  1. I am not criticising you for that (maybe yes ). I also wear a ba gua pendant on my neck. And honestly means nothing (or maybe not ).
  2. Has anyone stayed at a spiritual retreat?

Silent retreats are the way to go. Damn tough if it is your first time but let me tell you something: the fruits will appear soon. Satipatthana Vipassana in the Thai tradition is what suits me: walk-sit (in equal parts)-acknowledge, walk-sit-acknowledge, walk-sit-acknowledge...It has a profound transformation in the individual. Very deep. I just spent a 21 day silent retreat in northern Thailand and loved it. I will return again for sure. if interested send me a PM and I can give you more details. Good luck whatever you decide to do. Edited: You need to come back to reality unless you decide to become a renunciate.
  3. Codex Alimentarius

I have seen the future, globally not only locally: http://math.berkeley.edu/~galen/popclk.html
  4. Indeed not: Source: http://www.giveshare.org/BibleStudy/217.realfaceofjesus.html I also find anecdotic the Buddha being depicted as a God or a fat laughing man (this last one is a Chinese abomination): I share the approach of smashing Buddha images, if you happen to find one, derived from this popular Zen motto: "If you find the Buddha, kill the Buddha," (Linji Yixuan).
  5. Hi there, I would like to know if there is/are anyone moderating the Taoist discussion forum. I believe we need that kind of work in there because there are some individuals that are trolling some of the threads and that behaviour should stop. Those people are better off looking for forums in which big egos, high levels of testosterone, ignorance and delusion are prevalent. If you belong to this sort, I will suggest you doing a Google search which will easily lead you to this kind of environment. In addition, I would like to offer my services as a forum moderator. Thanks, DC.
  6. False realizations

They are not permanent anyway so don't worry about them too much. Keep going and be mindful ALL OF THE TIME. Vipassana is the highest meditative practice. PERIOD. Let go. Good luck.
  7. Silat

Pendekar Sanders and Pendekar Suwanda in action: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=ABXY1fn4z08&...feature=related I have no idea of this art at all. Love to learn it though, maybe in the future. What it seems is they both are using a cobra technique. Not sure. Do Silat people invoke the spirit of the animal prior or during the fight? Enjoy.

  9. qi gung books

Start with this one: A Complete Guide to Chi-Gung by Daniel Reid http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/157.../webdetoxcom-20 The best ever-written (but too complex in certain parts which warrants direct supervision) is the following: Qigong Empowerment: A Guide to Medical, Taoist, Buddhist, Wushu Energy Cultivation by Shou-Yu Liang & Wen-Ching Wu http://www.amazon.com/Qigong-Empowerment-M...0624&sr=1-1
  10. Watermelon is very good for the kidney spirit as well.
  11. He Jinbao's Bagua

The following article is a must read for anyone interested in Bagua or a Bagua student themselves: http://www.chinafrominside.com/ma/bagua/machuanxu.html It explains everything. FORGET ABOUT LEARNING BAGUAZHANG WITHOUT THE SUPERVISION OF A INSTRUCTOR TRAINED ACCORDING TO THE TRADITIONAL WAY. Note: Travelling to Beijing to learn/improve Bagua skill is like a pilgrimage to the Mecca. It should be done by any serious student of the art. Edited: typo.

  13. More nice places conducive to spiritual liberation: All these photos were taken in the Pyrenees.
  14. You are mixing Zen stuff with Taoism. Taoism is not about illusion. It's about experiencing the flow of nature: yin and yang and returning to the source. This can only be experienced in solitude away from humanity and grounded between mother earth and father heaven. London won't help you return to the source, excess yang energy is deluding you, for sure. Listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pejkQMNxdg Practice.

