  1. The Genius of our Imagination

Haha, I once thought about what I would think about if I was smarter . . .
  2. Scientific Approach to Practice

I think this is more in regards to "pre-heavenly" or "celestial" chi. (like the entire body bliss thing shakti describes) I think that because it feels to begin in the brain. Sometimes the energy or sensation never even leaves the brain. Obviously this is from my subjective observations that are being used to formulate the hypothesis, but the scientific correlations coincide with the locations as described in internal alchemy. Like how the pituitary gland is marked on the MCO diagram as well for instance. It is part of the MCO process and marked as the seat of the soul: This is a hypothesis that is testable and can be disproven. (as any good hypothesis should be able to be tested and disproven which is why it is tentative.) The thymus is used and marked as rejuvenation center, and becoming aware and utilizing this could simply be educating T-cells. Which do help the immune system and would provide evidence for being healthier, aside from "qi": This hypothesis also has within it the ability to be tested and disproven.
  3. Need serious help please, kundalini problems

Thanks for posting the stuff about Dr. Glenn Morris, I think along the same lines, because within that premise is the motivation to uncover the truth of this phenomena. Belief aside. Until you have actual objective evidence of connections and or transference, I would keep it to yourself in this regard, considering you do tend to agree with the doctor. It is only belief and superstitions being presented in that regard imho. Who convinced you or told you there are these super-powers anyways? Is it someone you payed a bunch of money to? . . . I think there is a world of differences between acknowledging that you think you might have some mystical powers and claiming that you actually do. There is a world a difference between thinking you have mystical powers and actually having mystical powers.
  4. Desire for diffrent reality

What makes one with metta and good devils advocate, is that they aren't offended by other's words or insults, imo. They can stay the course rather then getting bogged down in the children's game of ego. You can represent the stance and perspective of love all day if you choose, but I think it is selfish and does most good only for you. Then I'm still stuck playing the devils advocate, how about some love for that guy? There are many delusions that must be cut through for one to find truth. Change perspectives, that is the key IMO, that is why you are not separate, because you have the ability for all perspectives. Choose a perspective opposite of what is being presented to play for real all the while still feeling love at the core. Have you ever tried to wrestle a belief from someone? It is not pretty. If They don't have metta, then just telling them to use it does no good, because they don't know what that even is yet. There is too many beliefs surrounding love to begin with with, which the beliefs must be cut out to reveal its true form. I think it is a beautiful thing for one to be able to look back upon their ignorance. For without eliminating a belief there would be nothing to look back upon because it continues to be believed. Then it is likely more beliefs have just compiled around it. Many people build their entire being around belief stacked upon belief. I don't think there is anything that you can say love really is. What it is not is what is important imo. It is not something to think.
  5. Desire for diffrent reality

I disagree, fullness of love includes playing the devil's advocate when necessary. I'll make myself look like an ass to get a point across, I don't have some image to uphold or worry about someones feelings as far as truth is concerned. Sure, everyone wants to play the nice guy, but I don't think that does much to get the point across in all situations. If I think you are delusional, then I'm likely to tell it to your face. That is because deep down I love you, and I think a zen slap can go a long ways.
  6. Scientific Approach to Practice

The chi I'm talking about is not some subtle EMF. It leaves visible signs, such as goosebumps and the hairs on my body stand up on end, like the entire body is electrically charged. It seems like something that should be measurable as it is not subtle and has actual physical evidence of the occurrence. It is controllable and comes in waves from the brain to travel seemingly the entire nervous system in waves or steady flow with practice. I am wondering if anyone else has visible evidence such as this when they are channeling chi? I have been narrowing this down to the pituitary gland as a likely culprit considering: And more particularly: The hypothesis is that one can become aware of this gland through meditation and learn to use it manually.
  7. What are they warning eachother to do? Run away?
  8. The Dao is open?

Yah, I like there isn't a bunch of censoring here. Sometimes mod need to step in to keep thing from get too personal and spare feelings, but they try to intervene before it comes to anything becomes too personal fme. Free to talk about your idea and experience, and others free to comment in a respectful manner even if our views don't necessarily coincide with mods or admin
  9. Scientific Approach to Practice

The topic isn't about qi-qong approach to science, its about scientific approach to qi-qong if I'm not mistaken. Scientific method is pretty standard across the board, whatever field you are researching. The exceptions are like some instances in cosmology in which it is not seemingly possible to replicate and account for every single variable in a controlled and labratory environment. But I don't see how that would be the case with transferring qi to heal someone or something. One of the problematic things that I see would be eliminated is the subjects subjectivity, making for a much better experiment imo. I'm pretty sure that Science likes objective evidence, not objective evidence relying on individuals subjective interpretations. Cold hard facts, something that is pretty much impossible to manipulate or to introduce uncontrolled variables that could effect the outcome of the experiment in any way.
  10. Scientific Approach to Practice

