  1. Still haven’t learned any Trul Khor or Tummo yet which is what first caught my attention towards and got me interested in Buddhism in the first place though lol. Only very simple basic Tummo explanations, probably just to appease the interest a bit, like visualizing a flame below the navel, which can be connected I think to tonglen meditation or giving and receiving meditation, and “subtle breath” training.

You have always seemed to me like someone who gives 100% to what you are interested in.  The thing about mind trainings is they help people who struggle with motivation to develop it.  For those who are naturally motivated to practice but are still living a lay life, hitting the mind trainings as hard as everyone else might not be so important.  Have you talked with your Drikung community about this?  I have serious respect for the Drikung lineage's activities in the West.  If you have received teachings on Vajrayana and Dzogchen, have you received instructions on integrating the practice with daily life?  Just curious, what books on Mahamudra and Dzogchen have you read and gotten benefit from?

At this point quite a few, I don’t wanna say too much or reveal what I study or give anything away for trolls to search me out, but I especially found the Ganges Mahamudra instructions  by Tiliopa to be insightful, lots of finger pointing instructions, seeing through naked awareness by padmasambhava, lamp to dispel darkness, flight of the Garuda by Shabkar Tsodrug Randrol, The Excellent path to enlightenment Jigten Sumgon’s 5 fold mahamudra, Manjushri clear wisdom dzogchen, are a few off the top of my head

That's interesting - because I find exactly the opposite.  I would naturally retreat and abstract myself from everyday life which I find a bit pointless and disturbing.  But if I practice mind-training and sadhanas etc. I feel and am much more engaged with others and 'the world' generally.

Actually yeah what you’re describing is not so different from what I meant. It’s like I started grasping less to daily life especially interacting with others. Which I absolutely love doing.

I didn’t mean to suggest I was less engaged or less aware, or that my mind was dulled in any way, no to the contrary meditation always makrs me more alert and clear. It's just that I stopped grasping at things to the point of not really desiring to follow thoughts or desires.

Back when I wrote this what I had in mind was that I had recently been to a dispensary and the girl behind the counter was pretty cute and I liked her. But my mind was just not really grasping at anything. I was not really following desires or thoughts, I felt like my desire had sort of lost its root. It was there but it’s root was weak so I didnt follow it.

normally I’d try to flirt, get a number, hell even try to pull her to go with me in The back room while there aren’t any other customers. Not saying that’s realistic, I’ve never actually pulled that off, taking a girl into the back room While she’s working, but the point is, as a man you tried. That’s what counts. It's one thing to just back away, hesitate, or get nervous, and be disappointed with yourself, but it's a weird thing to not think to or desire to.

But I didn’t try, I just started finding pleasure in breathing in prana/qi/universal life force and being aware of my channels, or just emptying my mind even while in public. Like even when talking to a cute girl my mind just went to my breath, my channels circulating, and wanted to go in a meditating state. That was bizarre and it was becoming habituated.

i feel I have a better balance now, engaging life more, meditating a lot still, gaining bliss, but also engaging life and always going for what I want as a man when I see it.

I’m actually very happy and blissful and have sex with endless girls.

Like a wish fulfilling jewel of women

I wish I had this ability to seduce when I was like 18 I would have had insane amounts of sex

  4. That’s really rough man. I feel like you’re probably right that you’re gonna die. The thing is, without being able to have sex there is nothing to live for, and  your sexual drive it’s the fundamental source of your health, motivation, and drive in life.

some people might say oh well just focus on meditation and getting out of samsara, just give up all attachment to everything. The real natural state of your mind is pure effortlessness.

but I dunno if that’s attainable, cuz you still have to have vitality, some people talk about “skillful

    means”, putting in effort etc

like I believe you can sort of transmute that sexual drive as well as your universal energy, into bliss and seeing your own mind.

