  1. Fasting, not on food, but on sleep

What I am speaking of, just like fasting, is LONGER SLEEPS, not less sleep or more sleep. Fasting, you eat nothing, feasting you have one big meal. Not fasting you keep eating continuesly and develop all kinds of malfunctions in your body. Same with sleep. I advice alot of sleep. But what I'm saying is wether it might be great for spiritual developement to lets say not sleep 48 hours and then feast by sleeping 20 hours at once.
  2. Greetings! Well, at first I thought that the mind is relative and the brain is relative and their relationship is within their shared relativity. So I have to ask first, don't you agree that the mind is equal to consciousness?
  3. When I think of the word mind and brain, the words the origin and the originated pops into my head. As in: the originated brain originated from its origin; the mind. I'm pretty satisfied with this answer actually ^^
  4. Lucid Dreamimg

a "lucid dream" doesn't give you superpowers, depending on what those words means to you. Some people say a dream in which you know it is a dream. Lucidness, however, gives you awareness which you can use to witness higher potentials. Wether in dreams or not in dreams. Alot of people fail to do what they want even within lucid dreams. Because their reality is stuck in desire, not lucidness. Once you actually stop desiring and change reality from desiring to actually seeing that which you initially wanted, or atleast the potential of it, then you will have succeeded in waking up.
  5. Lucid Dreamimg

That is very true. I've found the focus on dreaming is useless. You have to increase your awareness before your dreams also becomes more vivid and thus lucid. Once you have a real good vivid wake initiated lucid dream, you will never be able to say "I'm not dreaming, 100%" never anymore. Because in the dreams you say the same thing... In the dream you say "this is not a dream, not a question about that." And you say it every dream when you ask yourself if you are dreaming. The desire to recognize the illusions will not help that much. Infact, I believe that lucid dreaming is only available to those who no longer DESIRE it, but are actually already lucid enough not to desire. Every dream is vivid and lucid, but without awareness the vividness is either never perceived or reached to its full potential. Everything is a dream, even your desire to lucid dream. But it is hard to keep seeing the dream, to wake up infinite times. People get tired and wish to just continue to sleep. You really have to wake up. Even now. If you wake up atleast 5 times during the day, there is a much higher chance of lucid dreaming in the night. There are infinite illusions. Every waking means one less. For example, you might be listening to your own voice right now, as I do when I'm reading. Or you could wake up in a way as to you use other senses, or change your perception of your reality. For example, view your monitor from another perspective then your current one and observe.
  6. Lucid Dreamimg

Dude, isn't that drugs? Like bad for you in the long run. Does it have side effects? Woulden't the whole world take it if it improved your memory in such a drastic way? My memory is the worst memory of all. I can hardly remember the films I've watched and I rarely recall the tons of lucid dreams I've had. But taking some commercial drugs is useless. The moment we invented writing, external memories, our internal memories were doomed. External memories has taken over the planet!! xD
  7. Dream Trauma?

You can analyze your dreams as some sort of journalling and observation of your ego, if you can't find lucidness. Then you can practice being lucid in waking life to change your believes and realities in subtle ways during waking life. But getting lots of lucid dreams, even if they only last a few seconds, can be very useful. It allows you to get familiar with the lucidness and understand what it really means. To get lucid dreams, I recommend sleep in long periods like atleast 10 hours. The longer you sleep, the longer and more vivid your dreams become. Awakening for seconds or a minute is no problem, as long as you do not disturb the dreamingnprocess too often. The lucid dream is like a finishing touch of your sleeptime. It is so vivid and strong that it stimulates the mind to be more aware. Suddenly you recognize the illusions and change realities. I have not been able to understand why, but around after 11-12 hours of sleep I always become lucid naturally without any effort on my part. Perhaps its just how we're evolved. However, I believe a good slave would never be allowed to sleep more then 8 hours in order to remain tired and dull. This way it will never cross his/her mind that he is dreaming. This way the master can control the reality of the slave trough stuff like commercials very easily. It is prone to accept and submit into fake realities when one is tired and deprived of sleep. You need to sleep in order to wake up.
  8. To rule in hell, or serve in heaven?