  16. Milk in the UK

Answer is lactose intolerance plus all the junk that cows are fed with. Anyway I don't understand about the West's obsession about taking animal milk? Why is it necessary. I have stopped taking animal milk 6 years ago and never felt better in my life. My stomach was constantly bloated because of cow milk and; I experienced rumbling sounds in the lower belly; flatulence as well as good dosis of phlegm every morning. Here's a pic of myself proving I am not trolling this thread (and let alone for ego purposes): Healthy looking individual that doesn't consume animal milk. I repeat one more time: There is no need to consume animal milk for an adult human. Same goes for vegetable milk, no need either. Personally I consume soy milk simply because it gives a better taste to the fruit shakes I prepare every day.
  17. Agree, but the ugly face. Also, remember that Taoism was developed in the mountains. Forget about achieving it in a slum of Rio de Janeiro. Edited: typo.
  18. Milk in the UK

Why humans have to go against the Tao with everything they do. In this case Westerners and their unhealthy habit of consuming animal milk beyond infancy. Do adult animals carry this practice? The answer is simple: No! Why should humans act differently? Just look at our animal brothers and sisters, they can teach us great lessons about the Tao. To the OP, Please if you decide to drink milk there are healthier alternatives: 1. Soy milk 2. Rice milk 3. Almond milk (yummy!) 4. Coconut milk (excellent if you strictly follow a Thai/Far East diet otherwise in moderation due to its high saturated fat content). Anyway I drank this milk quite often when I was recently in Thailand and it was delicious. Cow milk is poison. Look at what it will provide you with: 1. Pituitary hormones (PRL, GH, TSH, FSH, LH ACTH Oxytocin) 2. Steroid hormones (Estradiol, Estriol, Progesterone, Testosterone, 17-Ketosteroids, Corticosterone, Vitamine D) 3. Hypothalamic hormones (TRH, LHRH, Somatostatin, PRL-inhibiting factor, PRL-releasing factor, GnRH, GRH) 4. Thyroid and Parathyroid hormones (T3, T4, rT3, Calcitonin, Parathormone, PTH peptide) 5. Gastrointestinal peptides (Vasoactive intestinal peptide, Bombesin, Cholecystokinin, Gastrin, Gastrin inhibitory peptide, Pancreatic peptide, Y peptide, Substance P and Neurotensin) 6. Growth Factors (IGF's (I and II), IGF binding proteins, Nerve growth factor, Epidermal growth factor and TGF alpha, TGF beta, Growth Inhibitors MDGI and MAF, and Platelet derived growth factor 7. Others... (PGE, PGF2 alpha, cAMP, cGMP, Delta sleep inducing peptide, Transferrin, Lactoferrin, Casomorphin and Erythropoietin No wonder why every year young girls' breasts are getting bigger. Edited: lots of typos, lol!
  19. The real deal!

Just updating this thread with a series on the Tantra of Gyuto: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoAIGXdfDrY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VutWqTa6t_8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOiqwTR2gxo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqptuWo5VVU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsNUaEkzvFE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrrdfEnu2PE This material is of historical importance and should be preserved! Truly amazing. Om mani padme hung.
  20. Silat

h.uriahr, orb. Remember the following force is always watching. NOTHING escapes from it, only a Buddha. Trolling definitively is not allowed in this forum, thanks.
  21. Imagine living in that beautiful place: Lhotse (Tibet - Nepal border) Hmmm, I can feel the spirit of the mountain from here. So wise. I can't wait to get there.
  22. strong emotions and meditation

That is all the garbage placed by "society" in the lesser spirits that rule your organs. Keep going, the process is going to take you sometime.Years maybe depending on how much poison is in there. Do you practice Chi Kung, walking meditation, IMA? They will speed up the cleaning process. Good luck!!!
  23. The real deal!

Hi Hagar, It has already been linked here: http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=5072&hl= This Tibetan Buddhist Westerner is also very spiritual: http://www.thetaobums.com/The-Connection-b...ains-t8852.html Post no 4. Waking up. Society is caught up in a web of delusion which itself keeps of maintaining. All the unawakened people I met all the time think I am crazy. Let them think that, they are the ones who are not normal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohyWKI8JKAs...feature=related Regards.