Without the sexual drive to push that forward I’m skeptical you could even have the energy to abandon samsara.

it’s like sex drive is really the foundation of all and the purpose of existence, it’s what drives your life forward, without it you’re likely completely fucked, probably going to lower realms cuz how could you go up without strong sexual drive? You can’t, it’s everything in this world

I bang at least 2 new girls a week, and it really helps me be happier, extremely blissful, motivated, love life. Add in powerful qigong, and deep meditations I have so much bliss and energy and sex I love life

i feel awful for you man, there’s no life without powerful sex drive

  5. Ok so I have a much better idea now of basic buddhist practices like Sadhana, Mantra accumulation, vajrasattva and meditations including shamatha, vipassana, mahamudra, and dzogchen

I met a drikung kagyu teacher and they were accessible and really cool seeming people, very sincere and caring people, but light hearted too.

Buddhism can be so crazy sometimes though. It reminds me of a story I heard a long time ago, about like this Island where if sailors landed there, women would feed them lotuses, and then the men would never leave the island and time would pass away like a dream, they'd lose touch with reality

That's what buddhism can be, it really takes over your mind, and mind state.

Makes you forget reality and mundane activities. Next thing you know months pass and you've disengaged life a bit cuz your mind is always constantly thinking of the dharma, and compassion, and regret, and aversion to samsara, and you read these texts and all you think about is meditating more and getting more into that mind state, or true reality as it is, I won't say I see rigpa, but like the strong aspiration and desire to keep getting at rigpa, letting go into it, getting clearer and more aware every day, takes over your mind and personality.

When I started, my worldly activities had strong momentum, and I would also have meditations to energize and engage in my daily life activities. As time goes by though the Buddhist practices keep piling up and taking over

Yesterday I couldn't find motivation to engage in life at all. I couldn't find inspiration or interest in doing anything but meditating and reading mahamudra and dzogchen texts, and mantras. All day.

Its good, but today I had to force myself to cut out all buddhism, to do tai chi and meditations for health and engaging life, I need to get that balance down again, cuz it got to a point buddhism, and milarepa, and aspirations of love for all beings, and renunciation of samsara was taking over a bit too much. If you meditate on these things and do sadhana's every day, they start habituating even after you are practicing and effecting you all day afterwards.

  6. Since the Covid-19 lockdowns began, Master Stephen Co has been doing live meditations every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, twice a day at 10:00am PST and 6:00pm PST on his website, Facebook, Instagram and other social media.  I normally wouldn't have been interested but my gf is really into it so I gave it a try and it is actually really cool. I feel really blissful afterwards, with a strong flowing of energy through me, and widened energy pathways. It's so simple you just go to his Facebook. I'd just follow him on Facebook, that's easiest.

He guides Meditation on Twin Hearts which is the foundation of what he practices, as well as The Great Invocation, and even little bits here and there of higher level practices of Arhatic Yoga. He's been being quite generous about opening up bits and pieces of the practices not usually taught openly. Fridays are deep emotional cleansing day.

Follow him on Facebook, his meditations he leads for his followers are powerful, and he has his own "special sauce", or a powerful energy technique he uses to add more spiritual energy to the energy you are developing and make it a lot stronger.

Tuesday Oct.13th at 6:00pm PDT he is giving a free class on Pranic Feng Shui and Pranic Healing called "Aligning Your Inner and Outer Worlds"

  7. Well you may have answered your own question. I don't think Jon Peniel ever claimed to be John the Baptist or the teacher predicted by Edgar Cayce, but I don't know of any other Jon Peniel out there. The teachings certainly do develop the Pineal Gland.

More on Jon Peniel and Edgar Cayce

This article has the relevant parts of the actual Edgar Cayce reading. Interestingly this is one of the only readings where it was said that it wasn't necessarily Edgat Cayce's subconscious speaking, but an arch angel type of being, or a hierarchical being speaking through Cayce

    Author predicted by Cayce?

