  1. Z-health

I was just wondering if anybody has any experience with this? http://www.zhealth.net/ I know some Crossfitters are into it for body awareness, and since I'm not really doing yoga/qi gong/pilates/etc. with any degree of consistency anymore, I'm looking for something else other than my regular stretching. Also if anybody has a DVD I can borrow, I'd be appreciative.
  2. I read a post Michael Winn made a really long time ago that I can't find anymore and was wondering if anybody knows off the top of their head where it is. It was something about trying to stop the flow from yang to yin by STOPPING the process in extreme yin that was considered evil, or something like that. Thanks in advance! Lozen (not my real name)
  3. I don't want to sound like a groupie, but this article is fascinating: http://thefitcast.com/?p=82
  4. tea

So I've been reading Tea Here Now (thanks, sunshine!) and contemplating the drinking of tea as a spiritual practice. Meanwhile, I've been using this amazing tea thingy I got. It is made by Adagio, and it is called IngenuiTea. You put your tea and hot water in this plastic (polycarbonate) container and let it steep. Then when you are done, you put your container underneath the container and it all falls through somehow. Anyway, I decided to do an experiment, to taste test both teas and see which one is yummier. IngenuiTea won! What does it say about my spirituality that I prefer some kind of newfangled plastic thingy? The centrifugal force and built-in filter somehow makes a much stronger (but not bitter) cuppa tea. I am ashamed. http://www.adagio.com/teaware/ingenuiTEA_teapot.html I guess the only bad thing is that it is made of polybycarbonate, which I think might be toxic.
  5. ho shou wu

Okay, so Paul Bergner mentioned on the herb list a while ago that he had a client who used ho shou wu pills...she was in her 70s and did not have a single grey hair. While I don't have a huge problem with white hair yet, I do get one occassionally every week or so (though it's usually brown at the root), and I'd like to deal with it before I get all depressed about it and have to spend tons of money on my hair. I read that it was tonifying, which I need anyway, but was wondering if anybody has more info on it. I'll do some research too to make sure that it won't screw me up in some other way.
  6. Obviously the best way to kick ass in BJJ is to train BJJ. Barring that, what are your favorite drills, lifts, exercises etc. that transfer over the best to BJJ?

  11. Ramana's 40 Verses on Reality

    40. If it is said, that Liberation is of three kinds, with form or without form or with and without form, then let me tell you that the extinction of three forms of Liberation is the only true Liberation.
  12. Ramana's 40 Verses on Reality

We're so close to finishing; just waiting for people to comment on 39 before I post 40.
  13. Ramana's 40 Verses on Reality

    39. Only so long as one considers oneself bound, do thoughts of bondage and Liberation continue. When one enquires who is bound the Self is realized, eternally attained, and eternally free. When thought of bondage comes to an end, can thought of Liberation survive?

  21. tooth regeneration

We'll try the elixir with the Bronner's and if we hate it switch to the toothpaste.
  22. tooth regeneration

Karen, If I'm not thrilled of the idea of using Bronner's, would Uncle Harry's Miracle Alkaline Toothpaste with some tooth and gum elixir thrown in work?
  23. The 4 hour work week

I heard of that book from someone who told me he "doesn't do e-mail" so I can either cut-and-paste an attachment repeatedly until it gets through completely (without images) on the limited-character facebook, or I can send an e-mail to his assistant which he might eventually get. The effect this has on his business is that it has lost the human element. And (right or wrong) people are far more likely to forward, photocopy, etc. all of his material. So I guess if someone wants to be a corporation instead of a human being and not have any legitimate contact with the people funding this, it'd be a great idea.
  24. dance of shiva

Just wondering if anybody has trained in this or has Andrey Lappa's DVD; I am curious.
