  1. How can time exist?

We're stuck in time. Unless we move faster then light. Time does not understand the concept of future and past. These are the perception of your memories or perception of your realities. There is only a present where you are stuck in a certain movement and path within this 4th dimension. Only your speed can determine the way in which you travel trough the 4th dimension, time. And time is a word for communication. A symbol that has a meaning which is relative to each person. I think this one speaks most to your initial definition of time where time was a the 4th dimension that could not exist because it had no past or future like we humans do. Perhaps the 4th dimension has got a 5th dimension, etc. Who knows. Time has already been proven to exist in a way that people have already time traveled. Russian guy in satelite traveled extremely fast and had move few seconds back in time. This kinda seems like the time you were talking about. No one know how external time exists, we can only guess where our perception of this time came from.
  2. Is achieving happiness, succes and freedom not a good purpose? I do understand that we all have suffered a day in our lifes. I have suffered too, I've had days where sadness and depression were the purpose of my life, I was masochistic even. I agree with suffering as a purpose of life and tragedy as a definition of life. But don't you think that this is relative to each person? Allot of guys who offed them selves had tragedy as a definition for life. Perhaps having this believe is limiting. To have happiness, succes and freedom as the purpose of all human lifes in general makes most sense to me in a way that it is most commonly valued. Where as sadness and negative things are also valued by some, but not as many. As I said in my previous posts, the purpose of life is relative and I showed step by step how this questions can be translated into "what is the value of your decision" If you move back a few pages to see my initial post on page 4. We can also end in agreement by saying the purpose of life is relative, but then there would be no practice left for agreement.
  3. Happiness, freedom, succes. All three the most commonly valued things in life. Why can't these be the purpose of life? Ofcourse it is not a personal purpose that is only specific for you, but in general it is.
  4. Big post there, thanks. I agree with you completely, but it appears that you did not agree with me. When a person gets depressed, what is the solution? I said: "to know why you're sad and get angry about it instead of just vaguely sad." This is always the first step to get out of depressed/sad situations. Do you think, when you're depressed, that you should cry about it, fo no reason. Just feel the emotions and let it affect your mind in all kinds of pessimistic ways?
  5. Paradox of Perfect Genius

We are all servants of the truth. We all want the truth to be known and embraced. It is exactly this desire that may prevent the truth from rising up when we need it the most. The paradoxical nature of this led me to sharing it, for our succes and genius. It has been said that there is one truth alone. Einstein called it "everything" or god. We call it the great mother of creation. Look around and you will see her children. Find the mother, and it appears to be her child. The mother, in her most complete form, can never be found. Only her creation can be witnessed. Thus we understand her children by understanding the ways of the mother. While everyone goes about discussing the truth, arguing their ideas, winning discussions, they find them selves loosing. We try to share our wisdom, tell our truth and paradoxicly have it be discarded. Get stuck in either observing detail or practicing flexibility can be destructive and unbalance your genius. Instead, respect the ideas of others as good intented and you will find that the truth rises up naturally. Wether you were right or wrong will become matters of the past. Flexible, illogical and detailed, orderly information are both needed in equal measures. The ignorance and judgementalism of others, is often a projection of your own. How paradoxical, huh! Something to keep in mind next time we are discussing our perspectives. 52. Clarity The origin of the world is its mother; Understand the mother, and you understand the child; Embrace the child, and you embrace the mother, Who will not perish when you die. Reserve your judgments and words And you maintain your influence; Speak your mind and take positions And nothing can save you. As observing detail is clarity, So maintaining flexibility is strength; Use the light but shed no light, So that you do yourself no harm, But embrace clarity.
  6. Paradox of Perfect Genius

Now you're starting to make more sense. Those poems and attractiveness of ass I do no not understand. I know what you're getting at, let me take it a bit further: "At that point agreement becomes fuel for disagreement." We use our anger as fuel for constructive and patient/disciplined actions rather then destructive ones. So we choose the path of agreement with our anger, rather then disagreement. This way our fuel of anger will be transformed into well-being, this is the alchemy and magic here. Transforming negative emotional energies into positive ones. Simply by not suffering/wasting the energy away on the uncontrollable. But then again, this is for the well-being of the whole and to secure a cooperation of the geniuses. For your personal genius a lack of education or experience is a more common issue. As observing detail is clarity(education), So maintaining flexibility is strength(experience to back it up); Use the light but shed no light(practicing agreement), So that you do yourself no harm(cooperation of all the geniuses), But embrace clarity(ultimately finding the one truth for all). How we all agree now. If not, let us practice some more agreement!
  7. Tao and Why.

