  1. In spite of what many think, we are an EM field (light) which is complex and not separate from the biosphere in any way. What if Dr. Hunt is correct that passivity leads to cancer? In Ken Wilbur's book "Spiritual Choices" he posited data that meditators have a higher cancer and heart disease rate than non meditators. Why? the spiritual path leads for the most part to abject passivity and suppressed emotions. Many traditions view emotions as poisons. Remember my previous posts on heart arrhythmia etc. which was caused by so called energy work? The only way I survived was with intense emotion and no passive acceptance! I won't go into the details here, but it was will power and emotion that saved my ass!
  2. I would recommend doing some reading on this as opposed to proceeding from incorrect conclusions.
  3. We are discussing non-dual and duality.
  4. Depends how one feels about being bitten by a deadly snake. Calm or freak out?
  5. The final Star Wars movie "The Rise of Skywalker" delved into duality and non-duality. For those that paid attention, phowa or transference of consciousness, was an important component. Teachings can be anywhere, at any time.
  6. Dr. Wilhelm Reich conducted extensive research on emotional suppression being a cause of chronic disease that ties to Dr. Hunt's research. His work also concluded that emotional suppression underlies fascism. The quest to realize non-duality may not resolve emotional suppression.
  7. Exactly. Non-dual/nonjudgemental as some perceive it is abject passivity. A very dangerous path!
  8. If you bothered to read her research it is clear that she is not that rigid. There are variables in the EM field that must be taken to account.
  9. In terms of coherent/incoherent Dr. Hunt described coherency EM as a highly organized laser beam. The opposite would apply to incoherent. Both states are not separate, but compose the complete EM system where change is of primary importance. E.g. a healthy heart rhythm exhibits the spectrum of coherent to incoherent. Without incoherent fluctuations, the heart will go into arrest.
  10. Thank you for posting this!
  11. Thanks for posting it. I had one very long conversation with her by phone a few years before she passed on. I learned a lot about her work with scalar waves that she researched for healing etc. Dr. Hunt was a brilliant educator.
  12. @schroedingerscat I have a few things to add that you may want to weight in on, but need to go to the store and visit one clients house.
  13. Thanks for putting some science into the equation here. Dr. Valerie Hunt professor at UCLA conducted quite of bit of measurements for what she termed the "human energy field." What she found was a complex field of coherent/incoherent EM fields. Variables such as the environment, emotion, health, etc. will have an effect on a complex dynamic "human energy field." Her work is far too much to discuss here, but Dr. Hunt was a traditional scientist in neurophysiology. She started this work from a students urging, by accident.
  14. I still don't get where you are coming from given the horrific abuses by the patriarchy over thousands of years. Slaughter to the max by male politicians, Catholic Church priests, Islam etc. All brought to you by the male patriarchy with the main theme of dominance over women.
  15. Trungpa's crazy wisdom is the Western cowboy behavior contrasted from the conservative rule oriented monastic environment he was raised in.
  16. Are you positing from a Judeo Christian perspective? Male abusiveness is a way of caring for someone? Is that what you are stating?
  17. A tap on the shoulder from whom?
  18. "More to come." I always wonder about that. I forgot to mention that I had really bad heart arrhythmia for years until it finally calmed down. EKG didn't find any underlying problem. Hope you don't need to go through any more heart clearing!
  19. โ€˜What group are you involved with? Sufi?
  20. Here in the US there are right wing Republican women that enforce the rules of the patriarchy. Usually have little choice, given they are usually married to abusive men or were raised in such an environment. Further, religion ideology usually holds sway as in can in any tradition, even non-dualism.
  21. I read both books back in the late 80โ€™s/early 90โ€™s. I do recall that her teacher put what she called divine fire love in her physical heart for purification purposes. She wrote about pain and immense suffering that her teacher demanded she open up to as a path to non attachment, divine love. When she asked her teacher for permission to take heart medication he would not allow it. I went through a similar event the likes of which I will never forget. Hot fire in my physical heart for a few minutes, I looked gray and washed out and almost died. My physical body was literally on fire for two years until the heat diminished and one person I knew at the time could feel the heat at a distance of 5โ€™ away. The reason for my intense suffering was for heart purification or so they claimed. The spiritual quest can and will cause physical and emotional problems for anyone at any time. Not all wine, bliss and roses. https://www.amazon.com/Irina-Tweedie/e/B001KCQV5A/ref=dp_byline_cont_pop_book_1
  22. What I have trouble with is that these teachings were developed and taught by men. More of the same old patriarchy for thousands of years. Priests in skirts.