  8. It can be done. Dayan gong is both of Kunlun Taoist as well as Pure land Buddhist.

    History

Nearly two thousand years ago during the Jin Dynasty (265-420AD), Kunlun Shan, which is a mountain range near Tibet, was home to many Daoists. The monks living there would spend their days studying Daoist teachings, hoping to eventually receive enlightenment and immortality. Kunlun Shan was also home to many wild geese called Da Yan (Big Wild Goose). They were not normal geese as these geese, believed to be the Bar Headed Goose, live twice as long and fly higher than any other geese in the world. The Da Yan became a longevity symbol to the monks who observed these special birds closely. They began to imitate their movements and combine this with Chinese medicine knowledge, eventually forming sets of health exercises known as Dayan Qigong. The Jin Dynasty saw the rapid expansion of both Buddhism and Daoism. One Buddhist monk named Dao An was the translator of many Buddhist texts and connected with the Pure Land (Amitabha) Buddhism particularly. This type of Buddhism concentrated only on chanting the name of Amitabha Buddha so that they might be reborn in his Western Pure Land. The idea of letting go of the mind and body so that enlightenment will happen naturally follows the principles of the Kunlun Dayan Qigong skill. Hence, Dao An was considered the spiritual founder of the skill.

    Origins of Wild Goose Qigong

Kunlun Shan is a mountain range in Western China, almost on the edges of Tibet and it is here that the Kunlun Dayan Qigong skill was developed during the Jin Dynasty. The skill was developed by Daoist monks who had made this area their home. The monks often observed the wild geese who lived there. Da (Big) Yan (Wild Geese) are considered birds of longevity in China and so they would have been a special animal symbol to a Daoist monk who was cultivating himself to live longer in order that he could achieve immortality. Dayan are also symbols of unity as they always fly together as a flock.

Wild Goose Qigong with Master TseWild Goose Qigong (also called Dayan Qigong) began to be developed based upon the movements that the monks observed in these beautiful birds. They also combined the skill with their knowledge of Chinese medicine theory which included knowledge about the channels and acupoints in the body.  Wild Goose Qigong is the foundation form of this Qigong system but many other forms followed until eventually there were at least 72 forms and methods. Daoism uses a lot of numbers and each number has a special meaning and connection. Some relate to the Yijing (Book of Changes), some to the stars and constellations in the sky and some to the Bagua. There is more information on this in Michael Tse’s Wild Goose Qigong books.

Not all of the Kunlun Dayan Qigong forms are long forms like the Wild Goose Qigong. Some are shorter forms, like Eight Pulling Waist Gong or Seven Star Opening Gong. Some of the skills are different meditations and some are healing skills. In addition, Master Tse has continued to develop other Qigong forms, such as Balancing Gong and Healthy Living Gong, based upon the principles of the Kunlun Dayan System.

    Daoist Connection

DSC_0150At the time of the Eastern and Western Jin Dynasty (265-420 A.D.) Daoism was also developing. Daoism advocates leading a simple life in harmony with nature. This was also a time of much artistic development, particularly writing, calligraphy and painting. However, it was also a tumultuous time with many wars between countries. With so much of China in upheaval, there came a growing popularity in things of a spiritual nature.

Many Daoist masters went into the mountains to live and develop themselves without the distractions of politics and strife. Some of them joined together and built their own Daoist temples to help them further their studies on how to become one with nature and also develop their skill and pass it down to the next generations. Living in harmony with nature also meant your own internal body should be in balance. Daoists viewed the body as a complete universe in itself and the there is a diagram which shows this.

    Buddhist Connection

During the Jin Dynasty, there lived a very famous Buddhist monk called Si Dao An. He was responsible for the translation of many Buddhist texts from their original Sanskrit. He travelled to many different places giving lectures, sharing Buddhist knowledge and building temples. Many thousands of temples were built in China during this time.

