  1. It's strange how my research and practices seem to have come full circle. Back I am with Zen

You mean Theravada (please let's start a Buddhist school war in here, we need it! ):

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theravada

In that page you'll find the essence of what this whole samsaric existence is about (philosophy section).

Btw, for those who send me PMs asking for how to attain siddhis, or testing me, or asking for "fake" help, please abstain from doing this because you are only bringing bad karma to yourselves. Just focus on your mind and practice Vipassana meditation twice a day, if you can:

    http://www.buddhanet.net/meditation.htm

Just leave me alone, I will only give advice related to Buddhist teachings and meditation. Nothing else.

    Good luck.

    Namo Amitabha.

Edit: added new sentence at the beginning.

  2. Good one. Wandering matures you very quickly and helps you understand that attachment is one of the biggest obstacles towards spiritual enlightenment. Herd mentality, or samsaric gravitation, is something one must continuously observe to avoid being trapped by it.

I am sort of wanderer as well but need to work because I have no family support. I have seen any of my family members in the last 10 years. Who cares anyway, we are all alone and in a different journey. I send them my blessings from here, Australia. Hello family :) Lol!

Thanks for sharing this story here in this forum.

    Namaste.

  3. I am willing to put $100 on this story being complete and utter bullshit.

Hey, should we split this MA stuff to a new thread?

Like most of the mystical crap surrounding IMA!

    Agree 100%

If you haven't met anyone with this sort of power why would you trust someone on the Internet saying this and that?

And Chinese are famous for exaggerating & faking this fantasy.

    Pffffff!

Just keep training and enjoy the benefits of Nei Gong.

    Namo Amitabha.

    Edit:

Please, read this insightful article about Chinese culture and MA:

  4. As someone who can't spell/write for shit!

I think you write fine and am enjoying your thread!

Good questions, others will also fine benefit in, i think.

Would rather read something posted with good heart,

    rather than good grammar, LOL!

    Keep it up!

    Shon

Sorry, showing good grammar shows putting effort into something you firmly believe and experienced first hand. Flick through this pages:

  5. I'm interested for a long time to learn Baguazhang, but I have not found any teacher where I live.

Is it possible to learn Baguazhang from a DVD? Does anyone know a good DVD to learn from?

    How about this one?

    Baguazhang - 8 Trigrams Palm

    Thanks,

    ToL

No sorry you need a teacher. No videos will ever show you the subtle footwork and palm changes. Please stop here because if you start making mistakes then you create a bad habit that will be detrimental to your progress.

    Good luck.

    Namo Amitabha.

  6. ...im trying to meditate as often as possible wenever i feel like im getting deaper i fall backwerds and as for standing postures i shake like a broken dryer after 2 seconds any recomendations?...

First thing, could you please tame your impatience and pit some effort into your typing skills.

It is very difficult to follow you.

    Secondly,

To avoid rocking backwards is caused by inadequate sleep as your meditation is basically helping you to fall asleep. This is far from the goal of practicing yoga.

    Lastly,

Typical of anyone who is still in the beginning stages of standing yoga. Try to create a firm root deep into earth by using your intent. Imagine roots growing off your feet and sinking deep into the ground. Also make sure before you start, you rock back and forth with both feet to create a stable position.

    Good luck.

    Namo Amitabha.

  7. May I ask you how old are you?

If not too old if you start Bagua right now you'll release everything! I can assure you that.It is happening to me!

I thought Yoga and Taiji would have changed me completely. How wrong I was. :)

Luo Dexiu is a top teacher of this art and especially Xingyi.

    Good luck.

  8. Looking for Happiness

    By: Lin Ai Wei

Because living beings find it hard to believe in Buddhism, they look to other teachings not realizing that Buddhism actually is in all teachings, and all teachings are in Buddhism. That is, wholesome teachings. It is very difficult for people to actually see wisdom within the writings, or hear the subtle wisdom of the teachings of wise sages. This is why there are myriad methods, teachings with different names.

    oqews1.gif

    Thanks for bringing good karma.

That's why we have people like you putting into easy words the teachings of a Buddha.

Thanks a lot for doing that. :)

    Namo Amitabha.

  9. ok...

i can touch somone without using my physical body by placing there hand inbetween my hands about a foot apart

    "\ | /"

i can heat somone else up with my palm from about 6 inches away(werever im pointing not there whole body)

i do all of this simply by "imagining" my hands leaving my hands and touching whatever

any opinions? (i know this may seem dumb and self explanatory to evryone here but im no zen or book or meditation master so i just dont know, haha)

edit: FYI i only plan on using these things for healing for free :D just need to learn how

i did this to a couple close relatives and friends since then i have stoped, because i realize i honestly dont know exactly what im doing

    how would one practice this?

can you cause negative effects on others or yourself doing this?

It looks that you don't trust yourself. Remove that mind blockage and keep going. Healing is something very personal. It is not taught.

About other siddhis. Well forget about them. Keep helping other people.

