  1. Auditory hallucinations

Where do you live at? Do you have any neighbors that could be playing music or watching TV? Unless you live in a house in the middle of nowhere, that preceding sentence seems to be the most logical explanation. I would agree to not go to the doctor for it, if it really doesn't affect you, otherwise you will get prescribes some hardcore drugs and not be able to meditate at all because they are powerful drugs. (Just ignore it) It is likely "Self" playing tricks (imo). if you can't ignore it and it start effecting your actions then see a doctor.
  2. My journey began with Christianity. Growing up in the bible belt does not leave one with many alternative options, as a child, I was indoctrinated into it. It didn't take me long to realize the inconsistencies inherent within the teachings, as they are many. I left religion all together when I realized the scope of it all, and the division cause and condoned by the many religions, each seemingly to say their way is the only way. I refused to believe that a benevolent god would only make one way to discover that which we are, and that without that way we are doomed to eternal reincarnation or hell or whatever fear mongering appeal to fear is being used. By chance I met a guy while I was in Job Corps who had a book and within the book was a meditation technique to awaken the supposed "3rd eye". I was extremely skeptical about most of the book, some of it was logical to me and made sense while the majority of it seemed ad-hoc'd. I decided to try the meditation technique anyway and found that there was truth, and I could feel the third eye. From that point on I have been attempting to unravel the mystery in an unbiased manner. It has even led me to biology, because considering all the independent lines of subjective evidence pointing at the same things, I am under the impression that there is a biological process that can be identified to bring this subjectivity into the objective realm. This searching has led me to the sub-atomic quantum level, which is considered an aspect of the universe. Our minds work on the quantum level, it is what differentiates our awareness from that of a rabbit or squirrel, allows us to see the mechanization and determinism surrounding us, yet we are not governed by it, as we have choice. It was a long time before I realized there was more to spirituality than awakening of the third eye, for years and years I had an awakened third eye and no knowledge of the next steps. I was basically off the path, until I found people on message boards talking about the same things, I decided to continue pursuit and seek understanding of these other phenomena being described since ancient times. I found truth in many paths and never adhered to any one path. I think that is why I can now see the correlations and pointers being the same amongst many differing practices, and objectively so.
  3. Do You Have A Hidden Agenda ?

You must really really misunderstand Descartes and his work. He gave logical evidence to subjective reality with 3 simple words. Lao Tzu was a philosopher, as was Buddha and Jesus, and before them was Socrates, Aristotle, and Plato. Most of what you type is philosophy or history. Buddhism is philosophy for the most part. (imo)
  4. YIN YANG and the TEN THOUSAND THINGS

Yin and yang just represent opposites, so to say one is yin and the other is yang is pointless, imo. It says for everything there is an opposite.
  5. Do You Have A Hidden Agenda ?

If you want more of a philosophical challenge you should try at the shroomery in the philosophy section: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/11 Or in the spirituality section: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/82 It's a cool site, they let you upload pictures to share.
  6. internal alchemy

inner smile/metta is also used in communication with nature, and sending out positive vibes.
  7. internal alchemy

Internal alchemy as described by taoism comes after awakening. (ime) Internal Alchemy begins with practice of metta (ime). Some skip it and goto Solar plexus, but that is ill-advised. Metta is like inner-smile and used to healing and rejuvenation. Awakening means that you can feel and pinpoint a tingling sensation within the center of your forehead or the "seat of the soul" , "original cavity of the spirit", "third eye", pineal gland.
  8. Do You Have A Hidden Agenda ?

The agenda is clear to me. Nothing hidden. The site's scheme is marketing, yet in the greater good, truth is shared for free.
  9. Internal Spinning

By celestial chi, I mean can you make the hair on your arms stand up sort of like a cat while you can feel energy coursing through every vein?
  10. Internal Spinning

The rationale that it was before most religions is because of the "Library of Alexandria" had compiled much work from various places in the world which people could go to read and/or steal/take it back to their people. Once they got back to their people they had to translate it and make it acceptable to the people so that understanding could be derived from the original texts. So they are not the original source in and of themselves, non of them are, because the original source was destroyed when the Library of Alexandria was burned.
  11. Padmasambhava

I personally find mantra to be worthless. I don't use it at all and you may realize that there has been many realizations without them. I think mantra is just pointers, nothing magic about the words. Like songs are generally pointing at specific frequencies of sound, while the words attempt to describe the unscribable.
  12. Internal Spinning

I was talking about this before with others, although non shared the experience, one thought it was describing the merkaba, which I think was described in ancient egypt before the rest of the religion took hold, and derived teaching from it, just a guess though.
  13. Internal Spinning

Possibly our mechanism for astral travel. Do you get celestial chi at will? I'm not sure about the term rainbow bridge, what does it mean or is said to be? I do think logic/creativity are opposites, yin/yang, but which is which I don't know. IE creativity is not logical and logic is not creative, yet we seem to be both anyway.

