  1. I love this love letter to the Femenine: Kundalini as the Universal Communion...

    so it is :)

    having said this

    I sincerely feel that this man below is speaking about an even later and more mature stage perhaps not even dependent upon but probably faster forced upon state through kundalini awakening and subsequent struggle and suffering;

and yes I am totally in line with those who do not recognize kundalini as a force that goes up from and thorugh the perennium and up the spine. It IS an electro magnetic current that declines and ascends through nadis and chakras, trimming and tuning all the energy centers. http://www.newbrainn...ce_of_Awakening

and the way it overtakes you it may feel like somethin is taking over/taking control and it literally does. but no `thing` hits your perennium. it is the shakti or kundalini force that vibrates, takes control and coordinates. I will continue to underline it does NOT go up the spine, but inside closer to the core of the body. think of the dan tien point lying slightly angled inside the body little lower than the navel..this point is activated and seems to be an ignition point.

  2. I base my life on the outcome of the axis between my instinctual intuitive constructions and their enduring outcome. This is of course to say that reflections are not solely subjective. Personal subjective assumptions are weighed upon both appearant frequency as well as symbolic logic and thus constantly trialled. Like bat signals ;0)

In addition I like to listen and gather information..so..to your informationthere are a few interesting threads on fengh shui here if you searchi..Taomeow I believe has contributed.

I just popped in since I am looking at a fossil right now, alledgedly from Himalaya, it is a mollusk and it is said to have most fortunate feng shui properties..and is shaped like the golden mean. :)

  3. With the events and circumstances of late it has become obvious to me that I cannot in all conscience maintain my position as a moderator.

I won't go into minute detail of the reasons behind my decision, enough to say that my views on what is fair and accountable in terms of moderation is incompatible with elements within the moderation team.

This is truly the most saddest and disappointing moment for me with my involvement with TaoBums.

    Regards

    Stigweard

    Hi Stigweard.

Have seen some ripples, not dived in to learn any particulars.

Sincerely hope your disappointment turns into appreciation

real soon. I believe i remember voting for you as moderator,

now perhaps you will feel good about this opportunity to

"frequent the forum like any regular member - or not as you wish ".

:) <3 please forgive me for commenting

  4. I just did some brainwave entrainment while charting some biofeedback, namely heart rate and skin conductance. Just for giggles, I tried some reverse breathing. Low and behold, my heart rate and skin conductance dropped while doing it! Skin conductance continued to fall (indicating a relaxation response) as focus your awareness on your skinlong as I kept it up. When I returned to regular breathing, both heart rate and conductance went up.

    Interesting.

Very interesting recordings. How did this exercise make you feel? Any physical detecteable sensation? For how long did you continue the reversed breathing? Did you focus your awareness on you skin?

    This is most fascinating!

Personally I've had the experience of whole body acting like an autonomous pump, breath almost convulsive in nature, humidity being massaged, transferred to all internal layers and excess humidity finally transported out to surface, pores opening and skin breathing, /or reversing charge. Don't know how to put it otherwise.

Seems quite attractive to have this going on smoothly through the day...Certinly would love to learn and master that.

  6. One form of Taoist magic, Fu Jyeo 符咒, is similar in principle and is subject to the same misinterpretations and misappropriations as all forms of magic.

Magic is based on the premise that power plus the sustained alignment of intent creates an outcome. In order to sustain intent and to generate power "tools" were introduced -- spoken and written words, symbols, physical components, physical actions/practices etc. However it all comes back to the underlying formula:

    Power + Intent = Outcome

    How to generate power:

    • Dissolving unnecessary investments of energy into artificial personality constructs which both frees up energy and stops leakages.
    • Vitalizing and nourishing Jing, Qi, and Shen through traditional Taoist practices like Qigong, Neidan etc.
    • "Summoning" energy of natural energy sources (sun, moon, stars, earth, etc.) and deities through pray, ritual, offerings

    How to sustain intent:

    • Articulating an intent through a written word. Interesting that the art of stringing together letters (originally magic symbols to signify spheres or phases of energy exactly like the I Ching) is called "spelling"
    • Using physical components (i.e. crystals, herbs, charms etc.) to be anchors of intent
    • Performing rituals that achieve the purpose of focusing intent

Most people fail in magic, regardless of which tradition, because they either can't generate energy or can't sustain intent or both.

