Yes according to the "Law of Seven" there are particular times where a little kindling of the fire is needed, which is an interesting idea. If you set up a project it will roll on, but at certain pre-determined points there will need to be an injection of energy. Very interesting concept although I have never seen it myself, although I know full well that from time to time a bit of whump is needed.

Yes one has to see transmutation in many planes layers and so on ... and understand its nature there. In "feeding your demons" it is directed in a more psychological fashion meaning you feel something in you that is not right, then visualise it with personal details (a sad person, a monster) or whatever, and feel what it really represents and then you generate the antidote and allow it to consume the antidote sort of thing. You find Tsultrium Allione on youtube and sit through a guided meditation. Some people if they are in a happy state will remember unhappy states in order to work on things that bother them from time to time. It may also be possible to work on material that is not strictly your own, meaning you go somewhere that is unhappy and sitting in that place you transmute stuff ... but to what end I don't know. Your whole life can become a transmutation for instance in a male-female relationship you can transmute your sexual energies together. And your sexual energy, like your sexual seed, is the final product of digestion of food. Also air as a substance is another category that is transmuted - but I am not an expert in such things. Things can be transmuted by will for instance when you use courage to meet an event, there is a transmutation of energy with a result. Yin Yang leads to Yuan. Basically the principle at all levels is like connecting two wire, once connected they generate Yuan. But one has to do some work to make that connection. Without some effort the wires disconnect themselves ... which is entropy. So this design of the universe forces a constant work on the participants, they must continue to digest and reconcile material. Because life exists to live, not to be a slob, it needs to do something to continue so it must always be bridging things, which is known as "growing". That's about as much as I know.

There is a technique called "feeding your demons" .... where you visualise the vibration (or character) of something you want to transmute and create the antidote to it which is fed into it to create reconciliation. Which is all good fun. The Male Female polarity exists at many levels and in many different ways. For instance when you go out into existence and do the transforming, from where are you doing it. It's like you send the sword out, but where is the chalice from where it springs. A pair. When something is understood, where is the understander ? A pair. Emotional transmutation is for instance sadness to joy. Intelligence transmutation is for instance 'I don't know who I am' to 'I recognize who I am'.

One strange fact about this world is that the spiritual people are normally those who are too stupid to get jobs. So they bum around and drift into the spiritual place, and then they start "teaching". It is "teaching" rather than teaching because being stupid they can't really explain anything, and don't really know what happened. Often they just start repeating the past scriptures, in the hope that they might arrive at something, or recreate a spiritual scene they have seen somebody else do. But, they often have got no idea really how or what they are teaching. Another thing is that people can become extremely desperate in their journeys and just take themselves to many teachers and techniques and desperately try one thing or another, and then one day poof ... it happens. Which is fine, but it does not lead to being able to teach anything. What are you going to teach exactly ? Desperately running right and left and trying every goddam thing ? Or will you teach sitting under a tree in the hopes of grace ? Errr ..... Not really ideal planet to live on. And if you listen very carefully to spiritual teachers, they will start will the mystical words and make the whole scene, and somewhere in the middle of their speil they will actually try to think. And if you listen carefully you will notice that their thinking is rubbish. And it's not something they do very much because mostly it's just the reading of ancient words and creating that spiritual theatre.. And then there is the whole thing about ... it can't be taught .... or please students I can't teach you, you have to do it Or something the teacher stares in your eyes really hard in the hope that somethings gonna happen. Or maybe if you hang around with me long enough ... then by osmosis you will get it. Ridiculous. Ridiculous from top to bottom is this planet. But ... people might be sincere in wanting to pass it on, but their intelligence is not so good. No wonder anyone with half a brain and a job are running fast in the opposite direction. Problem is ... that there is a spiritual reality, and only rare teachers actually know what to do. One conclusion that is at least a little logical is to retrace the steps of the teacher ... but few students want to do that. How many people wish to walk in the footsteps of Buddha and leave everyone and so on, and study hard and so on ? Well maybe some do. With the TTC, notice he wrote it one the way out of the city .... er ... but isn't it about living in harmony with everything ... how can you live in harmony if you are leaving ??? All this head scratching about how to understand the TTC ... people love this game, the "big" question. Why don't you just read it ? Oh it's alchemy !!! Is it really. Oh no there is some deeeeeep thing in there, it's so deeeep man. Ok.

