  1. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Hi Julian, at the beginning, for some people, forearm hairs feel like loaded with static electric, when raising them as in Monk Gazing at the Moon, somebody else I forgot who also mentioned it on this forum, but the effect was not permanent in my case. Arms and hands circulate the energy, so they seem to get charged initially.

Thank you BP for the link. It might be of use to somebody, but I am in the process of sorting and privelaging my own experiences, I have a weak memory of such a spiritual encounter which lasted like a second, so I cannot comment on this constructively. The reason I posted elementals entry is because the format of FPCK meditations is similar to praying. Also the energy manifests seems to be a flame of specific potential and feels intelligent. I was wondering if any one else had similar experience. I also wrote a very detailed post about it, but my tablet refused to post it by freezing, so I gave up commenting on this subject any more for now :-)

Can it be that we are invoking some positive elementals by breathing in a certain way at first and then energizing them by their corresponding forms ?
  4. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

With closed eyes, we actually open them to inside. It is much easier to work with something we can look at.
  5. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

    It works, don't give up.
  6. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Hi Jeff, welcome to the forum. All exercises except Monk gazing at the moon are made with eyes closed.
  7. The extremes unite, when you do so sincerely, it becomes meditation and effort :-) Sincerety is awareness. Has to be included in this formula.
  8. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Hi Julian, I am on my own, studying MSW series, BTB, and the long form of FPCK as well as some other still and moving meditations all involving hand mudras. All meditations are said to be passing through Jhanic states of the Dreaming Land, but the road does not end there, and you might want to move on. To pass beyond the mind machine, you need to observe, respect and understand, but not cling on, pursue or be afraid of any extra sensual stuff. Any practice can be a meditation, and FPCK is helpful to me as its flames do mend the cracks in the mind stuff as well as physical frame. Wish you the best on your practicing.

Hi Julian, I had similar experience posted at: http://thedaobums.com/topic/12639-flying-phoenix-chi-kung/page-200#entry604088 which is still going on, and as time matured, they started bringing certain visual forms and feelings, which are awesomely beautiful (and can also be a great sidetrack) I am not sure they are specific to FPCK as you are the only person other than me on this forum mentioning them. But these sounds are apparently tied to hallucinating stuff in my experience, which is documented to be DMT molecules, so if it is not tinnitus, you might be on early stages of activating your pineal gland, congratulations.

18 repetitions of bending the bows takes an average of half an hour for me, therefore I wrote 30 minutes. Time does not matter though, as long as you do the exercises and repetitions correctly with proper breathing sequence.
  11. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Dear Astral Butterfly, Looks like you are living through your horse years :-) Bending the Bows provides real "horse power" for your assistance during the day, and can be a valuable investment against fatigue. I am saying investment, because it takes some time to fully manifest. Just sparing 30 minutes in each morning, and doing it diligently for at least a couple of months will start to bring a radiant, light and powerful physical structure. The initial discomforts come due to incorrect posture, but pain is a good teacher and will help you find the correct posture, and also you will have the FPCK energy as your guide from the start. Just persevere, and try to be as light, relaxed and alert during the exercise, and do it every day if possible. You might not need any other meditation for some time. I wish you the very best, and good luck.

If there is no afterlife, and you get "fixed" and understand your real nature so easy and quick, it is wonderful of course. You can live a very fulfilled life investing so little of your time. But if life goes on after this, I doubt that there will be any memory of it left in future episodes without doing real personal clean up with meditation. Yogic technologies provide the fuel to get in touch with these high created realms like Oneness or Flying Phoenix, and it is very practical-and awesome for doing some "work" in the mundane world by the provided siddhis. Unless you are wise and powerful enough to fix or understand the life machine, which seems to be only possible by applying your powers to gain wisdom and karma clean up, falling from heavens is inevitable. Higher manifestations are still within the life machine, and it is a giant and festive step to be able to reach there of course, but kung fu must go on for the transformation.

I am not on the martial or healing aspect, but on the meditation side of the exercises. Speaking of grumbling noise, I also happen to catch a very low pitch, deep bass "mmmmmmmmmmmm" which originates generally at the lower back of my skull and also vibrates my heart and the tailbone area. Another "side effect" include the natural stopping of the breath during the meditations which is pushing me to figure out the mechanics and -one day hopefully- the mastery of embryonic breathing. During the pauses, I am getting the hang of seeing and staying in "the light" which is written to be related to Dhyanic states, and so far improving. (did not arrive at the external Blue light yet. Inner lights dazzle mostly in yellow, orange, and some purple and white) Another freaking "side effect" is sometimes the emergence of a different child like character that is taking over the regular me and doing the movements. Greetings to all.

Dear Sifu Terry, I am doing mostly sitting meds, one still(mudra with % breath) and one moving (Advanced MSW last one) consecutively, at least 3 sets in a row. During the meds, closed eyes mode turn into something like an overclocked processor with the boost of FPCK flame. "The Watcher" with an extreme patience and respect, waits for my naive ego to form sentences out of feelings and synthesize cognition at the speed of a dead old dinosaur. Sense of time/ pace of life is dependent upon my remembering, ie recognizing the feeling, pulling out words, forming a sentence, and looking at my creation when my eyes are closed (maybe also when they are open). That relative very slow unefficient speed is the pace of my ordinary life/ my time. During the meds, many times The Watcher sees through an hour of the meditation(from beginning to end) in an instant, then I lose it again. It is able to command time, but unwilling to record it for my ego to pull it out yet... When one masters FPCK, I am sure he/she will also master the time. Thanks a lot again for initiating us into this wonderful art. Happy practicing to everyone, Cihan
  15. Aum current