I think it is recognition of free awareness and the pineal gland exhibiting a circadian rhythm. "The primary circadian "clock" in mammals is located in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (or nuclei) (SCN), a pair of distinct groups of cells located in the hypothalamus. Destruction of the SCN results in the complete absence of a regular sleep–wake rhythm. The SCN receives information about illumination through the eyes. The retina of the eye contains "classical" photoreceptors ("rods" and "cones"), which are used for conventional vision. But the retina also contains specialized ganglion cells which are directly photosensitive, and project directly to the SCN where they help in the entrainment of this master circadian clock. These cells contain the photopigment melanopsin and their signals follow a pathway called the retinohypothalamic tract, leading to the SCN. If cells from the SCN are removed and cultured, they maintain their own rhythm in the absence of external cues. The SCN takes the information on the lengths of the day and night from the retina, interprets it, and passes it on to the pineal gland, a tiny structure shaped like a pine cone and located on the epithalamus. In response, the pineal secretes the hormone melatonin. Secretion of melatonin peaks at night and ebbs during the day and its presence provides information about night-length. Several studies have indicated that pineal melatonin feeds back on SCN rhythmicity to modulate circadian patterns of activity and other processes. However, the nature and system-level significance of this feedback are unknown. The circadian rhythms of humans can be entrained to slightly shorter and longer periods than the Earth's 24 hours. Researchers at Harvard have recently shown that human subjects can at least be entrained to a 23.5-hour cycle and a 24.65-hour cycle (the latter being the natural solar day-night cycle on the planet Mars).[26]" It seems like if awareness is completely somewhere else then it doesn't happen. But if you multi-task heart and pineal it is still noticeable imo. Ad a bit of fire and you seem to spin faster . . .

Samething to me, do you notice you go clockwise for half a rotation and then counter clockwise>? It's like space is moving around you yet you aren't moving, but it feels like your moving.
  16. the lights go out

I have noticed that too, and so have many others. I have chalked it up to coincidence until I find any evidence to the contrary. Those lights are not overly reliable. I think we just happen to notice the particular instance more than the common instances when it doesn't occur. Which i would guess it happens waaaaaaaaaaaay less in comparison to all the lights you are around then what you think or notice even.
  17. Consider Virtual Particles . . . "In physics, a virtual particle is a particle that exists for a limited time and space. The energy and momentum of a virtual particle are uncertain according to the uncertainty principle. The degree of uncertainty of each is inversely proportional to time duration (for energy) or to position span (for momentum). Virtual particles exhibit some of the phenomena that real particles do, such as obedience to the conservation laws. If a single particle is detected, then the consequences of its existence are prolonged to such a degree that it cannot be virtual. Virtual particles are viewed as the quanta that describe fields of the basic force interactions, which cannot be described in terms of real particles. Examples of these are static force fields, such as a simple electric or magnetic field, or the components of any field that do not carry information from place to place at the speed of light (information radiated by means of a field must be composed of real particles). Virtual photons are also a major component of antenna near field phenomena and induction fields, which have shorter-range effects, and do not radiate through space with the same range-properties as do electromagnetic wave photons. For example, the energy carried from one winding of a transformer to another, or to and from a patient in an MRI scanner, in quantum terms is carried by virtual photons, not real photons.[1]" I think virtual particles would make it not impossible.
  18. Favorite Quotes from Buddha.

I figured it must have been impure because he was talking about purity and degrees of it.
  19. "Berasith bara elohim"

Why does every religion seemingly have a creation story saying that we were created by something? It seem like they all have that in common as well as teaching love, although it is sometimes misconstrued, but I can see that the intention was there regardless of how distorted it has become over the millenia.
  20. "Berasith bara elohim"

    Wow Vmarco, very nice correlation!
  21. Favorite Quotes from Buddha.

I think trans must be wrong at a point. "The Buddha said, "Sariputra, this buddha-field is always thus pure, but the Tathagata makes it appear to be spoiled by many faults, in order to bring about the maturity of the inferior impure living beings. For example, Sariputra, the gods of the Trayastrimsa heaven all take their food from a single precious vessel, yet the nectar which nourishes each one differs according to the differences of the merits each has accumulated. Just so, Sariputra, living beings born in the same buddha-field see the splendor of the virtues of the buddha-fields of the Buddhas according to their own degrees of purity." " I would cross out everything malevolent or violent, because it is likely distorted interpretations vying for power stemming from greed.
  22. Shrinkage Theory of Everything.

Gravity is still incomplete until the illusive force particle is discovered! You gave me an idea that the dark energy could be the subspace, or the gray area (cushion) separating matter from anti-matter? Inverse2
  23. Yes I know, you think it is a weak analogy, and I don't see how it is. If one is missing that point then they are likely missing much more anyways, imo.
