Moderation team is totally incapable to curb a troll attack?
dawei replied to SongShuhang's topic in Forum and Tech Support
You're trolling again... but I know you ... we are brothers... FWIW.. minor one plays with bait. major one is the bait. I'll excuse the rape metaphors... let's not go there. -

There seems to be no longer a way to figure out if a member was banned... no more banned group signage. Did you ban this member, or what's the meaning here? -

There are trolls... and there are TROLLS... I don't know mark ... but limahong is a major pain in the ass... trolling with good fun, videos to make someone smile or laugh or have a good time... he's beyond incurable.. I've meet worse but ... he and I chatted a lot off TDBs about life. There is so much more than what you will find on Bums alone. -
Thanks. Fwiw... Past handling was to move a removed members ppd to the sleeping pod section. Selective hiding of a removed members ppd posts seems a bit odd but I get it.

Please post what is hidden and what violations you can cite. Thanks.

I follow your point but tend to see it as an attack on anything that is a crutch or dependency over naturalness (what is often referred to as zi ran). Strip away the influential forces that we label as important and what we're left with is naked existence. It may be a call to return to one's 'senses'.

Please define anarcharistic with examples

I think the idea is that they are modelling humility and as such, the maxim shared in the next line explains the result: that one gains by losing. It seems to put high esteem on the dukes and emperors.

Thanks for the reply.
-
If this is your experience, then maybe you can defined "coming up often". Thanks.
-
I'll agree to stand corrected as well. There is nothing personal going on. Not sure why that always seems to come up.

Nothing burger. Just getting a good laugh here. And can you define "of late" ? and lately ? So now, a single day is "of late" for you and everyone here? That is more laughs... don't you get it yet ? I can guarantee you have much better things to do than this So, whats wrong or right with you lately ? BTW: My job as contractor to the federal government is non-stop... even any shutdown does not shut down our deliverables. Amazing to think folks work for a living and then get some respite, yes?

in a word, chiaroscuro. Defined as the use of strong contrasts between light and dark, usually bold contrasts affecting a whole composition. Caravaggio's Judith beheading Holofernes compare to what is said to possibly be his second edition and then by Gentileschi

wrong assumption... but go ahead and file that as, "I am correct" if it helps. I just don't get into labeling and judging people and groups. Good luck with that.
-
Don't you have something better to do than this ? You could simply ask... I work from home... last 20 years. The lockdown is a nothing burger.
-
Ok, you can read your own words or not. Thanks for replying.

You raised an objection without evidence. Now you ask me for the evidence? Let's not play with words and labels. You choose certain labels you choose to use to mean something derogatory. So someone who you call a libertarian, but that person holds no label over themself, is not someone that your heart sees as someone who could possible take an interest in daoism? So you would say: if they are within a label you put on them but they don't hold themself, they are not within the realm of someone who could possible take an interest in daoism? Edit: You just wrote this in another thread again ... this is my point. Your lack. The Great Way certainly is all-encompassing and yet Iām always a little surprised when intolerance, selfishness, and lack of empathy are exhibited by spiritual practitioners.

Yet you said here: Why invalidate those experiences?

great analogy... then, every choice we make?

no. I never much paid attention to Lau. Just changed up the translators a bit.
-
Word for word. For a translation, then use Lau as a comparison: 失-č -å-ę¼-失 loss-person-same-ah! (alas)-loss A man of loss conforms to loss -- Lau

Heshang Gong (HSG) , 1 century CE and Wang Bi (WB), about 240 CE, both have a version of the DDJ (characters) and a commentary. There are other DDJ versions as well. See this thread: https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/33887-time-table-of-the-tao-te-ching/ IMO, HSG saw the DDJ as more a cultivation text and WB saw it more as a civil/political text. HSG's is considered one of the earliest in the fullest sense to cover all chapters, although the legalist Hanfeizi has an earlier commentary with only some passages surviving and written in a more pragmatic application to the [Warring] times (250 BC). Erkes wrote his work of the HSG in 1945. Dan Reid wrote his work of HSG in 2015. Alan Chan wrote his work of HSG and WB in 1991. Richard Bertschinger wrote his work of HSG and WB in 2010. Richard John Lynn wrote a translation on WB commentary and notes in 1999. Rudolf Wagner wrote a translation on WB commentary and notes in 2003 (part of a 3 part series). Wagner has done extensive research on WB to show that much of what is there is based on HSG. He further showed that WB notes seem to show that the version attributed to WB must of had some changes as the character version at times does not really agree with his notes.
