  3. i like your menu mYTHmAKER ! do you eat just once a day ? sinan you can also make some beans or lentil dips for protein . soak overnight , just boil them , change water 2 times while boiling them to get rid of toxins (old grangrandma way of cooking those in my family ) fry some spices on the oil like cumin , ginger , turmeric , add salt and blend everything into a paste , garnish with herbs if you want and bon apetit . good with raw carrots , celery , cucmber . chickpeas are meant to be best - easiest for humans to break down and very nourishing .

  5. Feminist thread

Nice post . Thanks god , someone has deeper understunding of how things are ! While thoughtless women man bashing and women who want to rule the world is a NO ,NO , I will always stand up for human rights , be mans or womans ones . Lets face it -- in some places around the world women are still being secnd class citizens , if not house pets . By me saying that -- it does not mean that I hate man or any similar ridicolous statment , but simply hear the cry and feel suffering of my sisters . It also does not mean that all women are angels that need to be saved or similar . The fact is that developed world where women can actually live more or less equal lifestyle to men is not the only reality . We are talking about Western Europe , nowdays parts of Easter Europe to a degree , America and Australia , what about the rest of the world ? In my opinion the women need to take care of themselves with some hard core mesuares , that is why EXTREMES are good sometimes and in this cases feminism is much needed . Sometimes there are even women in some countries who are perpetuating crimes against women , but brainwashed by patriachal system . Having travelled in some less developed countries for longer periods and having women tell me stories of their life from around the world this stuff breaks my heart . female genital mutilation: http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/nov/18/female-genital-mutilation-circumcision-indonesia watch if you are not squiemish witch camps in Ghana: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19437130 bride kidnapping: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bride_kidnapping breast ironing as preventative against rape in Africa especially Cameroon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breast_ironing ....As well as being dangerous, breast ironing is criticized as being ineffective for stopping sexual abuse. GIZ and the Network of Aunties (RENATA), a Cameroonian non-governmental organization that supports young mothers, campaign against breast ironing,[5] and are supported by the Ministry for the Promotion of Women and the Family.[4] Some have also advocated for a law against the practice; however, no such law has been passed.[1] According to one Cameroonian lawyer, if a medical doctor determines that damage has been caused to the breasts, the perpetrator can be punished by up to three years in prison, provided the matter is reported within a few months.[2] However, it is unclear such a law exists and there are no recorded instances of legal enforcement.[1] The GIZ survey found that 39 per cent of Cameroonian women opposed breast ironing, with 41 per cent expressing support and 26 per cent indifferent.[3] why India is bad for women: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/jul/23/why-india-bad-for-women ....We have a woman president, we've had a woman prime minister. Yet in 2012, one of the greatest tragedies in our country is that women are on their own when it comes to their own safety," . She went on to outline another incident in India last week: a group of village elders in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, central India, who banned women from carrying mobile phones, choosing their own husbands or leaving the house unaccompanied or with their heads uncovered. "The story is the same," said the news anchor. "No respect for women. No respect for our culture. And as far as the law is concerned: who cares?"... how did rape become a weapon during the war http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/4078677.stm and so on ..
  6. How do you calculate Karma astrologically

My mum said these are really good (20 years ago though), but you know also she is not always right . Anyaway you can check it out here: http://www.maharishiyagya.org/
  7. Astral projection troubles/blues

Lindelani , do you have a a teacher you learn spiritual practise from ? Maybe it is a good idea to look for one to study with if you do not . You are so young and if you are into this stuff and with help of a right teacher you would be able to sort yourself out really fast .
  8. Someone sent me Chunyi Lis book the other day , as they got the free extra one . Nice blog Full Lotus .
  9. Root chakra curiousities?

I know what you mean now , but it is inccorect to say so . There seems to be a lot of confusion and misundrestanding of what chakras actualy are , otherwise it is just imagination . For example some years ago I have met this 55 years old woman at this place where I used to live and we got chatting about spiritual stuff . So Id see her passing by and always saying hello . One day I patted her on the back to say good bye in a tactile way , but lo ! there was sometinhg on her back . So I thought that she was ill and wearing some sort I dont know spinal belt and inquired about this thing that covers her back . She answered me that she is wearnig a cut out piece of cardboard at all times on her back to protect her chakras becouse ethere is all sorts of people around . She is wearnig a CHAKRA CARDBOARD PROTECTION and trying to convince me how good it is . So you know it is good to be careful with these things becouse before you know it you may be wearing a chakra protection .
  10. Is enjoying food important?

I disagree , sometimes it is good to go to the extreme . It really depends on the person and where s/he is at in life . Personal harmony is not always achieved by general approach , actualy very rarley . Middle ground is not achieved the same for everyone , it may take different pathways . Sometimes middle ground is not middle ground . That is why expirimenting and learning our own individual language is the best . Emphasises on learning and understanding our own individual mind /body language as oppose to thinking that we learning it . Anyway , yes food should be enjoyed either for flavour or for its healing properties . Hope it does not sound to complictaed or something ...
  11. Root chakra curiousities?