What is going to be reincarnated ? If you look at a man, what in him ... is his ? Is it mostly arbitrary accumulation ? Material ? Then why would it be reincarnated ? Well it is "reincarnated" as what it is from matter to matter. Matter cannot be reincarnated as light, and light not as material. Hence nothing real every dies. So no need for any anxiety. What is it inside you that is not matter ? Is there anything, perhaps something small ? And how can you radically increase that ? How can you transform all your matter into light ? What in you is individual ? Is your own ? It has come to my attention that many awakened beings are not that awakened and not that different really. They are not fully whole and integrated they just managed to put the lights on somewhere. They have existential stability but not that much. It my withstand death, but what comes next. Someone who wishes to live on and on and on and on and on ... in the light, must fall in love with the path. Consciousness is the recognizer. Does recognition take time, if I look at a bird ? Yes. When you have a question that you mull over does it take time to find an answer ? Yes, you might have arising solutions popping in (from the unconscious) or intuition (meaning your inutitive centre receives something), and you may consciously induce an answer. A meeting of many levels to find an answer. Light is not what it seems, it is quite magical. When we see a landscape each colour is a different heat level, we don't see light, we feel their heat according to colour. In the same way when we experience sunlight we might interpret this as some sort of material phenomena .... but is it actually love itself from our protector. Is the Sun alive ? Are you sensitive to such things or live like wind up soldier ? To get from pure understanding to the manifest world is a long journey through layers of consciousness and subtle energy structures. Does consciousness take time to recognize itself, no instantaneous and same for recognition of self in the heart or dantien etc... Unless you are developed or developing yourself internally and studying the inner structures, then the conversation is not much.

The animal part of man is old and sound, but the modern part in the head is not formed well and requires external conditions to function well ... sincere integrated people. Often the head becomes distorted and society disintegrates, then once again the animal part climbs the mountain. When it gets to the top of the mountain it hands off to the head which eventually disintegrates everything. Billionaires who worked their way up (using the animal - like Trump) they send their kids to fancy schools and the kids become bums, they do not have the guts of the father. If one is wise, then one can understand what needs to be done, and avoid the self-pampering. You are indeed fortunate if you have a connection to someone who is sound. Mankind is a tragic creature just below the threshold of consciousness, with awareness just enough to feel pain and make big destruction that he regrets. So ... mankind is not born to be slave, and with courage we meet life we are life meeting life. So things might not be good for us, and who are they good for ? But the birds stand outside in the freezing cold all winter raising chicks. We dont' have a need to complain but to be worthy of something, to try, to try, and if we are taken then we know we did something. For ourselves and for everything because we are part of everything. Life must live, it meets itself, meets the day, meets its work, it makes the imperfect perfect all day every day. Everyone who contributes is valued by life and helped, those who do not are discarded. Mankind is very confused. People talk of emptiness, and then they say emptiness is fullness. Well are you stupid ? Likewise mindfulness is when there is no mind. People are stupid and accustomed to being stupid and don't let them get away with it. Stand against the stream and point it out. We are a tree growing out of the chaotic slime of the underworld and it is not so easy as you might think. All these creatures and trees and people are climbing higher, building the tree step by step. What can you contribute ? We are physical-emotional-mental-spiritual. All needs to be honed, or it is lost, like muscle wastage. Don't use it .. don't have it. The urban world does not give any opportunites for this, but just make them, in turn each one of them needs work. What is your programme of work for your emotional growth ? Or your mental ? Prefer Carl Sagan and Newton to Richard Dawkins and Neil Tyson because the former two have souls. Choose your teachers well. Vegas is bright lights big excitement .... when you leave you are sucked dry and half destroyed. Well much of our society is doing that, exciting food, exciting ideas and so on. Exciting qigong. Be wise to this. If you earn your money honestly and your development honestly then you will not be fearful, but if you are cheating then you will worry that someone will cheat you ... and they probably will. Does an oak tree worry that other trees in the forest are not growing so much, or that acorns do not grow ? Not so much, but with his deep roots and wide arms he shelters many and flourishes. But, the roots go down first, the go deep down first, only then does the above ground grow, only then does he shelter. This life is the final test of the soul, in this life everything works ... for a while and then collapses. It's like trying to hotwire a car and the cables are close enough to spark, but you have to twist them together for ignition. So it's a painful world, where it looks like "real life" but then all the paintings fall off the wall. It looks like its all there, but then everything goes wrong. So ... please get the message, and instead of thinking this is it and I am a final being ... try to comprehend that there is more to climb before you are safe. Like when you are swimming out too far from the beach and you don't leave enough to return home. It's so enjoyable to be inside an almost right world ... that we swim out too far and can perish. Whatever you do I suggest you deepen your practice and don't tell anyone, but when you get home after work you remember the maya of this world and do the work with intensity, to shorten your stay in the pain. The quickest way through a storm is to turn 180 degrees about and go right through the middle. Well, at least that's one approach !

Working with chakras is a different kettle of fish and might disturb fragrant, but for instance in that yiquan form there is the development of the dantien, heart, solar plexus so some work is included there and it is more compatible with fragrant. You could add in daily meditation sittings, either in the Zen style (very compatible) read Zen Mind Beginners Mind, or if you prefer vipassana.