Hey there. I see you have discovered how present mindedness removes most of the suffering in your life. You must not stop here and be content with just a present mindedness. Without the wisdom and intellect you're still prone to suffer alot in the present moment, like most people do. Now that you're in the living, right here in the present, you have the freedom to make any decision you want and to redirect your energy in anyway you wish. How can we possibly suffer? We become like our soul in the present. Marblehead already did most of the speech there for me, so thanks for that. By having an immature boundary functions within our life, or not being able to see what we do and do not controll we can still suffer. Not knowing detail about our preferences, having a fague identity. A mature christian ones told me: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." If you do not know this, you are prone to suffer by spending alot of energy on the uncontrollable. But, you can also suffer in ways by not spending any energy on things you can controll. This is called passivity, and alot of people who enjoy the Tao move towards this direction, because they take the desirelessness too literally. We suffer by making the wrong decisions. Especially passiveness and destructiveness are the biggest form of suffering in the present. Manitou also shared some wonderful words on how she was prone to be destructive out of bad habbits when not being present minded. Desireless implies that you do not base your actions on desire/emotion, but rather see this desire or emotion as an indication of your needs, and the way flows beyond the gate of experience. So you must have a commitment to a higher thing then yourself and your worldly experiences. A believe. Wether this higher thing is wrong/good you will learn only after you have completed the action. If you keep learning, you will eventually follow a path wherein you have eternal bliss, and die a fullfilled life. This is the goal for everyone. To start walking on a path that does not change, only moves forward, flows eternally and easily with little effort. It is hard to find the Tao in this way, infact it is impossible, but that is a good thing. This means we can spent on entire lives trying to move more towards the Tao, even if you're 99% there you can still move more towards it. How do we even start to find this path? Well alot of people go about living, thinking it is too late, no point. While instead, you are already living in the present and don't suffer in such a way. The next step is to know what you love most, and move towards it in little patient and disciplined steps, trough having a higher commitment and desireless actions. This is just the beginning of Tao, the initiation. The rest that follows will guide you more and more towards the Way by filled you with resources to use your soul in the present moment and spent your energies constructively.
  8. Paradox of Perfect Genius

Why the hell are you quoting that, in my opinion: piece of worthless shit quote from god knows which stoned guy, right here on this topic? I don't get the "awa kenzo" poem either. What do you mean with that?
  9. Paradox of Perfect Genius

    Exactly.
  10. Paradox of Perfect Genius

Did you read it? IT says right there, they try to win discussions and they loose it. They loose their influence. Reserve your judgments and words And you maintain your influence; Speak your mind and take positions And nothing can save you. Why? Because when you try practice disagreement with others, trying to tell them the truth by winning, you loose. You loose the discussion, and you loose your influence on them. They will not see your point of view since it comes from a place of disagreement at its core instead of agreement. Damn, have I made this stuff too complicated? I overestimated everyone maybe
  11. Thanks, I agree with you that being softer, more kind and gentle person is good. Flow in the ocean of the tao, practicing to be like water is great! Resorting to anger in as a motivating force is bad, very bad, indeed! I totally agree with you. What if anger is already there? Then what do you do. Or do you never get angry? A person I have known got beaten by his mommy and daddy and got cut off from his emotions, he never gets angry, he only gets depressed. He never gets fearful, he only gets impulsive. He sees beyond his emotions! Into the oceans of the Tao! lol, I'm pissing my pants as I write this. Sorry, but atleast I'm being honest with you. roflmao Looking forward to hearing from you.
  12. The Twelve Steps and Tao

