When talking about buddhas in the Lotus Sutra, do not forget the many jeweled stupa and what comes with it... Then there arose a Stûpa, consisting of seven precious substances, from the place of the earth opposite the Lord, the assembly being in the middle, a Stûpa five hundred yoganas in height and proportionate in circumference. After its rising, the Stûpa, a meteoric phenomenon, stood in the sky sparkling, beautiful, nicely decorated with five thousand successive terraces of flowers, adorned with many thousands of arches, embellished by thousands of banners and triumphal streamers, hung with thousands of jewel-garlands and with hourplates and bells, and emitting the scent of Xanthochymus and sandal, which scent filled this whole world. Its row of umbrellas rose so far on high as to touch the abodes of the four guardians of the horizon and the gods. It consisted of seven precious substances, viz. gold, silver, lapis lazuli, Musâragalva, emerald, red coral, and Karketana-stone. This Stûpa of precious substances once formed, the gods of paradise strewed and covered it with Mandârava and great Mandâra flowers. And from that Stûpa of precious substances there issued this voice: Excellent, excellent, Lord Sâkyamuni! thou hast well expounded this Dharmaparyâya of the Lotus of the True Law. So it is, Lord; so it is, Sugata. At the sight of that great Stûpa of precious substances, that meteoric phenomenon in the sky, the four classes of hearers were filled with gladness delight, satisfaction and joy. Instantly they rose from their seats, stretched out their joined hands, and remained standing in that position. Then the Bodhisattva Mahâsattva Mahâpratibhâna, perceiving the world, including gods, men, and demons, filled with curiosity, said to the Lord: O Lord, what is the cause, what is the reason of so magnificent a Stûpa of precious substances appearing in the world? Who is it, O Lord, who causes that sound to go out from the magnificent Stûpa of precious substances? Thus asked, the Lord spake to Mahapratibhâna, the Bodhisattva Mahâsattva, as follows: In this great Stûpa of precious substances, Mahâpratibh'ana, the proper body of the Tathâgata is contained condensed; his is the Stûpa; it is he who causes this sound to go out. -Lotus Sutra

Relates to an uncarved block of wood. In this case it means the same as "formless". The previous stage in the chapter is being the "valley of the universe", which is being the lowest point or the edge of all form (universe). Beyond that would be "beyond form" (or uncharted). Which is also that which cannot be named (Tao).

The "uncarved block" and it's broader meaning is a critical aspect of the description of progression in chapter 28 of the TTC. It is something that happens when one is the "valley of the universe".

That is actually you simply focusing on me now as you have read the posts. Can feel you (and your wife downstream) pretty strongly. Let me know if you want me to directly stop by.

Her "range" is greater than yours. So something she could "see" would be deeper and subconscious for you. That subconscious resistance could cause pain. Kind of like an energy overload. If you ever want to try an experiment around this with her watching, just let me know. Could help you expand the "energy flow" that you can handle without the pain. Some of it simply be that your "conscious mind" needs to understand/accept what your "subconscious" is feeling and trying to translate.

Can feel her even through your connection to her now. She probably already knows this (with the flashlight comment), but she is a natural and pretty strong transmitter. So what she is doing is more like sending out a sonar pulse and getter the reflection (rather than just getting stuff). Can see how the two of you would make a really good partnership. Do a lot of these attacks happen when she is around? Also, separately, can you sort of feel like a constant background connection to her?

I also find it very interesting, and cool that your wife can see such things. Does it happen very often? I have also been energetically attacked many times. Initially, I tried shielding techniques similar to what you described, but ultimately found that they were not effective for me. Sort of like, if you build a wall, there is always someone bigger to crack it. I know tend to directly face and engage instead of trying to shield in some way.

Actually, if you read the Gospel of Thomas, I think you will not find much to disagree with the Tao Te Ching.

Much easier with the teachings of Jesus.

That could be challenging with the Abrahamic God. I was taking about the “truth” that Jesus brought, not the old stuff from Moses.

It is not really so different if you take a look at these words from the Gospel of Thomas... 50. Jesus said, "If they say to you, 'Where have you come from?' say to them, 'We have come from the light, from the place where the light came into being by itself, established [itself], and appeared in their image.' If they say to you, 'Is it you?' say, 'We are its children, and we are the chosen of the living Father.' If they ask you, 'What is the evidence of your Father in you?' say to them, 'It is motion and rest.'" The place where the light came into being by itself and established by itself, is the same as the One emerging from the Dao.