    :D

    the magic

is it dependant on the amount of power in the "object" it id directed towards ? :)

  7. I've heard some statistic rumour that one out of four is bi, it's just our social prejudiced environment that's holding most from acting on impulses as we grow up.

    :)

whatever..the whole Idea wheter it is ok or not is ridiculous superfluous to me.

the gay and lesbian friends I have ARE really good people. I guess they've been through some tough times and learned to cultivate compassion?

  8. I am reading this thread and I come across the word POWER power powerpower

say where is it? What is it? What's it for?

I discovered that being less reactive and angry gave me more

    POWER

but it seemed to benefit everyone else as well.

but I am just an old ass who invited the drunkard in decades ago.

he told me I was an ass then and that he¨'d spare me because of my naivite. guess I still am. an ass.

whats that POWER you speak about?

    can I have some?

  9. I am not expecting anything specific. I am just expecting ... at least on a subconscious level. We all do; else, practice would have no meaning. There's always motive followed by result. That's how it works.

you are just not able to listen. not to yourself nor to me. you just fill up with more and more and more. listen this listen that. chat chat. try psycotherapy.

just like you say you want SOME THING to happen. :)

    SOMETHING

    SOME

    THING to happen.

    and you start out with the very intent;

    SUPPOSE TO

    make it simple

    no supposing

    WANT NOTHING

  10. Hello again!

It's been a while since I posted here. I am trying to practice what is commonly called 'objectless' awareness, meaning I simply try to be aware without being aware of any particular object. Thing is, nothing seems to be happening when I do this. There is only boredom, so I feel like giving up.

If something could inspire me - some remarkable experience or something, anything at all - then I could keep going. Else, I find it extremely frustrating to just sit down and do nothing. What I need is results. Has anyone practiced this and how long did it take, and what did you do?

Some advice, especially from those who've gone through this, would be appreciated and might keep me from giving up.

    Alfa

ok..seems I have to answer my own question.

now what do you expect will happen when

supposed sitting practising objectless awareness you are actually just sitting wanting something to happen?

Excuse me for asking you this but

    Why are you doing it?

  12. I attended recently a one day workshop with this guy: amazing, exquisite, beautiful, soulful, mischievous, MAGICAL..:REAL

very sweet very promising indeed. somehow it I feel it reflected some of the vibe and message coming from this person

    :) what do you think?

  13. Sure, I will share. For many years now, especially after I started with energy works, the feeling that fabrics of reality is not so consistent as it seams to be, is getting stronger by day. For example, I'm aware somehow of these doors that you can open practically anywhere. In thin air. In colors on my carpet. In smoke. Sound... And that always got my attention. Best to put it, whole reality to me is like one huge waving. So naturally it happened for me to just be seduced by those feelings, and on couple of those times I've been able to concentrate on that feeling, and the weirdest things occurred then. Suddenly, all sounds became buzzing, I blurred my sight, and after that I skipped an hour or so. Maybe more. And there was no alien guy near me, but I did saw a little butterfly....

Today I listened to a star soul speak and it made my heart move like a butterfly, the vibrations ignited a Butterflyheart. :)

  14. Somebody is a bad boy... No dinner, go straight to bed...

    Mel

    :)

    Madonna

mia..I certainly wouldn't call the boy bad and send him to his room.. ;)

    btw I'm female :)

Did you see the movie Avatar? Pop into the kunlunthread..maybe you find

various meditational sitting single or dual crosslegged meditations to be charging and grounding?

  15. Hi Mel. My arms go up in the air, too. :)

I dunno what is, it's something like receiving and being open. Embracing.

I might be concerned if my legs start doing it too...;)

    legs receiving openly embracing..

    ...:))

    hm.

    sweet.

