  1. Why celibacy and not retention?

Each to their own. It all comes down to how far you are in the path of the spiritual evolution of all karmic beings. Just enjoy what you got and most importantly keep cultivating your spirit according to the Noble EightFold Path, the pinnacle of moral wisdom existing in Samsara. Oṃ Tare Tutare Ture Svaha.
  2. On the brain

No, but thanks a lot. Yes our brains are our karma, our suffering.
  3. Read all the info offered in the links provided. OTH, Five Elements Theory is simply a form of symbolism that really means the following: The interactions between Yin and Yang follow five basic phases or movements of energy: 1. Fire represents energy rising. 2. Water represents energy sinking. 3. Wood represents energy expanding. 4. Metal represents energy solidifying. 5. Earth represents energy that is stable or centered.
  4. Long UFO interview

He was an alien as well, the more I think of it every day I understand what he achieved and others like him in other worlds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2NLQGrbf5U
  5. You are contradicting yourself. Sorry but let me disagree. Form is not as important as you think it is. Achieveing a fully relaxed state is the key to success. It doesn't matter how you stand...as long as you stand relaxed with no force, as qi will put you in "your" correct posture. To the original author, Read this info: http://www.martrix.org/zhan_zhuang1.html Good luck.
  6. Tibetan Yoga Masters

I found these three rare videos in YouTube. Someone did a nice job of adding colour to them: Enjoy.
  7. feng shui practitioner for real?

Initially most capital cities of China were built following Feng Shui principles, namely the traditional system also called asterism Yingshi. That was when China was still a healthy country living in harmony following the Tao. Those who charge that much are just a bunch of thieves. Any wandering Taoist would give you that consultation for free, problem is to find one.
  8. Wise man, stick to that advice. Why? Simply because you live in society and not in a Taoist or Buddhist monastery deep in the Himalayas. Using non-symbolic language: it would be too much internal training for you to be able to cope with.
  9. Tibetan Yoga Masters

If you enjoyed those videos, you should also read Magic and Mystery in Tibet (Alexandra David Neel) available in Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Mystery-Tibet-...7394&sr=1-2 Excellent piece of work, easy to read and funny as well.
  10. ,

If you have the chance living in a non-urban environment away from mental pollution and positive ions, please do so. Btw, keep mushrooms off your diet as they ferment in your stomach and produce toxins. Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables during the Yang months of the year and steamed or lightly fried foods during the Yin months. To clean your karmic negative influence practice daily meditation and Qigong and follow the Noble Eightfold Path: http://www.thebigview.com/buddhism/eightfoldpath.html A good meditation system (amongst many others) is the Golden Light, which is described here: http://www.wuwei.org/Taoism/goldenlight.html There are mudras associated with it but don't worry, as relaxation and visualisation are the most important components. However to achieve good results with this method you should already have a good foundation in Yoga. You can learn how to meditate in here: http://www.buddhanet.net/ebooks_m.htm Read the following two: 1. Practical Vipassana exercises And also after meditation, try to put into practice mindfulness as a way of life: 2. Living Meditation, Living Insight All the best.
  11. Bodhichitta

This is a good method: http://www.martrix.org/zhan_zhuang1.html
  12. for a healthier shape

You are welcome. He is not the only one though, there are others older than him hiding deep in the mountains. Funny, Taoists caring about health and their arts whereas Buddhists about enlightenment and not so much health. It has always been like that since the ancient times. Regards.
  13. for a healthier shape

It all depends on your Sheng Xiao and level of development. There is a saying in Kung-Fu that goes like this: From internal to external and from external to internal. This means that if you are strong internally you'll have to eventually develop external strength to balance both aspects and vice versa. In addition, if you belong to the fire type of person (visit this link to find out) then resistance training will be counterproductive (it will damage your internal organs) when you become advanced as it will make you too Yang. You need to stop then and train your qi more. Anyway if you can train Xingyi and Baguazhang if you ever have the chance. These exercises will make you strong both internally and externally. Watch these vids: And read this: http://en.epochtimes.com/news/7-9-9/59524.html http://www.ronaldjhoffman.com/archives/000311.htm And watch this: Good luck.
  14. Zi Wei Dou Shu

I found this link and need help reading my future according to this branch of Chinese Astrology. http://www.destinyandluck.com/ Here's the result: Thank you!
  15. gong fu

I practice neijia for: Health, fitness and spiritual strengthening. Not interested in fighting at all.
  16. Dying in meditation

I know this issue is described in the book "Opening the Dragon Gate" and also know that in Buddhist tantra is also practiced. Now, I was wondering if it can be done alone in a long spiritual retreat. I have no access to a Taoist or a Buddhist sect as I live in the Western world so I guess this task would be enormous and quite risky. Would like to hear your opinion (especially from some of you more advanced spiritual practitioners like myself)? Regards.
  17. Dying in meditation

What has got the remains of an anencephalic human do with esoteric spiritual practices?
  18. Stand with Tibet

Free your mind About the link. They are pushing for a donation. I doubt they are serving the real interests of the Tibetan people. How many charities we have in this world? Gazillions??? Hmmm...
  19. In front of an audience?? That reminds me of this: Fake.
  20. buddha pyhsiology question.

More than the physical appearance I would bring up he internal changes experienced in the yogi's body: 1. Less need of food 2. Less need of sex (which eventually won't be required at all) 3. Decreased sleep but improved quality sleep time 4. Immune system is strengthened 5. Aging process is slowed down 6. Resistance against pollution, chemical toxins, diseases, food alteration, etc. 7. Perception of reality due to changes in brain structure. Generally speaking the cranium itself gets bigger due to this factor. 8. Strengthening and improvement in the flow of the life force. 8. Siddhis From the physical point of view, I have experienced sinus enlargement, changes in the hand lines and back and spinal column (very Yang). I know a martial artist, Alex Kozma, who believes was poisoned in Thailand with thallium. A normal person would have died right away.He was ill for six months his health is slowly getting back to normal. 22 years of Internal Martial Arts practice and Buddhist meditation did obviously help. Some interesting info in here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jain_Meditation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preksha_Meditation (similar to Buddhist Vipassana) As you can read Buddhism is an evolute of Jainism.
  21. Dying in meditation

Another interesting but brief reading in here: http://moonovermatteo.blogspot.com/2006/03...-decompose.html
  22. Dying in meditation

I found an old link related to this stuff: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1091061/posts There is also a brief view of another lama who died in meditation and depicted in a YouTube vid:
  23. Several years ago someone posted once on a forum an excellent Chinese link but written in English (which also had photographs in it) about a set of exercises to get rid of chi blockages in the head. I don't need them for myself because I know how they are but people I know of don't, and honestly I am too tired to prepare a write up and the necessary diagrams to visually help them understand. That's going to take me ages to do. Problem is that I don't recall the forum and never bookmarked the link. So here I am asking for help just in case someone knows of a similar link and maybe that very link. Anyway I really appreciate your help. Cheers.
  24. Dying in meditation

No, I am not going to take anything. I am not going to risk my practice because of a foolish act. The book doesn't give enough detail for someone to carry the process by themselves. Wait and see if there are more responses to this thread. Regards.
  25. Waterfall Meditation

Not a good idea, that extreme Yin turns into Yang, you know I-Ching fundamentals. You don't want to absorb Yang resulting from extreme Yin. This kind of waterfall has the right amount of Yin energey and a real joy for your entire energetic core.
