  1. Thanks! Hermit’s Peak inferno is at 301k acres this morning. There seems to be no stopping it. Taos and Angel Fire are both under evacuation status. Could happen at any time. Wildfires probably don’t exist given there is no one to experience it. https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/
  2. I’m out in Pecos Canyon on a job site and can give an example later. The raging Hermit’s Peak inferno is not far away. The village of Pecos is threatened.
  3. Delta brainwaves are associated with these states. Advanced meditators exhibit these deep brainwave states.
  4. That is why authentic transmissions are non-verbal.
  5. That evades my question and point. Answering a question with a question doesn’t bode well.
  6. I have a problem with that statement. Why? How does one know consciousness if one is unable to experience it? Implies an a priori knowledge by a sentient being at some point in time. I suppose you are falling back on the no self philosophy as a foundation?
  7. Therefor, beyond non-dual, no subtle energy body exists?
  8. Please elaborate more. My experience that I shared before was energetic. Although, some may disagree that are from the same tradition.
  9. It was a great shop. I believe they are just an online retailer now.
  10. No effort simply means that the primordial state is prior to any conditioning and beyond conceptual analysis. It is ubiquitous in all realms including this universe. The material world seems to be solid matter, but is space with energy fields that appear to be solid. As far as any transmission that I received from Norbu, this is how it began. I was in Fields Books in San Fransisco way back in 1989 when it all started. I picked up a book titled "The Crystal and The Way of Light" by Namkhai Norbu. I can't explain it, but suffice it to say, I received a transmission when I picked up the book. Then at Synergia Ranch in Santa Fe 6 months later it happened again. The actual transmission only took about 1 second each time. The real reason I was in San Francisco was that I was in the middle of a divorce.
  11. Actually there should be no effort in realizing the primordial state. You might get the primordial transmission from a teacher, or even a transmission text. If I remember correctly the link I posted is a transmission text. BTW, a teacher could be many things and not necessarily human.
  12. This text describes the shock that I felt. See my previous post. https://www.amazon.com/Heart-Attack-Sutra-New-Commentary-ebook/dp/B01M00FZWF/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3OXF2L9CCRBW&keywords=Heart+Attack+Sutra&qid=1652809678&s=books&sprefix=heart+attack+sutra%2Cstripbooks%2C137&sr=1-1
  13. Dualism in my way of thinking is more akin to Aristotelian logic or binary thinking. Throw out the outdated concept of non dual/dualism and realize unlimited potential.
  14. Norbu talked a lot during the ten day retreat. However, the real transmission was nonverbal and very easy to miss. Didn't require one to ponder, think, ruminate, analyze, question, meditate or whatever!
  15. It's lost in emptiness.
  16. Hmmmm! 22 pages and no answer yet.
  17. Norbu stated, there is no difference between samsara and nirvana. I still have the tape in my partner's art studio. What we do we do ? Discuss it here!
  18. There are other forms of pointing, but will not be depicted here.
  19. Pointing out is different than a pointer.
  20. I didn't state I believed language was absolute, but there are many that do. Arguing with myself? That is a really low accusation!
  21. Thanks! That looks right to me.
  22. You just proved to yourself that language is relative. Language is understood differently depending on how one has been taught or is predisposed to a certain way of communicating and perceiving. E.g. my main mode of understanding is visual feeling, probably classified as synesthesia. When one is parroting emptiness as some absolute verbal experience I feel it in my entire being and that includes visually, not verbally! However, my interpretation is a universe away from what your are attempting to convey. If one reads Snellgrove's "The Hevajra Tantra" he clearly states that uneducated Tibetans that were introduced (circa 800 years) to Sanskrit Tantra's didn't have the education or background knowledge to understand Sanskrit. So what happened was a bastardized form of Sanskrit combined with Tibetan and was then introduced as a new form of spiritual language which seems to be linguistic imperialism. It is dominate even today in Tibetan Lama teachings even though it is full of errors.
  23. By linguists, Korzybski et al. Language is relative, not absolute. That is why this business of incessantly positing emptiness which has different meanings (see Oxford and Webster), and is always relative to the context, culture etc. Every English speaker that has taken Tibetan teachings parrot emptiness ad infinitum instead of conveying what it means. It has become a popular elitist buzz word.
  24. Language is believed to be an absolute description of reality. Not so!
  25. Emptiness points? In what way does conceptual emptiness point? Pointing is a physical act. Self doesn't interfere in experience? I asked my partner what she thought of your post. She hung out with the Advaita groups for years and found it to be problematic in that a "self" is desperately trying to prove "no self." Or, to use the mind to discredit the mind. In all my years taking teachings from Tibetan lama's I heard about no self and emptiness ad nauseam, and felt as if I was being brain washed! That is why I left the Tibetan Lama Dharma King cult! BTW, I don't include Norbu in that bunch.