  16. I feel that it's the "light" of awareness illuminating unconscious potential. For instance when a saint with deep awareness, a person who has illumined their own unconscious and made it conscious comes in contact with another person, they are able to connect to another on that level they have illumined within them self. If they have the ability to control the wattage of that powerful awareness, they can awaken through this light of awareness the hidden, unconscious potential in another person, thus "shaktipat." Basically, they illumine your closet and through penetrative awareness they take you there as well as your awareness follows that space made by them within you, starting your process and so all those hidden karmas start coming to the surface. Of course to be receptive to this as well takes some cracks in your own karmic shell that are congruently connected with the particular saint you come into contact with, otherwise... you won't experience the saint's saintliness or your own in their presence. You might even experience all your negativity hit you in the face and you might even blame the saint for it.

When a person does intense practice, they bring awareness into their own unconscious and thus illumine their own hidden potential, starting the process of seemingly automatic unraveling. It's the same way that the Buddhists say the big bang happens. The dormant potential left over from the last universe after the big crunch of it, gets churned by the awareness of the first born beings, known in many religions as the "gods" or "god" who have the merit to be first born and have first sentience (self awareness) in this universe, and... bang! The universe starts it's churning from subtle energy dimensions into physical energy dimensions. It's of course a lot more complicated than this, with all the different ways awareness can illumine the unconscious and how each individual has a unique closet of hidden potential, but I think that's the nutshell.

My ideas about Kundalini being an independently intelligent entity does not exist anymore after coming to understand the Buddhas teaching. So, I don't see kundalini in the same light as I used to. I think there is a much subtler process going on that one can become aware of rather than using the excuse, "it's her will", or "it's gods will."

    Indeed!

thanks I really appreciate your reflections

  17. With all this talk of Kundalini awakening, I thought I'd offer a different point of view.

Kundalini cannot be awakened any more than the blood flow can be awakened. You can become aware of your blood flow, but blood flow is always there and it doesn't need to be awakened. Kundalini is also always there and requires no awakening. In fact, thinking that Kundalini needs awakening can be a cognitive block, because if you believe in awakening you will be looking for awakening. And upon not finding it, you might conclude you have no Kundalini. Or worse, you might mistake some energy disturbance for "awakening." Imagine if you believe that blood flow has to be awakened. Due to the normality and mundanity of the blood flow you don't notice it. Then one day your heart skips a beat and flutters for 5 minutes. This is not exactly healthy, but you can take this for blood flow awakening and begin celebrating it. That's not exactly a good thing.

The awareness of anything, including of subtle energies in the inner being, is always a potential. As one's intention and attention settle on the energy, it naturally becomes more apparent over time. As your attention and intention drift away, the feelings of energy naturally pacify. That's how it is with all phenomena. So for example, if you begin paying attention to ghosts and if you intend to find them, eventually you'll begin seeing and finding ghosts. Then, if you turn your attention away from that and turn your intent away from the ghosts as well, the sightings dwindle, settle into the periphery and eventually disappear altogether. That's the magic of mind.

There is more to it of course. For example, intent has to be conjoined with beliefs that are aligned. If you intend something you dramatically disbelieve, nothing will happen. But as long as your beliefs allow it, attention and intent summon and disperse all phenomena without the need to formally awaken them.

It's like mold. You don't need to introduce mold into bread to get it to grow. The mold-potential is ever-existing. Just subject the bread to the right conditions and mold grows. You don't have to awaken the mold. The mold is there at all times. The same thing with diseases. We carry every disease in our body at all times but none of them manifest usually. When conditions are appropriate, diseases begin manifesting without any kind of awakening, initiation or formal introduction. That's why to be healthy it's not that you must avoid germs, it's that your immune system must be strong. Germs are always there. In fact germs are your friends as long as your immune system is healthy. If your immune system is healthy you can eat clods of dirt and rotten meat and not get sick. Unfortunately our spoiled, over-protected coddled modern lifestyle has damaged our immune systems somewhat, so we have lost some of these abilities.

There is no awakening of anything.

I love this. at the same time I know that I can become aware of/realize something..in a flash or..slowly. it happens all the time.

I followed Tao Semko's talk on Kap about kundalini, - simply marvelously clear.