I go to bible study twice a week with two different groups but I must say Peter and Paul have blown the teachings of a simple man with 12 dusty students .... completely out of proportion and with unnecessary dramatisation. Perhaps we should "Learn to be Just You".

There are no straw-dogs in existence, everything is part of the growing tree. Some work the bottom, some the top. In the same way, a man with high intelligence does one kind of work, and another man builds his house. So what ? Within is a deep faith, that comes from knowing that we are on the same tree. No problem. It's neither acceptance nor indifference or anything like that. Neither it is universal imagi-love. These are all silly delusions. Does a leaf concern itself with loving all the other leaves on a big oak tree .... not really. And if some leaves are shed in the fall, shall we all cry ? Not really. Do they have no purpose ? Not really. Can we accept the situation ? Not really, stop making big statements about it. All comes from human monkeys simply being at a threshold of consciousness and being very confused about who they are. It's all silly. Love for a leaf simply means knowing you are a leaf, then naturally you "love" the tree, same for wuwei it's just that you know who you are and are happy to be part of the project and feel good. Human ego clings to many things, and attempts to dramatise his life with big ideas .... but when you find yourself it's just simple and a walk in the park in the afternoon. To be honest, humans through their confusion have penetrated a bit too far into the spiritual dimensions ... again looking for who they are. If we were a little more conscious of who we are ... we wouldn't bother with exploring the outer realms.

I was thinking today in the shower .... you know the "deal" is not that bad, it's not like ... we have given them Wayne Roonery or anything. So what's wrong with the deal .... alright everything is wrong with it ... but there is so little in the deal that it's not so much. The EU are just as ludicrous as our politicians caught in a crossfire of their own tremors of fear, all the problems in Europe, the US Trump, Russia and so on .... and if Hilary runs it's not going to end up any time soon. Juncker but one brown and one blue shoe on this week for work, and he's probably hitting the sauce quite hard. Inside the leeches are aware of their own inner meaninglessness. Why did they play hardball with us ? Well they didn't really, they can't do anything, so they just sit there and say the same mantra in the hope that everyone will go away, and at the same time May just says yes okay to everything. It's a bit like Paxo vs Michael Howard if anyone remembers. Paxo asked the same question 14 times because in his ear the editor was saying that the next segment is not ready so buy some time Jeremy .... and during the 14 times Michael Howard managed to dice himself up. So don't feel threatened. May probably sees her as a sacrificial lamb, and that's just fine with everyone including herself, so maybe it's a blinder, never know. All depends on what happens next. Of course in an honest world of people who have backbones things would be quite different but .... you gotta disco with whatever creatures you find on the dancefloor, and zombie snakes dance in a certain slithery kind of way. No hard feelings. And at the same time China is unrolling it's new Silk Road investment plan, connecting itself with so many parts of the world. And they think they are hip. Well okay, soon they will be on the other side of the arc of society, and declining into indulgence and fatigue like the West. Ha, don't think it won't happen, it will.

Just watching an interview with the very beautiful and lovely Grace Kelly. I am sure every young woman would have dreamt of being her, a princess, and young men dream of being the biggest oak tree in the forest. Why am I not .... that ? Well I think it's like when you start a new job and you feel very uncertain about what you are doing, you check yourself, doubt yourself, compare yourself. But later when you get into the idea then you just do the job and feel good, go home with money in your pocket and eat well and sleep well. So it's the same thing for us. What is our job ? To be who God made us. We don't quite feel who we are, we are new in this job and get pushed around by society that tries to find a place for us .... when we do find out who we are, we feel ourselves inside, and can unfold ourselves. Then we don't have to worry about anything. We have been made, somehow, and that is our job to be that one.

Perfectionism means being in the false mind. The mind has a cutting tool that can cut things into two halve left and right, and that is fine, however when you are lost inside the tool then you start to understand life as 1s and 0s. It's a sign of being in total disconnection with reality, and lost in a tool that is supposed to be in a tool box for occasional use. Imperfection .... well this word is not really correct either. There is just life, as you walk through it you might fix something, you might leave it in a better state than before. We spend life meeting many situations .... non of which are perfect, obviously. The question is about engagement, are you will to meet life. When you talk about perfect / imperfect you have already disconnected yourself and hide in your head. That's the real problem. Deep things : Perhaps someone gives you model of how to live, like marriage between man and woman. Well this is a sort of image from someone who is either ahead of you on the road, or who is in a better state that you and can tell you how to be healthy, or someone who intuits a good future. So in this case perfection is a sort of image that we can work too that comes from someone who's eyes are better than ours. Another important thing is that people get lost in their mind not because they like thinking .... but because it is when they think that they feel their inner identity most strongly ... but unfortunately they seem unable to convert that into a resting sense of themselves .... i.e. they cannot awaken consciousness. And so they keep thinking and keep being disconnected from reality. This is a species wide problem. Additional to that, societies go in cycles and at certain cycles the material wealth leads to indulge laziness and cowardice that multiples the escape into the head.

