  3. KALI!!

Oh right Tom Kier kicked the shit out of one of these guys. His knee totally swelled up... it was crazy. Anyways, Tuhon Tom's not really my teacher, I just got to meet him once and this guy I was with trained with him and I got to stand and watch and he showed us a video which was hella impressive. And now some of the Dog Brothers train in Kali. I know Crafty Dog does... I forget their other dog names.

Oh yeah the reason I think it's just one problem is cos my problem spot moves. So I'll work on one area, and then it'll move to another, and then back, and on and on...

I know it's really obnoxious isn't it? I sware that it's just ONE problem though. My acupuncturist a long time ago concurred though he wasn't sure what organ it was, but told me to massage my hara every night. and I haven't been doing that.

The hara is the soft underbelly in animals, and in humans it's...what is it, 2 inches below the naval? My issues are with the sides of it, the right and left side but my actual belly is okay. I know it is around all different meridians but I have this feeling my issue is only with kidney, but I guess I'll work with it and see...
  7. Hara

thanks! so is the hara part of the kidney meridian?
  8. Hara

And I've got a bunch of really sharp knives.

Don't you need another person to do medicine balls? I guess I meant strengthening it energetically, too...

I ran into Chelsea a couple of times. She would speak with her hands around the sides of her mouth so only the person with her could hear her. My boyfriend at the time was studying in Oxford and was frustrated with all the extra security. Chelsea's boyfriend was this different guy than the one they said in the paper. I did meet a guy who she hit on when she was really drunk at this pub, though. Oh and she'd get in trouble for putting her feet on the tables in the library. Chelsea was protesting an anti-war meeting I was at. Her friends tried to heckle the speakers but it only got the crowd more riled up and got them all in the paper. They brought an American flag to hold up way in the front of the room and were asked to leave... She was good and polite though and bought every socialist paper that was offered to her. She made it a point to leave in the middle of the meeting. She's actually really pretty in real life. But as my friend in Oxford put it, "she wears daft shoes."

I studied in Oxford in '02 to '03, but not at the University. Just at the town. I have a couple Chelsea Clinton stories, too. (Nothing too good.) I was studying celtic shamanism with John Matthews and Mogg wouldn't let me proofread the Fries work because he said their was a conflict of interest. He's an interesting man. He gave me this free little booklet on mystical places of Oxford. He looks straight out of a Harry Potter movie...long sort of greasy hair, it's hard to explain. I remember he told me all kinds of things about the Matthews (Caitlin Matthews was cooler, I should've studied with her) that were sort of cryptic and didn't add up, and when I tried to verify them (which he HAD to know I was gonna do, since John was leading us through journeying we had to have trust established) he just kind of laughed, rolled his eyes, and said Mogg had a tendency to exaggerate. I said I had decided (based on other things) that Mogg was just a flat out liar, and he laughed a lot and said he was saying the same thing in British. I remember when Mogg pissed off one of the witches (a really well known witch with many books out but I forget her pen name) during an esbat ceremony becase he broke the circle, and I was the only one who would call him on it, and he said he didn't realize he was doing it. The other witches didn't believe him, but I did. He was that oblivious sometimes... He was running a weird group called the Black Cauldron or something like that. My Wicca teacher was attending regularly but I decided not to go. We would see each other once a week at the pagan pub moots at this lovely pub with five zillion different kinds of herbal wine. I am glad I got out of Wicca. Prayer is better anyway. You may not get what you want, but you always get what you need. Anyways, there's more, but that's probably all I'm gonna say publically.

Curling up my fingers and touching my thumb to index finger or thumb to middle finger is phenomenal especially when running... What else... not quite a mudra but crossing your arms across your chest like when you're pretending to be invisible in bad live action role playing games like Vampire really works to turn down the volume on yr chakras. also thumb nails to back of ring finger is good for invisibility. i've used it on city buses. and that's my $.02. probably less than that, even, maybe like a half a cent.

Have you met Jan Fries? Back when I was a witch in England I bought the book directly off of Mogg from Mandrake Publishing with money I made playing my guitar in the rain in Oxford on this commercial street that did not allow cars. I was playing anti-capitalist songs with my back pressed against this corporate jewelry shoppe. Oh, I miss the good life. Anyways, I have all kinds of stories about Mogg. Heh heh heh.
  14. Massages and Wood, is it normal?

At the Desert Institute of Healing Arts, they teach you that if a client smells bad, you are supposed to ask them if they mind if you wear a scented mask, and tell them you are "sensitive to smells," or some such bullshit. These ethics classes at DIHA always make me scratch my head.
  15. Massages and Wood, is it normal?

I have a friend who's a massage therapist and I called her when I was having this problem that I would fall in love with my massage therapist, but only for the duration of the massage. I was feeling really guilty because I enjoyed the massages more than, like, hooking up with my boyfriend. I realized it one morning when I kicked him out of bed cos I had to get ready for my massage... Anyways she said I was obviously just associating a relaxed state while lying naked between two sheets with these emotions which had nothing to do with the guy at all... Anyways we talked for a very long time about this issue and she told me that most guys get erections during massage, something about increased blood flow or something. She said it happens to about half the guys she works on and that it should go away shortly after and if it doesn't she knows they are entertaining thoughts. But she has only kicked one person out and that's because he started masturbating right on her massage table! Anyways, I wouldn't worry about it too much... I bet massage therapists are used to things like that...
  16. FINALLY!!

You look younger in every picture you post. Pretty soon you're gonna look like fourteen or something.
  17. Ok 2012 Mayan Prophecy Poll

A friend of mine who is a shaman in the Peruvian tradition says the world is not going to end, there is just going to be a physical and spiritual transformation, and th at it is about love. Nothing apocalyptic about it.
  18. revenge of the sith

I think Aniken's problem was that he couldn't really love unselfishly. He wanted to do things for Padmay that she didn't agree with. He was so clingy and trying to hold on when he should have just let go. Otoh, Yoda was a bit too Buddhist for me. Somehow I don't feel that detaching from everything you love is the answer...

  22. new sleep study

educated women sleep more, educated men sleep less what dis mean? http://www.elitestv.com/pub/2005/May/EEN4293963d5439e.html A new study conducted by researchers in Taiwan shows that women with more education get better sleep than women with little formal schooling. However, the opposite seems to apply to men. Those men who are less educated slept better and those with more educations have trouble sleeping at night. The researchers were unable to determine the reason for their findings. The results of the study, which was based on a study of 40,000 Taiwanese men and women over the age of 15, were published in the 'Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.' With regard to men, the study believed that those who worked longer hours and were in positions of higher authority generally had more trouble sleeping. Other groups more likely to suffer from insomnia include divorced and separated people of both sexes, older people and those who were poor or earned less. Women who were divorced or separated had the biggest problem with insomnia according to the study. It is believed the stress of single parenting and/or the stigma associated with the breakdown of their marriage could be possible reasons for these results. Having additional children in a household caused less sleep for both men and women and did not account for the sleep gap between the sexes. Students, those who get regular exercise and nonsmokers tended to sleep better while the unemployed who were searching for a job had the biggest difficulty sleeping well. The researchers concluded that more studies were necessary to determine why women generally had more problems sleeping than men. 'The sex discrepancy in insomnia narrowed slightly after taking social role factors into consideration but was not explained by socioeconomic status,' the authors wrote. 'The persistent sex gap in insomnia warrants further investigation.' Brad Kurtzberg

There have to be some Buddhists reading this who think they will make more money by giving everything they have away, so why not to us?
  24. Happy Birthday to YODAMAN!

Yeah, happy birthday! I wanted to make a Star Wars joke, but I'll restrain myself.
