  1. tai chi?

Specific movement in Neijia, visualization (a bit), relaxation and breathing in static Qigong.
  2. The Thunderpath?

I will be standing in Wuji for 20 years on top of a mountain. When I return I will show you my power and will charge you $10,000 USD (for something you can achieve by yourselves anyway, ) to be as powerful as I am. LOL!
  3. tai chi?

Doing static work all the time is not healthy. Moving meditation and a martial art like Taiji is a must if you want to enjoy good health from years to come. Btw, Taiji is the highest martial art of all. Very hard to master that's why other Neijia arts like Bagua are helpful because they develop core as well as tendon strength. Read this info: http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/magazine/a...php?article=544 http://www.martialartsplanet.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=53331 Good luck!
  4. Transmissons

Google up for osmosis and see what you come up with. Same principle.
  5. Darkness Retreats

The offer a cheap service in here (just googled): http://www.samadhihermitage.org/cave.shtml More hardcore would be going to your own cave every weekend. If you live in an area that hosts mountains, explore a bit the area and see if you can locate one. In Eastern Tibet they got this: http://www.dzogchenlineage.org/caves.html Very nice!
  6. Honest Food Discussion

Even the healthiest food you can imagine becomes poison (you don't feel the need to eat) when you are becoming very Yin and doing high energetic food. Remember the classics: Live on chi and dew. Or Buddha's advice of one meal a day. It happened to me and I had to reduce seated meditation. I found very difficult to keep up a full-time job quitting food. It was impractical and impossible. I dunno the whole things becomes very complicated when doing intensive meditation. I see know why practitioners become renunciates or those who seek refuge in the mountains away from excess Yang. For those who stay a diet rich in fruit and vegies is a must, preferably the organic type higher in earth's own qi. Regards.
  7. Thien Thu Thien Nhan

It's a bit off-topic but nevertheless very nice to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTKJiP_bdbE I hope you like it.
  8. The Oxherding Pictures

Yes that little tale explains what Buddhism is all about: we all live in an eternal dream. Didn't Zhuangzhi discuss something similar? Thanks for linking it here.

Yes it will die, disappear and fall into oblivion, like you and me, the rest of the members of this forum and the entire website. Others will come one day and start all over again. The cycle never ends. Samsara.
  10. Healing powers

Yes siddhis are a result of moral development and a progression in the spiritual path product of karma, daily meditation and long periods of seclusion away from society's demands. I took the example of Jesus (without entering in the controversy whether he existed or not) and this clip belonging to the great film The Last Temptation of Christ: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPFZSuVydrk Namo Amitabha Buddha
  11. Yes, amongst the concept of anicca (impermanence), dukkha (unsatisfactoriness) and anatta (non-self), but the most essential one is that there is no continuum of awareness; hence an eternal immutable soul or Atman as Hinduism proclaims. There is no doubt about that due to blasting effect of anicca on anything contained within Samsara. Regards.

  13. Neanderthal Legacy

Hi, Let me chime in. Yes chi is very powerful when nourished and has a direct effect in our spirit. I experience same stuff, especially giving up food. However I also work full-time (my job not being exactly a librarian) and I need food to carry on otherwise I wouldn't be able to cope with it. I also have to drive near an hour to go to work and traffic is a bitch most of the time. Really I am getting tired of the whole thing and willing to become a wandering monk in China and go through cave dwelling practice. Maybe one day. Who knows. Regards.

Mods lock this up, please. I offer myself as a Mod It's pointless arguing over and over the same old thing: This method is better than yours. They are all good. All rivers end up in the sea the only difference is that some have more turns than others. Regards.
  15. Best Chakra meditation

I think you should read this excellent book: Qigong Empowerment: A Guide to Medical, Taoist, Buddhist, Wushu Energy Cultivation. Liang, S.Y., Wu, W.C. & Breiter-Wu, D. (1997) They call it the "Qigong Bible." Link: http://www.amazon.com/Qigong-Empowerment-M...n/dp/1889659029
  16. Neanderthal Legacy

  17. If you haven't seen it go ahead. Google removed the film initially, now it seems to be up and running again. Great news: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=65...mp;q=&hl=en Excellent film. Destruction of a spiritual culture by another spiritual culture. Very tragic. Regards.
  18. It is a question that has been lingering in my mind for a long time and addressed in another forum. Different opinions were given but no consensus was reached. Maybe it will happen in here. Ignorance, delusion, karma, demonic influence in our planet ( ), dark side of Tao? Why a rotten apple spoils the whole basket and not vice versa? That is why a good apple will never cure a whole basket of rotten apples? What is the ultimate reason? Personally, it is something beyond my comprehension.
  19. Mind explosions

It happened to me yesterday for first time after reading this experience by another practitioner in another spiritual forum. However I lost that link and can't remember what was discussed in there. My guess is that is related to crown chakra stimulation, either that or removal of a latent mind blockages. Any ideas? Cheers.
  20. Mind explosions

Like a big flash of light while meditating and with a gentle sound that is difficult to describe. That is why I used the term "explosion." I hope this description helps. Regards.

Read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_stages_of_enlightenment Forget about silly Siddhis. Cultivate the Dharma, morality, selfless help to other human beings and control your minds. One who is able of conquering their own mind is the greatest warrior. If you achieve this you will have taken a closer step to enlightenment. Regards.
  22. I wouldn't look into the micronutrient side of things that much. Just eat a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables to cover them all. Btw, food intake can't match natural environment deep cleansing: Good luck.