To quote Jacques Fresco: "When a land falls into chaos, the only law that can and shall not be broken is the law of nature." In hell, men rule over men, men serve men. In heaven, nature rules over men, men serves nature. Religion was born on the day that we made nature serve us. The day that we left mother, headed into the unknown, in seek of fire, knowledge. But in order to succeed we have to stand up to the challenges of satans. In the end we will return to mother nature with our treasures or die playing with fire.
  9. Dream Trauma?

Well, usually they relate as organizing your core believes and realities in more solid ways. A nightmare would simply relate to the fear in a way that it makes the fear stronger and gives it a ground to stand upon, to grow and relate to your reality, so that it may grow in waking life aswell. Either that, or the dream completely takes away the fear. But usually the dreams are not the source of fears and triggers. It is usually a trauma formed in early childhood or some other traumatic event of which the memory is supressed. You can always identify the concept that is feared trough dreams and decide wether or not to alter its emotional effect on you. But yes, dreams do strongly relate to fears and instincts. In our dreams, we find our natural, primitive self. We witness our fear in its true form. Everything in our dreams is, in fact, us... The "fear" was put there by you. You connected the emotion to the idea during its birth, you are its mother. You run away in your dreams from this "fear" and it will always be there, because you cannot avoid that which is inside of you. You start to approach your "fear", in a lucid dream, and you can change your emotional relation to this idea, concept or thing you "fear". But it will not be easy. The moment you face your fear, all the concepts that this anxious emotion accumulated over your lifetime will start to pop in your dream and you'll have to face it all. It can be overwhelming at first, but with practice anything is possible. For example, you begin the dream approaching one spider, trying to hold it in your hands. Suddenly a whole nest of baby spiders pops up and starts frenzy on you. You remain faithful and continue your couragious act by defending yourself from the spiders with fire. Suddenly spiders crawl under your clothes and start to walk around in your mouth... Now in such a situation you either start to chew the spiders and drink some whine along with it, which would certainly deal with the fear once and for all, or you could completely panic, freak out, wake up and scream and jump out of the bed with spidy sensations all over your body.
  10. Dream Trauma?

I believe this is possible aswel. It certainly must be! In lucid dreaming, people sometimes develop positive trauma's, or faith, by doing things in their dreams they do not dare in real life. Singing in front of a crowd of people is an example of forming a positive trauma in a lucid dream. After that kind of lucid dream, you are less fearful of singing in front of crowds if you've already overcome that fear in your dreams, even if you would have forgotten such a dream. So if the "positive trauma's" are possible, surely the negative ones must be there aswell. As for regular dreams? Forgetting the event itself that formed the trauma can be even more potent, wether its positive or negative. It leaves no knowledge of the trauma. Only the impulsive instinct, the invisible scar, in your psychology. In the end, you will see that there is no single reality, but that it changes every moment. So you begin developing trauma's on the fly, you find faith in the void, you start to do impossible things and become a new person every single second. Improving, addapting... Thats lucid dreaming. All dreams are highly unstable and unpredictable. They are merely stress tests, like a sort of meter of your performance and challenges of your believes. Some crazy thing you fear deep within starts to jump out of nowhere, you decide to give a cup of coffee and talk with it, then the coffee begins to melt and you freak out! Now, you failed the test, because you were not flexible and aware enough to notice your fear of the hotness of the coffee. In my dreams I often deal with fears this way, perhaps I have more fears then usual, but love them. Without fear, courage would have no meaning.
  11. Mental Dialogues

My thought after reading that: "Hahahaha!" "If I think about my thoughts, I no longer hear any thoughts! Hmmm, I should post that I think..."
  12. Get girls to check you out