Read this page please as it is well related to your case:

  10. Try this:

Get rid of all mirrors in your home and avoid looking at any reflective surfaces for at least 10 years of your life. After that period go grab a mirror and take a careful look at what you are seeing. Of course it would be the "you" you always identified with but in this case would be older and somehow different.

This experiment will prove two things:

    1. Anicca, or impermanence. All samsaric phenomena is subjected to change.

    2. Anatta, no self.

The self we always have identified with is a social product.

I am willing to start this experiment right away but it would be hard once I leave home. As it is hard to avoid reflective surfaces.

Anyone interested in joining this experiment.

    Namo Amitabha.

  11. I have a different viewpoint. There is only one way, IMO, to "develop" Qi.

That is through quieting the mind and training it to become aware of it's connection with the body on a level otherwise ignored. The Qi is always already there. I don't believe that you add more Qi or build up Qi or strengthen Qi, you just tune in to a mind/body/universe connection which the Chinese call Qi. I think Qi is a process or an interaction, not stuff. You become aware of the body in a new way. As that connection strengthens, it can be used for martial and healing purposes among other things.

Sorry but let me disagree. You strengthen your chi with internal development. Internal as jing-chi-shen and 5 elements applied to internal organs. In addition quality of fire/yang chi coming from good food and air quality, being air quality the most important of the two.

The more you cultive the more you'll strengthen the quality of chi you process and the thickness of the spiritual channels. Eventually you'll become a huge channel canalising chi like a volcano. :D

  12. This is another key. The danger these beings present is primarily psychological. just realizing that they can't hurt your body as they are not on it's level gives some more inner stability. Even though that last sentence is not entirely correct. They can hurt your body or make very bad things happen to you (through negative synchronicity) but only when they have attached to you.

    Hi Seth,

I was going to dispute the first part of that statement, 'The danger these beings present is primarily psychological'.

My lady friend told me that this bizarre healing she was involved with was so developed that it actually had the patient pinned against the bed. This man couldn't get up of bed in the morning, like being glued to it. He finally got up but after struggling for a while. He was undergoing immense suffering and his health deteriorated to a great extent.

As I already said the healer required many months of work until she got rid of the "octopus"; the head being the hardest part to remove.

Whether it was psychological or an astral parasite I can't give a definite answer. Who cares anyway, some humans are weaker than others due to karmic development and obviously will go through a lot more suffering.

    Namo Amitabha.

  13. Do you love a Guru or Guru's?

Does a teacher or being inspire your heart to open and flow?

Do you experience transmission from remote or ascended masters?

nb. NOT wanting to discuss how our love of our close family and /or nature works for us, here. This is about Higher Level Beings.

Gautama Buddha, Amitabha, Tara, Kakusandha Buddha, Konagamana Buddha, Padumuttara Buddha...

I show all my deepest respect to all Buddhas for what they have attained hoping I will achieve that goal in this lifetime.

  14. Without our meditation skill highly polished, our qi 's quality can't be upgraded, and , all talks about curing severe diseases or countering aging /death will be groundless .

Although personally I quite dislike meditation skills which start from paying attention to breathing or skeleton viewing ( I classify it as category belongs to visualization ) , they may not be so bad for beginners. However , claiming that they are superb methods are doubtful .

Zen's method is the best , so fantastic it is that you can't describe them in words, not to speak of many sentences ; because of that , a lot of strange methods were used and invented ...however, its recession in history (Chinese ) seemed inevitable . Maybe in the West, with the appearance of new historical situation, new group of audience , there will be a rebirth .

The sadness of Zen Buddhism in Chinese history was : so superb a way it was , so lack of talents a world ( after the Tang Dynasty ) it had to face. It seems only the Taoists have fully absorbed its essence...

There are many meditation methods. Do whichever suits you best. The most important thing in this business is controlling and purifying the mind. Keep a meditative state after meditation.

    :)

  15. Hey very interesting Story

I am curious was the parasite acually a physical thing or an energetic thing -

Reason I ask is because I saw a white jellyfish like creature made of light leave some part of me when I regained consciousness out of sleep/ an altered state -

I also have images of a creature with tentacles wrapped around my heart but this is nothing I have ever seen

before and may just be my imagination

Also curious if you know if Couatl are supposed to exist and Unicorns -

    Thanks

    Ric

    Hi Ric,

Yes that is for real, very real. But energetic, obviously. A negative entity like many others that are attracted to our astral realm. ALWAYS recite the mantra of Avalokiteshvara Oh Ma Ni Pad Me Hum (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyIIObFyK4I) before you go to bed seven times and imagine a red beam of light emitting from your throat into the sky. You need to visualise this beam like a mosquito net totally enclosing your body. You are sleeping within it like a cocoon. I can assure you this protection is a very effective against all negative entitities.

The achievement of the armour protection from negative energies depends on your own earnest efforts to cultivate virtue and get rid of evil. It depends on righteous-chi (righteous thoughts and actions).

