed to a different reiki. said person had a number of students that practiced the same way. that was my first experience with the understanding of energetic healing before I was a student to higher healing practices. So for me personally after that i did more research, and found that the same method, had been disseminated as reiki widely throughout the internet. so that is what ive been able to go off of. im in no way slandering True japanese descended Reiki, only that which i assume, has diverted and probably perverted their teachings.
  6. Reiki

that is correct. i should have elaborated more on that. basically what i meant is that instead of channeling direct energetic current into a patient, theres actually ways to "radiate" said energy instead of direct channeling to influence energetic healing, therefore saving the practitioner from their patients negative energy, keeps the healer from exhausting their own energy, and protects the patient from being overwhelmed by the healers current. good question.
  7. Reiki

I personally am not attuned, however I do, like a elaborated on my post which you most conveniently left out, have met claimed "masters" that did exactly what i said, and also people, in which their condition grew worse. i also said that i know that all reiki isnt like that. read my post closely and you will see this.
  8. Reiki

I see i caused quite a ruckus while i was gone with a misinterpreted post of mine. of the Reiki as most know it is no where near the cultivation of Mo pai Nei Gong, obviously. In my post i was talking about their Energetic method of healing.
  9. Reiki

What i find ironic about this whole argument, is that John Chang, the guy more pie practically worships, uses a very similar technique of HEALING to reiki, except maybe more knowledge/utilization of acupuncture meridians, and a higher level of cultivated chi. his technique is largely unrefined, compared to whats out there in other, more open lineages these days. I personally, would never use reiki, for the simple fact, that was briefly elaborated on in this thread, that "sludge" which is known as pelon in my tradition, can definitely be transferred to from the patient to the practitioner if one uses direct contact instead of projection. this effectively transfers said negative energy into the one transferring energy. and another thing, yet another example in this thread, of someones ache being amplified, this denotes a poor understanding of energetic usage, aka what kind of energy to use and when. im not saying that all reiki is like that, im sure some of the more direct lineages like hirai promote all of this, but i have yet to meet someone using reiki on this level. a lot of it is degenerated into new age, that ive personally experienced and have researched.
  10. Dr. Baolin Wu / White Cloud Monastery

Nope! No Videos exist. this form is esoteric, & is only circulated through the actual monastery & now through the book. so you will find close to nothing about it. besides learning from the book the only way is to learn from him directly. I personally learned the whole form correctly from the book. put in the effort, be diligent, you it shall be greatly rewarded, trust me on that
  11. Tai Chi Chuan & Ki Gong

Ask an Ethnic Chinese Chi gong master or acupuncturist about Ki, or Ki Gong, & they'll look at you like you're stupid & probably not know what you're talking about. This I know from personal experience
  12. Tai Chi Chuan & Ki Gong

Not to sound nitpicking or anything like that. but Ki, is the Japanese understanding for lifeforce, which may bring different connotations in their paradigm. the Chinese write it as either Qi, or Chi. the Japanese word for Chi Gong is Kiko.
  13. John Chang video

There's a few people who have met him here, and everything he says and demonstrates aligns perfectly with the potential within the internal science of neidan. what lineage do you practice?
  14. John Chang video

i personally believe that the reason that he has attained to such a level, he also elaborates on this in his book. is that, for the majority of Qigong practitioners, they cultivate the yang chi mostly, which is more of a flowing, radiating energy. whereas, he trains with yin chi as well, which is the agent of condensing the yang. which is kind of like pushing a river into a small tube instead of just the river itself, if that makes much sense lol. so basically he takes whatever yang that others cultivates, but instead he compresses it with yin. obviously the flow will be of a much higher strength than with the same amount as most others cultivate. but in all, yin chi isnt whats used for building spirit, because its the yang that creates similar awareness as living after death, which is was taught by my teacher, which correlates really well with what chang says. its basic concepts within the science of neidan.
  15. Quoted for emphasis, very eloquently put, neilida. another thing, that I have yet to hear any one touch upon. from an energetic stand point. beginners, matter fact the majority of people in some degree, have what we call blockages, which are like energetic dirt which impede, or completely block energetic flow. the fact that you can neither feel lifeforce or move it in any capacity, means that not only is your "Yi" aka will/intent, or mind body spirit connection, premature, but you more than likely are full of these blockages. do you realize what you're trying to do with the kundalini? activating it prematurely, is like turning on a hose full power, while its tied at one end. you think your life is a trainwreck now? this could potentially mentally, and physically debilitate you, this is the essence of the "kundalini syndrome" (please look it up) in no way am i trying to be condescending towards you, but you must understand that such endeavors, must be cultivated & worked up to from the inside out, to achieve a healthy experience from such things. undergoing shaktipat with blockages is a recipe for disaster. There is very many great reasons that the kundalini was very much seen as occult till the advent of the internet.
  16. edited to not bother wasting my time
  17. I personally think that what Theurgy & Seth are trying to say, is that its one thing to be a skeptic, which is absolutely fine to most im sure. But completely another to totally disrespect all Magical Lineages when you have absolutely no experience in said subjects. What did you expect with your whole "justin bieber wand" tirade a few posts back? have some respect for the beliefs that others have, doesn't mean in any way or form you have to either believe in it, or agree with it. Common courtesy goes a long way.
  18. Ritual Magic is in no way unique to western occultism. the Indonesians, Greeks, some Indian sects, definitely the Egyptians, the Celts, French Cathars, Hawaiian Kahunas, & the various shamanic tribes that preceded practically every civilization used ritual magic in one degree or another to definite effect. there also have been many Taoist sects in the past who have used ritual magic, & very often used Talismanic Magic, called "Fu's." Their style of using External Alchemy & emphasizing Ritual magic actually used to be in the majority in terms of Popularity before the Quanzhen school grew to be the most practiced school, which does not use much ritual magic/external alchemy in favor of internal alchemy & the internal Martial Arts. which i believed really began when the Dragon Gate Sect's leader, Qiu Chuji, saved Taoism, & probably most of chinese culture, from the Wrath of Genghis Khan. I have read Historical documentation of the extraordinary feats of a Daoist wizard in the time of the warring states era if anybody is interested. of course they weren't even called daoists in that time though.
  19. DnB, do you mind elaborating on the egregore of YHVH, & YHWH? i always like to hear what people have to say about it. is yhwh the same egregore as yhvh?
  20. Wu Dang Temple Monks

  23. Tip For "Haunted" Kunlun

DnB! good to see others speak of such things! i have yet to use such balls in my Qigong, but Magick is another story haha. what lineage of magic do you practice? or are you an eclectic?
  24. Interesting Stuff. i remember reading this a long time ago. its my personal belief that you cant separate Africa from magic in terms of its ancient history. which is why i feel that besides racism of course, African history has not received the attention it deserves. Theres even a letter floating around about King Leopold telling his Generals to purposely separate the native Congolese from their systems of mysticism in favor of orthodox Christianity. in my opinion it shows how threatened he felt by possibly their attainments, besides the obvious indoctrination attempt. which was incredibly interesting to me to say the least. I also find it interesting that Kunlun Mountains is well known for having a lot of magic arts.