Aum comes as a very physical vibration between my heart center and lower back skull, which intensifies when i lay down. It is a very low pitch Mmmmmmm, blueish and very dissolving. I don't intend to pursue it but would like to learn more if there is any practical info other than religious and new age stuff. I don't do any mantra meditation, it came unexpected. Help is very much appreciated, thanks.
  16. It does make a diff. In wind position (behind the teeth) conception and governing channels are merged to boost chi of external organs.(also says Dr. Yang Ywing-Ming) In water pos (on the soft palate) the central channel (Chong mai) is boosted. (Says Sifu Chris Matsuo) You can see the difference by doing a moving meditation and then a still meditation with the tongue on each alternate position, then compare the outcome. It is not that hard. Fire position (on the hard palate) I don't have much to say.
  17. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

About the tongue position: I've been doing the meditations with my tongue touching the roof of mouth, with curved tip just on the beginning of the soft plate, that was my understanding of "roof of mouth". But recently realized that other two positions, one at the back of front upper teeth, the other on the hard plate, are also known and talked as roof of the mouth. Yesterday, I tried two meds with tongue behind the front upper teeth for the first time, and the effects are radically different. Can anybody comment on the correct position of the tongue tip? I failed to find it on the forum. Thanks, Cihan

Uhm. Never mind. Figured it out. Best to you all :-)
  19. Authentic Kuji-in

Sifu Chris Matsuo has at least two recorded workshops on practical applications of kuji hand seals. They may not be on display for sale, but you can request them by contacting him. This may not be what you exactly requested though, but his teachings are excellent and practicable.
  20. What happens if we die?

Intellect seems to me the configuration to process streaming data, and prediction of a future event is the pulling out and processing of previous recordings, and record the conclusion :-) Well, death seems to be the end of streaming data which can be recognized by our physical config. We kind of leave the zone of physical knowing and its interpretation tools. There also seems to be a "being mode" which owns physical knowing mode, out of the coordinate system, and feels more real, if not another illusion. Staying in this being mode gives some comfort as well as tremendous positive emotions, which might give a clue of what is there after we hit the ground.
  21. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Dear Sifu Terry, Thank you very much for your time and encouragement. I am over the need for any outside confirmation, I know FPCK works, and am looking forward to a time when I have some more proficiency on this light. Best, Cihan

Hi Pitisuka My take : Vocabulary is used for mental imaging, and it is a very sequential process, exactly like reading, telling or creating a story. You depend on the process of intellectualization, using reasoning (judgement, presumptions, etc.) of the incoming vocabulary stream to force create a show. This show may or may not bring your sensual and emotional memories, but when you hit on that, the phase has a chance to shift.. Discover and follow the trail of the memory of 5 senses and emotions, and you enter into realm of all the sensual data out there, a very bright location, where each one you pull out turn into awesome dazzling images by themselves and become alive, bringing lots of joy and happiness, (or horrors depending on what you pull out) unlike mental imaging. This is visualization, happens by itself, once the head is finally over the babbling clouds of intellect. Best Cihan
  23. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

For some time, I've been doing some of the forms by visualisation when lying down when i do not feel very energetic and do not want to force myself, and their effects are very attracting to me. As well as some classic sitting mudras, so far, i tried (with corresponding breaths): Tweaking of the arms, Advanced sitting med nr 5 Bending the bows Successfully doing all the repetitions to the end without falling asleep, with awesome light effects. And nowadays the long form, but it is in progress, and each form of it is by itself a deep meditation tool. I am still doing them physically of course. I am not recommending anything, this is just a report of my experiences. Any one else tried them as such? Best of everything Cihan

Lol i have lost mine to a friend who never practiced it, but like you, i have been practicing the long form consistently for over 3 years now. About the tinnitus : I've been hearing various inner sounds for a while, learned that not all inner sounds are tinnitus. As they are 100% subjective, only you can discriminate them. Of the various sounds, if one has a big bell chime like quality, that is definitely not tinnitus. That is the sacred current of nada yoga whose lower octaves pulls you into not "om" but "ong" which is said to be the frequency of the causal plane. If you can produce the note of an another bell like current and find it corresponds to a certain note in music scale, it is related to one of your chakras. Mine is note A, documented to be related to the brow chakra. These sounds are very pleasant, and pull me in after I overcame the fear by some research and experimentation, as they can be quite loud sometimes. Another cathegory of sounds consists of the sounds coming from my energetic configuration, like birds or cicadas chirping, wind blowing over trees in a forest, the piper( of the song "stairway to heaven" by Led Zeppelin :-)), thunder, smal tinkles, echoes etc. I have some little control over them, and they increase during and after chi kung and meditation. Yoga and chi kung enhance the above cathegories, increasing both perception levels and the "voltage" of the vessel. So I would'nt expect these sounds to be diminished by chi kung, but I believe they will transform into inner and maybe outer light after some maturity. And then there is that hissing sound which is related to blood pressure and seems to be coming from the veins in my inner ear, that is definitely tinnitus. Internal work brings relaxation and will certainly help the blood vessels, but mine is not diminished completely. But I am not concerned, as it helps me to turn my attention to the other inner sounds, and it is quite spacey within :-) Best of everything, Cihan
  25. A Path To Enlightenment

Dear Dawg, Thank you for your wonderful insights and good intentions. Also thank you for revealing the color of your heart with this post. Thank you Gerard as your light helped me identify yet another boulder. I am not a Taoist, don't do Bagua. But I sincerely think your heart is one of the most useful assets in this forum for inspiration.