Wow, frightening, like bacteriae overgrowing a petri dish. As above so below. Humans are just clever enough to make a really big stinking disaster out of everything. According to Gurdjieff humans are not here just to be here but like all creatures are transforming energy, and the human species has a certain amount of energy to transform collectively. And when the population vastly expands in numbers what it means is that the become poor transformers and so more are needed. In other words it is a sign of the deterioration of the transformational power of an individual human (or the deterioration of the inner state).

Ouspensky's work is a very bad place to start ... after teaching students for 30? years in London he became an alcoholic and then told all his students they would have to "make a new start on Mt Athos" ... in other words the entire group had failed. And the reason is pretty simple he was just stuck in his head. When he first met Gurdjieff, Gurdjieff took him back to meet some students and gave him Gurdjieff's play he had been working on (struggle of the magicians) ... anyway Ouspensky didn't understand any of it. Ouspensky hung out with royal princes and aristocrats and so on ... smelly people. Read or listen to some chapters of Beelzebubs Tales. The book is designed to challenge you in many ways, it is not really a book ... but a teaching tool with very specific intentions. It is designed to vastly improve your intelligence concentration memory conceptual grasp mental flexibility sense of humour and devotion, as well as giving a detailed history of the evolution of consciousness in man over several milleniae. Also there are 2 Gurdjieff movements on youtube you can do called ... Movement 39, Om Circles. There is a group of three students in white performing them and you can follow. Notice the details (eyes and vocalizations). These are actually Osho students. And Rebecca Nottingham has a good book on the Fourth Way. Following that the books of his students like Fritz Peters and Martin Benson really tell you who you are dealing with.

Seems like a book with excellent ideas, which in their essence are good. However the author himself seems to use these ideas to reinforce his false self : see his Blog posts entitled "How to dominate life like a lion" (false yang) and "using content" (false mind). Also his urge to monetize his ideas. There are other books of the same ilk but written by spiritual people. Meeting imperfection with your courage and developing mini-routines are excellent ...but the devil is in the detail, if you have routines to force your way unconsciously through difficulties, or if meeting imperfection is always about acting to get to some destination .... then you use these techniques as a way to remain totally unconscious. A big difference ... the quality of your teacher is more important than his teaching. Gurdjieff / Fourth Way uses very similar techniques but with a vastly deeper focus ... for instance regarding mini-habits Gurdjieff talked of the Horse / Carriage / Driver : http://www.doremishock.com/manuscripts/horsecarriagedriver.htm As for TTC what is the similarity to this book, well not much as Laozi is vastly further along on the path. However the TTC does not really have techniques in it more like attitudes to have to life that are the result of maturity gained through spiritual work. Also the kind of will emphasised by the author is working with the head, rather than the belly in Taoism. Working with the head you would never see the way the belly sees. Does Taoism talk of imperfection : not really, it just talks of the subconscious movement of the universe between the poles and for the sage to enter into the flow of this. TTC also is about dying from the manifested universe into the unmanifested .... living actually from the energetic substrata beneath the visible universe of 10,000 things. I do very much appreciate the idea that life is a series of imperfect situations and our job is to make them straight, to make a picnic out of anything we find, to make a harvest in any weather, any conditions and in so doing we enter into the life learning about itself through its many interactions.

Isn't it ? Looking at the Buddhists self-immolating, or the Crussades, or the yogis getting stoned and so on. The idealisation of the "True Guru" is ... a fantasy, another way for a person to distance themselves from doing the inner work themselves, and it is helpful to be in the presence of someone who also has done the work. That's all. Likewise when people talk of "peace" all the time ... another fantasy.

There is absolutely no way that a primitive monkey like a human is actually going to follow any of these complicated instructions. Better to simply merge with the breathing in the belly and then breathe visual light into the eyebrow centre and become present there. Then merge the two practices. That is the Golden Flower. Job done. Of course on these threads you can write down innumerable posts with countless fancy sounding instructions full of ancient words that nobody agrees upon, quote endless books .... if you enjoy it !!!! Truly if the path was that complicated nobody would have made it. Remember Laozi saying he was a fool and knew nothing, a useless tree, and confused. In fact it is often unintelligent and simple people who do make it because once you are intelligent enough to create such a long winded NASA like quote-ridden text ... you have very little hope of accomplishing anything, you are a prisoner of your false mind.