Whilst Daoism aims for longevity and balance with nature, Buddhism aims for non-attachment and enlightenment. When we practise Wild Goose Qigong, we first need to relax and empty our minds. When we can empty our minds, then we do not need to think about Qi or where it goes and what it does. Everything happens naturally. This emptiness is also one of the goals of Chan Buddhism because when we can let go of our emotional attachments and worries, then wisdom can then develop.  Si Dao An is considered the spiritual founder of Wild Goose Qigong which is related to the Amitabha school of Buddhism.

  9. So after not really doing this system for a couple years, I've been getting back into it the last couple months. The energy the meditations, energy exercises, yoga, etc  are really powerful. Like rushing electric currents flowing and vibrating through you. In you and through you. Plus it seems to for me at least, connect or attach the energy to the will and consciousness at the same time.

I showed the practice and teachings to some people who did things like other meditation systems and pranic arhatic healers and they said it had many similarities in principle and practice to what they did, but were taken aback at some things, they didn't think any teachers had revealed those things publically and didn't know that anyone outside of their practices knew some of these things. So a few people from other paths who practiced for many years or decades have told me Jon Peniel has revealed some things other teachers only teach privately.

Looking back, now that I'm "older, wiser, and know better" lol, even I'm realizing how crazy and out there this system sounds, even to me it's hard to believe, and I practice it, but there's really something special here.

Seems ironic. Irony always finds a way.

This would be among the sweetest ironies ever, if, cannabis sativa proves effective against covid19.

Probably Marc Emery, or someone connected to him, he was basically responsible for North American bud overtaking Dutch bud as the highest quality on the planet and created many new strains.

  11. I don't really know what people mean by "hook up" culture,  if it even exists. Sex is a natural thing, if people are attracted to each other one thing has a way of leading to another and flirtation and chemistry are going to occur. There's nothing wrong with sex or "hooking up", and an ongong and deep connection can occur even if two people have sex on the first date or night meeting.

  12. People into that stuff generally have psychological issues and problems. It's sort of a "negotiated" relationship which damages and prevents the chance of things being able to naturally flow and the chemistry and connection to truly develop as it normally would. It's mostly a psychological attachment to sex and stimulation, and certainly not compatable with spiritual development or a spiritual path.

I certainly wouldn't recommend getting into an ongoing going thing with a woman with an obsession with that stuff. It'll save you a lot of stress and drama in the end to just cut your losses and keep it very no strings attached and short term if a woman tells you she's into that stuff, whether before or after you have sex with her.

  13. Man I've got so much now I could post that would help any one of you understand women's psychology and mating strategies better, but not many here seem to appreciate it. I've improved since I last posted, blowing away what I used to do a few months ago, and I wasn't too bad back then. 3 weeks ago I got with 3 girls from tinder in one week,  2 weeks ago I got with 2 girls in one week, and another cute 22 year old iranian/persian girl on Friday, so 6 girls in 3 weeks. Not too bad if I do say so myself.

Online dating is booming more than ever before right now. Is there any interest in what I'm doing and how I'm messaging them?

You really ought to get your head checked. They're running free tests now, I heard.

You have amazing writing skills, but unfortunately, all you know what to do with it is to puff yourself up at the expense of denigrating those who see differently from you. The hatred and the toxic spew coming out of your mouth makes all that disgusting stuff you mentioned seeing first hand in China sound tame.

And to think at one time I had considered myself fortunate to meet a genuine cultivator in you here on TDB.

Dont bother responding because to engage with you is nothing but an exercise in stupidity, because obviously you're just too hooked on your own delusional self-importance and dramatics. You'd do well in Hollywood as a script writer. Cream of the crop even.

Chill out dude. It's nothing like that.

He's just saying CCP is a terrible dictatorship and it's no longer just the Chinese people that are being affected now. That's not a controversial, political, or really even a debatable subject.

But the bottom line of this thread isn't even about the CCP,  it's just that Chinese wet markets need to end, and the CCP as a side note are not responsible or capable enough to have places like the Wuhan lab operating either.