Yeah, and those are the 6 steps, which in my eyes are also a cycle. Just review your past experiences or frustration when it came to failures within certain areas. I forgot where I got this cycle but seems to be universal for everyone, I have found. Amazing... Perhaps the 6 step cycle is too abstract and lacks details in your eyes? Sure, but thats a sacrifice. To make it more durable, lasting, effective, more rememberable, easy to understand.
  13. Hey, der! Good to hear someone sharing interest in the same mystery here. I'm just so curious about this aswell. I'm not so sure. All I can think of is that they had plenty of "play" time while educating them selves. Play as in the how all the genius of the past did it. Most scientists loose their soul on education and get stuck up with the words so much that they loose the ability to visualize and imagine like Einstein did for example. He was more of an artist. What is our problem then... Why can't we "play" to learn. Why can't learning be more natural and less forced, less focused on "increasing knowledge?" Especially math! Becase we learn the rules like 1+1=2, but they never give us a meaning to put on these terms. The never give us the true value within our heart behind each calculation. They never allow us to practice it on something more meaningful. Like John Nash did. He gave us the mathematical proof of karma with his equilibrium theory! I say we blame the society for taking away our freedom in educating our selves. These ancients educated them selves and did not follow the current rules of schools and educators. Thats just an possibility I guess. Well... Thats my thought of the day
  14. Paradox of Perfect Genius

Let me tell you how much I disagree with that! Nah, just kidding. What you say is completely true, but does not respond to what I was reffering to. What I know is that we must find a balance between protecting our ideas and staying open to new ones, yes. What I mean with, "When you agree with everyone, the truth will arise naturally in its purest form," is not to accept all the ideas of someone else and discard your own! No. What I ment: when everyone practices to agree with eachother, they will ALL discuss their opinions and they will ALL learn from every bit of truth in eachothers words, respecting all opinions. The very nature of agreeing with eachother sets a law that the truth must be universal. Alot of people in this society practices disagreeing with eachother. Just like I saw alot of truth and wisdom in your words, even though I do not completely agree with your comment, because I feel inside that I already know that, and it does not refer to my ideal picture of a complete perfect genius society. But trying to agree with you, I would never discard your wisdom in any way, because in the end we will share the same truth. Wether I was wrong or not, wether you were wrong or not, will all be matters of the past. Reserve your judgments and words(first practice agreeing with others) And you maintain your influence; Speak your mind and take positions(practicing disagreement with others) And nothing can save you. Do you understand what I mean?
  15. Awesome, thanks for this post. Just what I was looking for. I thought these ancients looked beyond words, to see the diffrent meanings of each symbol within each word that is being used. "Without desire we must be found," is a way of saying: to have a higher commitment. The paradox here is that a person without desire will get his "desires" met more often then a person with desires. Everyone has desires, it depends on what the symbol of "desire" means to you. The child who grabs the ball to place it in the goal with his hands while everyone looks confused, desireful and succesful in the shorterm, but looses in the longterm. He will end up loosing without understanding the paradoxical nature behind his actions in the future. Call it karma, if you will. There was this great story of a samurai, which I don't recall perfectly well. The plot goes something like this: The students master is murdered, and on his death the student tells the master he will see to it that justice is served. The student, patiently and disciplined, travels countries to find the murderer. He then meets the murderer, approaches and unseath his sword. The murderer spits on his face, the student seathed his sword and walk away.... Why did he walk away? Because in that instant he would have killed him out of his anger, and not out of the commitment to a higher thing. This is how disciplined and desireless the Samurai were. In the end, how does not killing the murderer, which seems preferable to the eye, serve us well? It serves us well in forming positive and enhancing habbits with our negative emotions of anger and fear. These samurai never acted agressively with their anger, but assertive instead. The fearful samurai were there to warn for dangers and they aswell did not act impulsively on their fears but couragiously instead, choosing the right path even in the most fearful circumstances. This ensured a strong force to who "NATURALLY" acted assertive and couragious. When you tell an immature person to act maturely he will find that it requires extreem efforts to change his behaviour, based on knowledge alone. The Taoist spent their lives decreasing knowledge, becoming natural at everything. If you tell an immature person to see beyond his desires, this small practice will move him towards a more mature self, more naturally. Don't take the words too litteraly, everyone has desires ultimately, yes. The ancients saw beyond them, to serve not only them selves or others, but to serve the greater benefit of the whole. EVERYONE and EVERYTHING.
  16. Just by reading about this I get into a meditative state. Wish I could always be in one, everything seems so effortless when we are in this state of mind. I've experienced that it can't be done with intention, but rather letting go. You can just go into a meditative state by intention? How did you practice to get so far? What distractions(things getting you out of a meditative state) did you strugle with, in the past, the most?
  17. Wikileaks - Thoughts

Hey, all! Didn't even see this topic untill now! Its great to see everyone being so passionate about this subject. I my self cannot vote, because wikileaks kinda makes me sad. Went to school to learn about the history of propaganda and now I see media wars all over the world. So I try to avoid wikileaks, as I don't feel well the last few days. Anyways! Have fun, everyone.
  18. How many ejaculations per week I can have?

