  1. Do you make your bed?

Perhaps it has something to do with tranquillity and peace? Because I'm a Tao Bum I've spent most of my life in bedsits (single rented rooms), although I'm lucky enough to have a whole house at the moment, and the bed has always defined my space. Even now I find laying on my bed, even in the middle of the day, very peaceful and relaxing. I've never been sure whether celibate people are sexual or not as the definition is rather vague.
  2. Do you make your bed?

The bedroom and specifically the bed have a ritualistic aspect which is kinda archetypal and is obviously related to sex! A clean and tidy bed is a statement about the importance and meaningfulness of the ritual of sex/making love/fucking or whatever you wish to call it. I remember an ex lover who always went to great efforts to make the bed, and bedroom, very tidy and sexy needless to say I appreciated it very much! Yes I make my bed, I pull my duvet up and brush it smooth and flat.
  3. Well all I have left to say is that I do flow through this world but I'm not ignorant of the realities of it. I haven't sold out to any form of mutual masturbation so it may be easier for me to see the folly of the modern world. Hey I know how to play the game but it's all rather tasteless. This thread was more about pointing rather than stating but it seems that most of the commentaries have mistaken the words for the reality. Is that my conditioning or yours? So I Let sleeping dogs lie, as they say.
  4. Which short Tai Chi form for small spaces?

Sounds good, I'll look into it. I used to do a series of Qigong exercise years ago and in some ways it's better than Tai Chi because it takes just a few mins to learn. Having said that I suppose there's something to be said for the patience of learning a Tai Chi form. Someone above asked what I wanted from my Tai Chi practice, health, self-defence or relaxation/meditation. I actually want all three which I always thought was the whole Idea of Tai Chi i.e. The Supreme Ultimate?
  5. When you was insecure and shy you was true but now you have simply joined the orgy and denial of the masses. Of course I could be wrong! Hmm I figure human nature is the crux of the problem! If people could just accept the completely bizarre fact that they are self-conscious then perhaps they would stop hiding in their self-destructive ways? People never kill anybody but themselves! Focusing of the positive may mean ignoring the growth of the negative. But hey if you ever need a new heart I'm sure they'll be one available on death row! What price life when it becomes a living hell?
  6. Try cities i.e. Vanity and greed. And no I'm not religious on the contrary Religion is a control mechanism that serves none but those that would control/enslave. Perhaps you're just being ironic? Enjoy the irony while it lasts.
  7. People will believe any old shit!

    Jehovah, Jehovah, Jehovah. Halibut!
  8. I figure the dry-cleaning bill should go to Miss Fanny Bright.

  10. Wait, wait, can you hear it? . . . . . . . . . . Dashing through the snow In a one horse open sleigh O'er the fields we go Laughing all the way Bells on bob tails ring Making spirits bright What fun it is to laugh and sing A sleighing song tonight Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh A day or two ago I thought I'd take a ride And soon Miss Fanny Bright Was seated by my side The horse was lean and lank Misfortune seemed his lot We got into a drifted bank And then we got upsot Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh yeah Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh
  11. Do winners get a prize? How about a gold plated toilet-seat? Not sure I like chat rooms as my typing is crap even on the best of days.
  12. male multiple orgasms

These might be of interest: The Male Deer Exercise: http://www.umaatantra.com/tantra_articles/...r_exercise.html The Female Deer Exercise: http://www.umaatantra.com/female_deer_exercise.html There's also an exercise with Lion in the title where a man places his fingers firmly on the perineum to stop the emission of semen when he cums although this can cause semen to enter the bladder so isn't recommended. I couldn't find a link to any info but perhaps someone else can?

  14. Hello

Welcome US, I'm sure they'll be plenty of juicy threads for you to get your teeth into.
  15. The Tao that can be taught is not the eternal Tao.

Yes, and when I talked about self-cultivation and choosing what to build into ourselves perhaps we shouldn't be building anything into ourselves? Actually we would probably die of boredom if we didn't do something so is it a case of being eclectic or selective? Strangely I'm a bit of both, if that's possible, as I tend to be open to almost anything although I have always sort the deepest most profound insights. I also have a habit of constantly testing what I think I know such as the reappearance of the personality and the eternally changing yet changeless nature of things.

Thanx for the feedback, there's some good ideas there which have got me thinking.

  18. Earthquake in China

I've been watching events unfold on the news and it looks very bad. I'm sure I speak for all here when I say there is a great sadness for China's loss.
  19. Angry Daoists

I figure there's a lot less friction on this forum than most others. As for some members here not being Taoists, well that sounds like a contradiction. I see Taoism as being the most accessible of all systems/philosophies because it risks not taking itself too seriously. If somebody has read or reads the Tao Te Ching and wants to call themselves a Taoists that's cool with me. As for masters...