So are you done tearing me down and have you found anything of substance to offer the thread in regards to a scientific approach to this phenomena? Or should I just expect a continuance of this outlandish behavior and not bother to read what you are posting? You can say what you want about me, it has nothing to do with the argument at hand . . . . What would be a more "fair test" if you will ? IMO all you have done is revealed a bias as to the motivation for reason to believe in chi. (profit) You can say no, no, no, all you want too as well, but are yet to provide any alternative or reason.
  11. Scientific Approach to Practice

Yes, but he is keeping it to himself, so what is the point? I'm sharing what I learned freely, I don't care about anyones credentials, your all the same in my eyes. If you have a legitiment argument or proposition, you could be a bum living on the beaches and I would still consider it equally to that of a doctor. If it doesn't seem to be true then it is simply discarded, regardless who said it. What have you really proposed other then attacking my credentials? My credentials are not the idea of the thread. Back on topic please . . . I told you my experience as a treaty, not something for you to use against me as ammunition or to brag. Although maybe I deserve it, and were I more sensitive to lesser feelings it might bother me, but it doesn't in the least. It does bring about a sense of compassion for the victim of a way back when, I was on the firing end. How ignorant I was then. May you too one day learn of a time of ignorance. I don't use credentials to determine validity of an argument as explained by the quote from Bertrand Russel, which I think goes a long way in keeping an open mind. If my assumptions are wrong then please do show the better way, they are not fixed or set in stone by any means.
  12. Scientific Approach to Practice

It is only about what a "fair experiment" entails, you can throw out as many red herrings as u like, it doesn't change the facts. Your argument should be directed towards the argument, not at me or my persons. Back to the premise whenever you are ready. My experience involves actually practicing research science which includes understanding what is a fair test objectively. Which includes eliminating every possible independent variable other then is being tested. Do you have a better proposition or only complaints of this one?
  13. Scientific Approach to Practice

Is your argument then that chi only works for pain? Yet it has been claimed to "heal", so then "heal" something with transferring you chi to it, and show the results vs not transferring chi to it. Otherwise its just another fairy tale like Santa Clause or the Tooth Fairy. Even if you did get results from that experiment, it still doesn't mean that there is "chi" that is the cause. I think it would be much easier to replicate a standardized experiment if it was done on something that can be controlled as easily as mice. Ask your doctor friends. I don't see your purpose in posting if you don't have anything of value to add, other than bragging about your unsubstantiated credientials. Being in pharmaceuticals does not imply research science imo. Maybe you can suggest a better "fair test" as evidence you know what you are talking about. You could work as an aid behind the counter at Wallgreens for 23 years and claim u have been in "pharmaceuticals" for that period. Which in that case, it would be an appeal to misleading authority. I know this because my Aunt works in a pharmacy and doesn't have any degree in science. I could understand how you would be afraid that your beliefs could be at risk if there are no results, but atleast u would be a little bit closer to the truth.
  14. Scientific Approach to Practice

Where did I say that? This is an obvious straw man fallacy in which you built the entire fallacious argument proceeding that. Here is a clue for you: The argument is, there isn't any evidence directly been presented for "chi" and accepted. Chi is only a hypothesis. (this is a dunce stamp in philosophy)
  15. That's not the chi I mean, it's like an endorphine release or something comes from the brain and crown area and travels through the entire energy body/nervous system.
  16. If we are allowed to speculate, I think many people could be noticing their blood flowing in their veins and calling it chi. Like you you intentionally hyper-ventalite (which increases oxygen in your blood), you start to feel more chi? Here is very good article imo in this regard:
  17. Need serious help please, kundalini problems

I'm curious who taught you to vibrate? I found it 13 years ago, and have never heard anyone speak of it before. Yes it led to much more, including increased chi flows. (When I first heard of shaking I found it worthless in comparison) As far as I know this is the first time this sort of vibrating has been brought up in regards to practice, here or anywhere else. If you learn exclusively from instructors and masters, which one showed you and where is it written?
  18. Turning Invisible

    Open minded is another
  19. Preventative measures. There are so many different things that can grow in small intestine to harm you I don't want to name them all
  20. One of the previous articles explains how, I edited it if you go back to look. Here is evidence for clearing stagnation as benifit, which is: Anaerobic means: Therefore buy flushing small intestines with oxygen you can reduce bacterial growth in the small intestines, some of which could cause health problems.
  21. Now you can ask "what is the benefit of abdominal breathing". Much simpler imo.