Hehe, I just wanted to say that in my dreams I actually only have girls check me out when I become awesome and great fun to hang out with. If I'm talking with Conan the barbarian or jesus in my dream, the girls are not checking me out. It is pretty similar to real life actually sometimes. It just feels more energetic and intense in a dream. More important and rich and vivid... More colourful. Its weird how dreams become so true to the soul sometimes.
  13. Nice story. If you stay open, you can give love and receive love. Opening up, being yourself, naked, true, spontaneous. However, you are also prone to be hurt. So you must know when it is time to love the earth and when it is time stay calm and detached. If an animal eats you while you are appreciating him, you will become sad and think "why is this animal doing me wrong?" While it your mindset that is innaprorpiate in the firstplace and you are doing thus yourself wrong. It is all an illusion, a dream, if you have a the wrong mindset in any given situation. And since the situations in our life are ever changing, we must constantly wake up, constantly become lucid and aware. You must constantly change the perception of the planet to fit in. To be closer to harmony, effortlessness, the flow. Stay in love mode as much as you can, but learn the typical situations where you must become tranquil, detached, increased awareness of the senses, perceiving perception. Like a samurai warrior, feeling pain and not suffering from it, but rather acting as efficiently as possible and not becoming angry or wasting energy. Ususally these typical situations can be recognized by the fact that your emotions become negative. When you appreciate life, life is ABLE to appreciate you back. When you suffer from life, you become detached so that life cannot possible make you suffer. When you are deprived of life, you start to appreciate it again. When you suffer, you decide not to suffer anymore, by detaching from it. Being reborn in more wise way. You start to detach from all the situations you have suffered, and just observe the pain. But a return to love and a departure from it is just an eternal journey that must be appreciated and detached from on itself. If you appreciate life; some times life does not appreciate you back, other times life appreciates you back. A warrior loves his family, and he is not angry towards the enemies he is forced to fight. In the end, the whole world cries for the battles that has been fought. Why? Because we cannot live without love... We cannot ignore the horrors for ever. The more we cry, the more we see the disharmony arise. That is why your story is so important for many warriors. It opens them up, see their true nature and love. Like Tao Te Ching. Without it, warriors would eventually starve from a lack of love. This way we can live in harmony.... In a cooperative world.
  14. --*offtopic*-- man you have no idea, I laughed so much with the video with batman thing. Its genius. Allot of cool stuff in there. I can't believe you got so few views. It seems like a video that should have like atleast milion views compared to all the other lame videos with 2 milion views... Not that you need views, but I find it odd cause your videos are very entertaining. I started making my first comedy video trough the use of machinima, it was so incredibly good and we spend so much time on it with my friend, but it got deleted on accident... All I have left of it is the intro of the video: Since then I stopped making videos. My youtube channel is just a relic of what it could have been. Just some occasional youtube spam, with text to speech program. I don't even got proper recording material to do my own voice acting Now I gave up making videos, I totally focus on playing music instruments. But I'm considering improv comedy. I also did a video like your video's, using the city where I live. We made a hilarious clip about "the good, the bad and the drunk" and it came on TV on some unknown channel my friends claimed. But even that was NOTHING compared to what you make. Improvisation is the most valuable form of entertainment and you did more improv there then those canny stand up comedians... ---- *on-topic* Sorry, had to write that. Your comment is so deep and complex. It might be simple, but it is difficult to grasp. I don't know what to make of it. It certainly got me feeling inspired. Mostly confused when I try to grasp it. Its like water, I have to hold it gently It reminded me of the "two milion year old man that is within all of us, and we can meet it in our dreams." Carl G. Jung said something about that. I have the book called "the two milion year old man" I totally forgot it and you reminded me of it. I planned on reading it and saved the book on my computer. I'll take it on my iPhone now that I have to go away for a week. I'll read that and contemplate some stuff you said. I know there is truth in the words you wrote, I still have to find what this truth is. Abstract the concepts a bit to make it leverage. I'll read this topic again in a week. Going away for a week though: to an internetless place.... Feel free to continue discussions or leave it at this, what you guys want. I'll be back in a week. I'll be back... *walks away like robot* OH, before I forget, thanks for all the great stuff here, everyone. Everything loves you all Inflated ego, me? Nah...
  15. Thats a great way of looking at things. Pretty interesting. Thanks for writing it
  16. I really have no knowledge of stuff like yin, yang, trigram hexagram or i Ching. I checked it out on google and came up on this page: http://www.kheper.net/topics/I_Ching/trigrams.htm It says the broken line is yang and straight line is yin. So water is broken, straight, broken. On top of another. "A solid line in between two broken lines symbolize water. The two broken lines represent the depression of earth (river banks). The solid line in the middle represents motion. This creates the image of water flowing in a river. In addition, this kua also represents the moon." But never mind if the site is just talking nonsense, I'm not familiar with these concepts.
  17. So we become content with who we are in the moment, and we must learn to find our deepest self in every moment by practicing it first in meditation? Kinda like monitoring your heartrate, being aware wether it beats faster or slower then average. Or how the sensations in your body feel and become familiar with the feelings. Being aware of where your focus goes in the mind: thoughts, smells, sensations. Its hard to explain how I go about finding this inner self that requires no shell or constant reality and is very similar like water, but here's one way to describe it: "perceiving your perceptions" as if you are looking at yourself perceiving things and you become aware of yourself perceiving things. You see how your perceptions are one way or the other but you are the observer of the one observing. Is it something like that or am I just making up kookoo stuff here? something about what you are suggesting I'm not completely clear about but sounds familiar... I think I did feel a peaceful period in my life where I tried this. Perhaps it feels very tranquil and balanced at the same time. It is like living with the passion of a small flame, constantly and steadily blowing, solid, not easily distracted, never over excited, never depressed. Kinda content in a chill way like that bob marley song, hehe. Oh, wait... Thats not bob marley? just say the title
  18. Thats interesting to me. Are you gys suggesting that the super ego is the outside boundary, identity, protecting the inside resources that truely contains our nature like "happiness" Alot of people talk about ego being bad for love and connection and sensual experiences, so that I presume that its the boundaries they're talking about. While you are suggesting that the EGO is actually the true self, the part of us that matters? The emotions? So the boundaries are protecting the happiness, but the loving person is constantly happy so doesn't need a boundary or super-ego in the first place? Like no one can ruin his day because he's too happy and has abundance? Or am I totally misunderstanding.
  19. Isn't the water trigram outside motionless while the center is in motion? The outside representing the mountains and rocks or something. The center the flowing water.
  20. Top 5 regrets people make on their deathbed