1 time a day is good, 2 times a day is max. A new day has begun! It is morning and you have a hard penis. Time to rise! You stand up straigth, grab your gear, and go hunting with the guys. You use this energy to excersize or hunt prey. Or you use it to have sweet love with your women. At night, your hunger has raised. The prey has been served, everyone gathers around to eat a big meal. Your belly is satisfied for the day. You sit around and socialize, hear stories of people or tell stories. At night, you go to bed and make sweet love with your wife, because everything is so perfect. You're both satisfied and can let go to sleep. A new day has begun! It is morning and you have a hard penis. You rise to go hunting again. If you're confident that today will be an easy routine, you make some sweet love to your women right before you go hunting. Cycles continues. The way of things...
  19. The Twelve Steps and Tao

In my observation of the world I find no steps to the Tao. There is no ultimate way to the Eternal Tao, there is no ultimate way. Mysteries are never ending, solutions are in infinite varieties. The 12 steps are in my observation a nice thought, but the real world shows a cycle of 6/7 stages. In my observation: Stage 1: Guy is idealistic. (Commited to one path) Stage 2: Guy is frustrated. (Things are not the way it suppose to be in his eyes) Stage 3: Guy is defiant. (Angry and seems to always win arguments with people who are trying to help them.) Stage 4: Guy is resigned. (stops arguing, seeks new positive believes.) Stage 5: Guy is aware. (Mind sees all the new possibilities!) Stage 6: Guy is decisive. (Picks one path, one way of things) Cycle starts again... Stage 7 is stage 1 Stage 7/1: Guy is committed. (Idealistic about one path) Guy becomes frustrated again, etcetera... Stage 7 and 1 seem to be the most desirable, but staying here too long will get you out of balance. It is not natural. Staying between stage 5 and 6, will set you in an infinite uprising to a better understanding of the way of things. Be decisive, but allways remain aware of all new posibilities. Never become to stuck with one truth.
  20. Modern Life

Coins on top of bills? Man, I would smack that idiot or tell him/her to hand me coins first. What kind of store do you go? You should make a comment about it, especially if you go to this store often. Believe me it is worth it, this is so important stuff! No really... If it is a food store, be nice while you ask them to hand you coins first, then the bills. They might spit in your food or something.
  21. Collected Robert Bruce Posts on Kundalini

Ok wtf... This guy raised a candle and almost died? What is kundalini... Whats he talking about.
  22. So, by meditative state you guys means a balanced mood and state of mind that moves you effortlessly? I can totally relate with that. What puts me out of a meditative state, most of all, is doing math or studying. Studying is like my kryptonite. I feel like I loose my own soul when I study, putting name tags on everything, trying to identify everything, I can no longer enjoy simply being a witness to creation after studying a long time. I've tried, but still need more practice to stay in a meditative state while studying hard. I need breaks every 5 minute to remind my self. After studying for long periods of time I feel regressed. Anyone can relate to this? How do you go about doing this? I've found that regular short physical excersize, to get the energy flowing trough you body again, helps alot. Also taking cold showers makes me feel very fresh and energized, especially when sitting down to long for studies. It gets the blood flowing more and with less effort.
  23. Information overload.

Yeah I do nothing wisdom everything love doesn't make sense huh? Is it possible to change names?
  24. Happiness in solitude

Hey guys, haven't found a topic about this, thought I'd make one to increase my/others knowledge on this area of life. Is it possible for one person to be completely durably happy in complete solitude, without purpose besides filling the belly everyday. Who has done it?
  25. Happiness in solitude

What does solitude do then? Makes you balanced, allows for meditation, becoming observer of your life and being present minded. My conclusion: Solitude would most like result in neutrality rather then happiness. Once you get the life flowing again you will see the happiness to come naturally. Unless you loose touch, again, with what you have found during solitude. Solitude is the beginning of a new chapter and the birth of your new self.
