    Mine too!
  2. I would like to buy some Thieves toothpaste and would rather buy it from a Bum.
  3. Wary about teachers

Other people probably have more/better info about Mantak Chia and your other teacher, but I say go with your gut. If he feels unbalanced to you, he probably is.
  4. Divine Love Poetry

Sappho: To Atthis Though in Sardis now, she thinks of us constantly and of the life we shared. She saw you as a goddess and above all your dancing gave her deep joy. Now she shines among Lydian women like the rose-fingered moon rising after sundown, erasing all stars around her, and pouring light equally across the salt sea and over densely flowered fields lucent under dew. Her light spreads on roses and tender thyme and the blooming honey-lotus. Often while she wanders she remembers you, gentle Atthis, and desire eats away at her heart for us to come. --Translated by Willis Barnstone Come back to me, Gongyla, here tonight, You, my rose, with your Lydian lyre. There hovers forever around you delight: A beauty desired. Even your garment plunders my eyes. I am enchanted: I who once Complained to the Cyprus-born goddess, Whom I now beseech Never to let this lose me grace But rather bring you back to me: Amongst all mortal women the one I most wish to see. --Translated by Paul Roche Top of page
  5. Is Landmark a Cult?

Just wondering if anybody here knows anything about it. One of my friends is "hooked" and obsessed with getting me to a workshop. He sounds like an evangelist all of a sudden, and of course will not reveal details of their secret training methods. I was hoping someone who has experienced could share their opinions--good, bad and other.

    Just found this: http://www.rickross.com/groups/landmark.ht...0and%20Articles
  7. Is Landmark a Cult?

I guess the buttons it pushes for me is this idea that someone outside of myself knows what is the best path for me and everybody else in the world. And I don't like being preached to or sold something.
  8. Witch's "Orgasmic Diet"

What Taomeow said!! I do also use olive oil to cook with, however. A good web page: http://www.beyondveg.com/
  9. Witch's "Orgasmic Diet"

    Orange juice is also dopaminergic.
  10. Then God said,

Vortex, I was giving the Jewish interpretation. And they were montheists. Sorry. Yi Tao, the claim that Jesus' death was one sacrifice for sin for all time is not supported by the Hebrew Scriptures. Also, in modern-day Judaism (nothing to do with Jesus) blood sacrifice isn't necessary. Repentant prayer will do. http://www.jewsforjudaism.org/web/faq/faq042.html I know this is a Taoist board, not a Jewish one, but just saying.
  11. Then God said,

God is male and female, God created a male/female being and then extracted the male from the female and thus they were separate beings. At least, that's the Jewish take on it.
  12. Knees

Here's a couple T-Nation articles: http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=475832 http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=1259323 http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=1109501 That website has about as much sex appeal as Andrew Dice Clay, but the articles are informative. And here's the foam roller I use: http://www.performbetter.com/catalog/matri...yofacialRelease http://www.performbetter.com/catalog/asset.../FoamRoller.pdf I would skip the uppder back work. And the ball I use: http://www.power-systems.com/locker/usage/...se_Ball_Rev.pdf

  18. The Tao of Pooh

    From the intro:
  19. Forging Unintelligence

"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent; it is the one that is most adaptable to change." - Charles Darwin
  20. the world in a drop of water

    Beautiful...
  21. The Tao of Pooh

Isn't it the Te of Piglet? I wanna read!
  22. The Tao of Pooh

Also the word was "confusionist," not "Confucianist." If you read the quote, it says, "the dried-up Western descendant of the Confucianist Dedicated Scholar." That would be called a play on words. Anyway, it's a lovely little book and I think you should read it before getting all offended by it.
  23. The Tao of Pooh

  24. mobility versus yoga/pilates
