Are there reconized phasesone moves trough on the path to the LIGHTHaribol posted a topic in General Discussion For instance, if you are on the path to initiation, is there a 1st, 2st, 3st etc. stage to this, that can be mapped? And can this map help shed light on where you are, what to do and what comes next?

Anthropological Types of People Living in Los AngelesHaribol replied to Lois's topic in The Rabbit Hole @Lois what I find more interesting than listing up various ethnic groups and their percentage, and concluding that LA is diverse, is reflections on how you think said diversity has impacted the place.

Haha, more than Ā«in the field,Ā» I was a complete lunatic at times šš I wonder tho, is this perhaps a confrontation (and hopefully) cleansing of oneās own demons? Perhaps a way to get back in touch with a more authentic version of yourself? Individuation, sort of. And also, perhaps (and now I am useing terms I am not completely comfortable, but I think you know quite well) crossing the abyss and Ā«the dark night of the soulĀ»? There is this friend I have (or had, Iām honestly not sure, but I am afraid he is past tense now) who I saw as good guy at heart. Buuuut⦠he was seriously messed up at times as well, as he had this extremely violent side to him. I never witnessed it personally, but it well known that he ended up in loads of fights and would do stuff like money extortion and take (extremely violent) revenge on people on behalf of other people. What was a little disturbing about it tho, was that⦠Iām certain he loved it. Violence, that is. I was never able to bridge that side of him with the version I knew, tho. He grew up in a hell of a household tho, beaten the shit out of reguarly by his countless stepbrothers and drug abuse and god knows what else, so I guess that might be why⦠I havenāt seen him in about three months or so. In the last few weeks prior to this, he went completely bonkers. Last time he visited, he left his backpack with a notebook in it. As time went by, I started contacting people that knew him, if they knew what he was up to. In the first month or so, they said that he was going crazy and stuff. After a while tho, they just started to avoid the question or tell me they hadnāt heard from him. Iām afraid they know exactly where he is tho. Or more precisely, where he is not⦠I opened the notebook from the back pack he left behind⦠«black magicĀ». Only two words in the entire note book, and yeah⦠«black magicĀ»ā¦

Perhaps I shouldāve asked what you mean by the term, before responding?

I mean, I think I understand where you coming from. I myself have many times read meaning into coincidences that in hindsight borders on the psychotic. But I believe that is partly due to the in built or conditioned assumption I carried that the world functioned mechanically, so when I started experiencing a large amount of synchronicities that I just couldnāt honestly explain or discard as coincidences, I kind of lost it due to not having a framework to view these things (I believe). If Iāve had a more Ā«delay judgementĀ» and Ā«there is more to life than + and -Ā« attitude, perhaps Iād be able to just role with it and not loose mind. Do I make sense?
-
I like that. I think trying to Ā«sciencefyĀ» how and why synchronicity is, is pointless, as the very concept is almost an attempt to put a name on a process that is⦠well⦠mysterious, and does not obide by the rules of scienceā¢ļø

There is no other choice Unfortunately, it was his love for bears that brought «grizzly man» to his doom. He did live his legend tho, no one can deny that.

I used to enjoy those survive alone in the wild quite a lot. Like Bear Grylls and shows like that. But than I watched one of them visit my homeland (Norway), and he went on and on about how he had to be on the watch for polar bears. Amount of polar bears (on the mainland): 0. Literally zero. He also talked about how harsh the weather was and these horrible storms and stuff⦠but by the end the production grew tired of waiting for all the horrors so they decided to simulate it with a giant fan instead haha. Still fascinating tho, explorers and adventures and free souls who goes on these sorts of journeys, if they are legit. The below is a clip of Lars Monsen. Very likeable fellow, and went on all sorts of expeditions that got televised and is a very beloved personality here. I like how he speaks English to Canadian bears. š Bears are unimaginably powerful tho, zero doubt about that. This clip I like quite a lot: And here is a, obviously extinct, spieces named short faced bear: On the topic of bears, I could share the most hilarious conspiracy on the origin and symbolism of pandas š¼, but I think itās a little to political in nature for sensitive souls. F it, you are grown ups, Iāll put the tinfoil in the spoiler:

Mhm I think these moments of.. what to call it⦠moments when one deeply connects with the divine are fleeting. We might be souls, but we are also man. Chimps with a divine spark. And I donāt see anything wrong with being human as well. Ofc, I understand the yearning - deeply so, but the farts of Christ is probally not that much more pleasing than ours, if you know what I mean. Self might be an concept, but at the same time⦠real, I believe. So, now I am repeating stuff Iāve heard and not talking from experience, but people who strike me to have that god given shine and wisdom and compassion and calm, have told me that in the spiritual realm (as they call it), they feel pure bliss, because our spirit is always complete. Think about the word holy, right. Same word as whole, I would assume (but please donāt fact check). Same as heal to, perhaps.

So, dear friends, various traditions have this concept of⦠a cleansing or end of the world (as we know it, perhaps?). The Mayans, second comming, ragnarok and the yugas come to mind. Here on daobums Iāve also heard talk about earth (?) being on the verge to enter the age of Aquarius. What do you think these concepts are about? Iāll share some personal experiences. A few years ago, during a psychotic break, I had this conviction that the world would end that very day. Later Iāve heard that these sorts of delusions, often represent rebirth. Like how a phoenix rises from the ashes. Also, recently, I have and have been having a very strong sense that there Ā«something in the air,Ā» that I or we are about to enter in to a better and more beautiful version of this funny thing we call life. A new era.

Iāve heard rumors that archangel Michael has been associated with the sun, so I asked one of my teachers if this was true. Here is his response: "Yes to the dawn, that is why Saint Michael was placed in the East in the old cathedrals."
