You can point out I have 20 arms. And i'm going to reflect on it with sincerity. But it does not mean I'm going to agree with it. Similarly I'm just giving some suggestions to reflect on. I don't expect anyone to agree with me. Just look for yourself. Make your own conclusions. That's what matters.

I do seriously consider all comments. If I'm doing something out of line. I welcome everyone to point it out and I will reflect on it with all sincerity. I suppose it's the critism that you feel is my problem. But I don't see any criticism being made. All I did was propose a possibility that a particular behavior might not be as cute as it appears on the surface. That there might be something to look at more closely. Btw I have no judgement for people acting in unenlightened fashion. I'm myself full of shit and ego. But putting the light where another person is indulging in ego might be a very positive thing. If you take it the right way.

I'm not concerned with what people's goals are. I'm concerned with finding opportunities to bring some light where I feel called to express myself.

Yea that could be part of it. But perhaps there is something more to it. Because there are people who like what they see in the mirror and have no need to show off. Just as a comparison example.

Could be the need for approval at play. Wanting to be liked and accepted. Constantly looking at the mirror. Wanting to show off etc. But we have already discussed that we can't act enlightened until we are. So some display of ego is expected I guess. To quote Maddie. Bringing awareness to our clinging is what will eventually take us into wisdom.

I'm actually satisfied with this. Especially the darkened part. And with the whole conversation in general. It was quite a turn around I did not expect haha. I feel this would be a positive place to wrap things up for me. Ending things on a positive note you know lol.

Perhaps I should add where this question is coming from. It's coming because I observe many people fight and trying really hard to prove to everyone they are male or female or something in between. They fight tooth and nail to be accepted as this or that. That's why I want to ask. Is it even important to fight for it, when all identity is ultimately unreal? I hope this question is still okay.

I accept that identity simply is. Whatever it is. A man, a woman, an alien. I agree. Identity simply is. But how much should we cling to it and make it super important. If all identity is false in the end (according to buddha)

I see. It's what Luke sayed as well. We can't identify with our true self because we're not enlightened yet. I totally agree with that idea. I even raised the question to him already. How much effort should we put on defending, decorating, advocating our false temporary identity then?