Humanity suffers because of lack of moral values. There is no other explanation to it.

Note about unicorns: Read the book "Chronicles of Tao" and the experience of Kwan Saihung after meditating for two years inside a cave.

*I will ask my friend about her encounters with dragons and will give more details in here.

About evil spirits: One of my best friends lives in London knows several very advanced internal martial artists, including this one:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sr3rYrRcNQo

Well he told me that Silat people experience and encounter evil spirits and one has to be very careful with that.

But I stop here as I don't like to discuss this stuff in public. I have said to much already.

Thanks for reading this stuff. Not an ego thing. Just sharing with fellow practitioners on the path some anecdotes.

  16. I have got here a talisman someone gave me in Taiwan from a Taoist ancient lineage of mainland China before the commies took over the Empire.

This drawing heals people with a nasty skin condition, a kind of eczema for which Western medicine has no cure.

You need to draw in in paper using red colour and it must be burnt afterwards.

The healer that gave it to me, a Taiwanese Cancerian female born in the year of the Earth Rooster, used to heal many people in southern Taiwan when she was a child.

    Namo Amitabha.

  17. I met yesterday an extraordinary healer, a woman of a yogic tradition. Here in Australia.

Her practice is simple sitting meditation aiming at pranic flows and maintaining concentration in the third eye.

She vibrates at a very high level and when we met yesterday I could feel her strong chi flow.

She heals people but not in person. She told me her method is at distance, while the patient is in sleep. She enters a state of deep trance then visits the person in need and is capable of seeing inside them and locate what is wrong with them and uses intent and her hands to remove the condition. She mentioned that the most bizarre things she encountered where parasites (a kind of white octopus attached to the brain and with long tentacles that were going down to almost the chest level. It took her months to remove this thing. She said it was extremely difficult as the patient was an old guy with poor health) and numerous small balls of light with a black dot inside another of her patients.

We talked about a range of issues including the poor shape of our current society in terms of spiritual development. We agreed it was caused by human overpopulation and how it has affected the quality of various "chi/prana" flowing on earth: food and air chi as well electromagnetic disturbances which have a direct effect on the pineal gland.

I felt she would fit well the Bodhisattva category of Buddhism as she loves healing and helping those in need, free of charge of course.

I told her about the her experiences with beings of other astral realms. I asked her about dragons. Honestly I have no idea about why I mentioned this mythological creature. She simply told me:

"They are magnificent creatures, simply amazing and live in a astral realm that is next to ours."

I told her "I know they were for real especially when ancient humans depicted them so often in numerous media. I guess mystics in the past were able to see them in their meditations or in a state of trance."

Then we went to discuss about the fact the future of humanity. I said to her:

"I think it doesn't look to good."

She agreed, lots of suffering is about to come, famine and natural disasters will shake Earth in the next 20 to 30 years.

During our talk I looked inside of her and said to her:

"You were a man in your previous life, right?"

    She replied:

    "Yes."

    I asked again:

    "And of German background."

    She replied:

"Yes, during WWII I was put in a concentration camp because of being a gay. It was a traumatic experience."

At one point she felt uncomfortable because I was sending too much "chi" inside of her and she asked me to stop. I apologised to her and promised not to do it again.

Then we went on the topic of why she didn't become a renunciate and put all her effort into attaining Nirvana.

    She said:

"It is not my time yet for my main goal in this life is healing others."

She is 47 years of age but physically has the appearance of a 65 year old person due to the constant flux of chi to heal others. Anyway she doesn't care about her physical appearance anymore.

We all humans have the capability of vibrating at a higher frequency but most remain unawakened. If they just put a bit of time to look within themselves for few minutes a day instead of putting so much effort into material pursuits and sex!

Thanks for reading this story about my encounter with this remarkable healer.

    Namo Amitabha.

  18. No, I don't think I am awakened. But I guess that depends what "awakened" means to you.

Being able to see the truth behind the Dharma. Being able to see beyond physical reality.

What does that mean? You created your own "Buddhist" teaching?

Consciousness after death is carried by a medium (spiritual energy) and shaped by karma, hence a new individual is formed. No ego, no individual soul is carried after but the karmic seeds are.

    Summing up,

    Spiritual energy = karmic energy.

  19. LOL were you aware that being over-opinionated is a "tension" in the mind which detracts from any endeavour of enlightenment.

Are you aware that posting in this forum is robbing you precious time that you could use in achieving your goals?

    You are very funny. :)

This is a forum ans as such we are discussing about a topic. Did I ever say if you don't agree with what I say I would neutralise you with my chi!

    Just settle down, please.

Well said Stig, there are an awful lot of PERIODs on this thread.

What does it mean when we add the word Period to a statement?

Is there something we can learn about ourselves from that?

To me, this is worth investigating.

It's much more interesting than watching someone do Qigong and (with all due respect Patrick) much better than listening to Abba.

It means end of discussion. Poor examples have been given in here. Athletes on roids. What's next a "bodhisattva" high on ketamine??