Lindelani , I have never had about existance of pain in the chakra before . It is a new concept to me . You mean you had pain in the lower back ? Hey , do you have practise and what is it ?
  12. Past lives

Yes , whatever practise you do (what is your practise if any ?) -- do A LOT of it , like most of your free time , you will definetly have expirience sooner or later and may get to know something of your past lives . Just do it no matter what and o through all physical and mental obstacles . However you have been warned about maybe not being able to fuction so well on practical level , loosing your mind and similar . So as long as you know the score go for it -- 'jump in the water and learn how to swim !'
  13. Can Kundalini "burn up" entities?

In some cases only a healer will help becouse of the skill and general weakness of a person being healed . . In some cases only the healer will help becouse of the idea that only a healer will help , in some cases not even the healer can help . Not all cases are the same , not everyones ability is the same , regardless of what anyoneone says , be it Jesus , Buddha or Sifu Jenny . For example I recall our own Konchong Uma describing getting rid of entity by himself through fasting and clearly hearing him depart . Where is that post ? Where are you Konchong Uma ? What Madame Cat said above: 'We do purification+, so that our work benefits extra guests, not just ourselves..' -- is awesome and I agree - feed the hungry , have so much that ' you ' (generic you )can give away , open the heart beyond limits of ' I cannot do this and this is not possible ' and see how it is all being done . Empower ' yourself ' by being loving and able . Fantastic and inspirational Tibetan yogini Machig Labradon comes to my mind and her system of 'feeding the demons' (Chod practise ). This is given to Machig L. from her teachersas advice and it rocks : Confess your hidden faults. Approach what you find repulsive. Help those you think you cannot help. Anything you are attached to, let it go. Go to the places that scare you. Secondly , I just had a thought that really entities and all that ' not your daily everyday persons occurances ' jazz can be a blessing too, becouse it helps to recgonize other than just a physical way of existing .
  14. Another bum presents a dream... analyze this?..

Yes that is how it works sometimes . Good for you !
  15. Grounding queries

Taking up martial arts and becoming more responsable and clear minded constantly for own actions and thinking on day to day basis is good for grounding .
  16. Can Kundalini "burn up" entities?

This is it . With entities/spirits it is about reshaping and cleansing the mental/emotional body . Another way to do it is by paying attention through out the whole day -- whenever awake, if forgetting than start again . Becoming more alive and aware to whatever goes on at the time and needs to be done . Noticing from which place do you operate and what is the motivation -- getting to know yourself really well . What influences are present and predominant and why . Eliminating the unuseful ones (by not acting upon them ) and keeping , introducing the ones that are useful , creative and bring better well being . This sounds probably really boring and unmystical , but becoming more aware and as responsable is the way to reclaim the peace in life .
  17. Ganying

Taomeow , I am so happy to learn that this has a name : Ganying .
  18. Drew thanks for sharing about Jim, really interesting to read !
  19. This is from the book I have mentioned in one of the previous psosts 'Of water and spirit ' . It is from Initiation chapter and the elder explains stuff in the begginig of the initiation to 13 year olds (20 YO in writers case due to his life circumstances). These initiations are rites of passage and if someone does not go through it , s/he is not considered an adult . This is actually very true and our society overall is like a bunch of irresponasble kids /or young teenagers playing with matches . Lacking responsability and depth of insight . In my view being more deeply responsable and mature would be a product of feeling interelated. Something that runs naturally in African spirituality which is comunity orientated and one is reminded of ones position in existance in that context, as oppose heavely hermit style spirituality . As Ubuntu promotes : ' I am becouse you are .' Here we go : '... What he said was this : the palce where he was standing was center . Each one of us possesed a center that he had grown away from after the birth .To be born is to loose contact with our center, and to grow from childhood to adulthood is to walk away from it. The center is both within and without . It is everywhere . But we must realize it exists , find it , and be with it, for withot center we cannot tell who we are , where we came from and where we are going. ... Nones centre is like someone elses . Find your own center , not center of your neighbours , not center of your mother and father... ' Than he goes on explaining how humans are both circle and its center , and how when there is circle there is 4 live parts to the circle . Rising part east and north , the setting part west and south . Setting part represents water and rising part fire . What interesting he mentiones in fire part is : '...the fire is a rope that links us with our real home that we abondaned when we died into being human . We leave our real homes to come into this life , but there is nothing wrong with this ...' What a concept of dieng into being human ! Love it . Anyway thats all for now .

  21. What are you listening to?

    RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
  22. What are you listening to?

    CAMILLE
  23. Analyse a dream

It sounds to me as if you are healing yourself well ('broke 2 curses ') ,with that getting stronger and gaining deeper life interrelated/methaphysical insights (book about breaking the curses as well as seeing the mum as a witch ). In general being able to deal with something or being able to deal with it much better or a sort of realisation of something/understanding . Just thought I give it a go for fun as I love dreamwork ...
  24. Anyone been to see Mother Meera?

I have been some years ago , it was OK to expirience , she has some power . Didnt expirience any miracle or amazing earth shaterring healing . Dont think I will go again , becouse this is not my thing/ did not feel real connection to her or teaching and the cues are really loooooooong .