I have allot of loner habbits aswell. But honestly, I have no freakin clue why... Not even close
  21. I noticed the videos some time ago, they're admiraby awesome Ah, so you agree that surrenderig ego is only for replacing it by another new and better, more expanded, more useful, more constructive and wise ego? Like how I learnt to swim. I was the first in my class of kids to jump in the deep, why? Because my swimming teacher punished me by throwing me into the deep without swimmig aid that we usually wear. He said "you can swim" right before he did it. I let go of my ego that day for the first time it seemed. Very scary but extremely rewarding. What was the reward? A new, more solid and more truthful and constructive ego was constructed right there, right then. "I can swim." This ego held me confident troughout all of the diving practice and I won the competitions at that age. One thing though: surrendering ego is to me extremely scary, sometimes so scary that even trying to surrender will just cause the ego to reinforce itself. For example some says "I can swim!" jumps in the water and hears himself saying "no I can't swim, get out of the water! What have you done!?" and his entire mind is taken over by the ego. He will start to scream for help and soon drown himself in the whole process of struggling with his own ego. I actually saw this happen to a child, only he did not drown ofcourse. So this surrendering of believes about one self or ego's is a practice that fascinates me. In lucid dreaming we can directly train it. For example, if you say "I can fly!" and nothing happens, it will become obvious that you are not able to surrender your ego. Surrendering ego also requires great awareness and focus on surrendering of an ego. For example imaginig yourself flying, or just "feeling it in your mind, so that you can accept the concept and go for it a hundred procent. But most of all. I've found that nothing kills ego more smoothly that just thinking "it is going to happen, there is no doubt about it." and instantly go for it, taking the ego by suprise. Isn't that the most effective way of expanding your boundaries, ego and comfort zone? If anything at all, my fear of walking down the street as a woman is because of a lack of identity in such a situation is it not? Wihout a boundary that seperates me and other person laughing at me, I would feel vulnerable and not confident. However this very act of doing it with the right mindset constructs this new boundary that wasn't there. A new ego?
