Teaching English is a great idea. z00se - I totally agree with you on the slave labour thing. The problem living in the west is that you need to work full time just to have the material goods necessary to survive.
I didn't think of learning/practising while living on my own abroad, it's a good idea. I think this is perhaps a better option than checking into a monastery. Does anyone have experience with particular locals, locations, or teachers?