Ajna is about perceiving. It is translating the energy into your (local) mind into things you can see or hear. Maybe think of it like a sonar system, the throat is the outbound transmission pulse, and the ajna is the reflection coming back and translating. Many of what people call 3rd eye stuff is really a combination of aspects of chakras 4-7.

Stuff like that comes from a very developed 5th (throat) chakra. Basically, a powerful transmission/communication that one projects on to others. You find many powerful leaders have it naturally. Kind of a “reality distortion field” that military commanders would use to motivate and lead soldiers into battle. Business leaders like Steve Jobs had a similar kind of capability.

The "why of it" is because there is a new basis, or you could say a new "valley of the universe". And if you read the TTC, you see this leads to some very interesting stuff.

Sure, and I have an older thread about it in my personal section. But, basically there was a major shift (or world turning), and with that change the overall "energy structure" was changed. Think of it like there is a new and upgraded electrical grid. Many of the people who were on the old system did not make the shift. You could also sort of describe it as some older lineages (and the energy that flowed with them) are no longer active and valid. Also, the ones that switched have vastly greater potential. I have described this in the past as divine realms or beings being more accessible. It is very wide spread, though many don't really notice it. For many in the past, their energy would make them feel spacey or feel/see stuff in some way as it was pushing them at the edges of their consciousness. With the loss of it, there is not the spacey vibrancy, and so they feel "more themselves" or quieter. The ego/mind then likes to think of it as being more clear or empty, when really it is simply the loss what was pushing them at the edge in the first place. Additionally, some spirit beings that may have been a source of power/energy in some traditions/lineages no longer have any juice. So it is really that you have way more energy flow then before, or you have way less.

There are basically 3 ways for energy to be felt (or transferred) with something like a video (or picture). In increasing rarity they are... 1) Rather than an actual transfer of energy, the video or pic helps induce taking the person deeper into their own mind, or like a quiet reflective “space”. In that space the mind quiets, and some will feel/notice that as some sort of energy flow or vibration. The stimuli that will effect people will be different. But maybe think of it as the video creating an “ahhh...” moment where you feel your own energy movement and then attach the feeling to the video/image. 2) The person them-self in the video is energetically very strong, and in watching the video one subconsciously “connects” to the person in the broader universal conscious rather than through the video itself. It is more like the image is a mental reference in making the connection, and through that connection one feels the energy flow. This is similar to having a picture of one’s teacher/master and connecting by focusing on the picture. 3) Someone actually imbues their energy in the video (or picture) itself. The playing of the video has a connection to the person that originally attached the energy to it. Then the video contains and transfers the energy directly. Some masters will do this as part of their method of teaching remotely. If you search some of the old threads, you can find where this was done with some pictures as experiments here at the bums. Also, there were some experiments where this was done with web pages (working like an elevator to higher levels of consciousness). Hope you find this helpful.

Responded just means that we "liked" your posts, I know it can be confusing as compared to this one where I "quoted" your post.

Things like a 3rd eye need a stable and pretty base, otherwise one will translate the outside energy stuff based upon your fears, rather than more clear understanding/knowing.

Very cool stuff. Yes, I realize that it was not your fingers and actually your forehead tingling. The energy is follows your attention/focus. You may even want to try some body scanning techniques and move that "tingling" all over your body. When you find resistance (or more dead like spots), it will highlight karma/issues stored in your energy body. The next stage is being able to move (transmit) that energy beyond your own body to other people or your broader environment. The opening of the 3rd eye is after that, as it is really more about your mind being able to "translate" that energy beyond the body into more direct insights (or seeing/hearing stuff).

Welcome. Making the tingling happen like that is a sign of your heart being open (not 3rd eye) and the beginning of energy stuff at a more conscious level. 30 is young. No worries.

The true light is “clear” and not something you really see. It is more a “knowing”. As an example, if you see “auras” you are not really seeing them, but more your mind is translating the underlying deep knowing into something your mind can understand. With clear light you would just know and not translate it into colors or something.

What about yours?

Those are still concepts of the mind. Maybe try just residing and let it all go...

Guess it depends on how one defines the void. But, either way increasing clarity (or the absence of stuff - void like) is a good thing.
