  1. Another painfully awesome sleep update, yeah!

When you feel anxious, investigate inside to find out what it means. Be curious, what does it feel like ? Is it a subtle vibration and dark feeling coming from your left hip ? Speak to it, can you visualise what is there ? And speaking to it, what does it say ? Can it remember when these feelings started, some point in the past ? Here you are speaking to parts of your subconscious. You talk about feeling really really amazing. Well feeling really really amazing is normally followed by really really unamazing. Because it's not grounded. Blaming your feelings on the bed slats or things outside of you .... is quite weird. Did you never think to look inside yourself ?
  2. What country is that ? As for feedback system, yes it's called being intelligent. You walk into a door and you say "that's not very good, I'll try not to do that again". Why are you opening your arms to embrace everything ? Are you not aware of what goes on on this planet ?

  5. I have been attending two Bible study groups for several years near me, one Catholic and one Anglican. One thing I notice about the Anglicans is that they absolutely do not come to church to listen to Jesus or follow the teachings, or anything like that. To be Anglican is to imagine yourself to be a higher order of Christian, a smart Christian. Who knows all about neuroscience etc... and "understands" that all these silly well meaning people are really doing something to do with endorphins or psychotherapy ... all those great sciency things they have been learning from the TV every night on the BBC News. And because they are so certain, and know for sure that Christianity is really a form of hormone manipulation and psychology, then they do participate in all that kneeling and "praying" and all that kind of stuff .... very "sincerely" ... that know for sure it's all meaningless, so they keep doing these old things to humour the silly fools. Hopefully one day the silly fools will realise it's all like the TV says, all brain hormones and psychology. And so, the Anglicans don't feel completely insincere it what they are doing. They don't feel that they are total frauds, and doing exactly what Jesus taught them to do. They do not feel that they "do not know the day, nor the hour". So the first thing required to be "spiritual" is to be able to separate yourself from the TV that raised you. If you can't do that, you can't begin.
  6. Anglicanism and the Emptiness of Emptiness

What about their LGB views ?
  7. Anglicanism and the Emptiness of Emptiness

Thanks I'll check him out. I have been listening to a lot of Tumblar House on youtube with Charles Coulombe, publisher of Catholic books.
  8. Anglicanism and the Emptiness of Emptiness

No, my experience of Catholicism is quite strange actually. I found the Catholic churches to be packed and wholesome, with people of the less well off and less arrogant classes filling the pews, whole families, 3 generations and various traditional things like Christams trees decorated by the parish's children. I don't usually sit through mass, but I have seen that frequently you can only stand at the two local Catholic churches, the Sacred Heart and St Peters. So frankly I was totally shocked, I thought this had all died a death but it seems not. And although these people are relatively simple minded and unintellectual, it seems to me they take Communion and it goes in. Whereas the Anglicans seem attract intellectual people and LGB crowd. The second bible study is at the Sacred Heart. It is clear to me that almost nobody in either group can read the Bible because as soon as they open the book the MGM music starts up and they are transported to the land of myth fable and thunder, and the words on the page are blurred by the music in their heads. But at least the Catholics approach it with the right kind of heart, some organic essence is in their practice, and somehow it goes in. Whereas the Anglicans just lack that organic sincerity, and in fact the Anglican group has started to mix in teachings that they imagine are Buddhist (taught by a white guy in a book), it is very a la mode to bring Buddhism into whatever you are doing, even making lattes or walking the dog.
  9. Anglicanism and the Emptiness of Emptiness

The point is that they do not detect any insincerity within themselves because they are certain that the conventional story on the TV is the right one. So then they are free to go to church and go through the motions "knowing" what the "real meaning" of such practices is. i.e. that it is all meaningless, that spirituality is not real, Jesus and God don't exist, that it all amounts to psychotherapy and brain chemistry, which is "nice". And because they are so certain about that, they don't feel any sense of guilt shame or insincerity. And I think this is typical of many people in society that we might call insincere or corrupt. They simply are so far away from the truth and so certain of themselves, they detect no the slightest cause for self-reflection. Or put it another way, there seem to be many people in society who have no soul and no contact with truth and are life-sized automatons of a machine-like culture, and who beam with confidence and act forcefully in the world, but are in fact empty shells with nobody inside. All of which creates a painful and jarring world to live in, full of assault on truth, a world that some have called Maya / Samsara or Hell.

    This was in Brighton UK.
  11. 1 道原 Daoyuan The origin of the Way

Is this a statement of fact, or a hope that one day it will happen ? Or is this an instruction to sages, a reminder of what they should be ? Is this an appeal to suicide because when you don't live then ... there are no problems ? In all this, I see no particular assistance to the seeker, just .... prayers sprayed from the parapet. In fact, to be taught one must study small things carefully, and dispense with over-arching grand sounding ideas.
  12. What is it that you are exactly experiencing and what are you doing ? Are you at work, school ? Or retreat ?
  13. not correct most sages sat quietly
  14. the wall, part of trumps insanity

Well ... that's not going to be very easy to reverse now is it. Maybe if there was a big earthquake in California it could happen but ... That's why he likes the wall, he can at least go visit and get some fresh air, and remember the glory days of building high rise !!!
  15. Ba Duan Jin Energetics Visualization

Before you start shake your body out vigorously (shaking horse) for several minutes. Then warm up your arms and hands by rubbing them together gently, palms, then palms and wrists, then same on the back of the hands, and then do the entire arm, up on the inside, and down on the outside from hand to shoulder. Doing this will sensitize the hands are arms for practice.
  16. the wall, part of trumps insanity

Well I just don't see it at all. He doesn't really need anything nor want anything. He doesn't even want to rule the world, he is just withdrawing US power. Obama type people just want to have more Presidential Meetings with Important People all over the planet so they can flaunt their balls and brainless agreements to everyone. Trump can not be bothered. And you know why ? Because he spent his life building real buildings with real people out of real bricks. Jesus, I can imagine him toying with blowing his brains out before going to another political chat-attack-world-meeting. At least when he is in Singapore with Kim Jong Un, the rest of the worlds cream of elite swine asskissers aren't there. I really feel sorry for him, now he knows just how corrupt power is. And then you've got the military industrial complex, the bankers and all that. Difficult to find a clean glass to drink out of. I'm sure he'd like to get back to construction a.s.a.p.
  17. the wall, part of trumps insanity

No, he never lies, that's the best thing about him. But ... of course I am not talking about what comes out of his mouth !!! You can always tell exactly what he thinks and what he's gonna do. The main thing is that his agendas are natural, following Nature, for the most part. Look at his family, his family photos you have a lot of people there, happy people, healthy people, no nutcashes or weirdos. And they are confident well spoken take responsibility,l his ex-wife loves him. So what's not to like ? It's perfect, that speaks well of him. He is not really creative in inventing strange ways to live, he's a boring man. His dad was a business man, and he's a business always working etc.. 5 years military school, never touched a drop of alcohol ..... who can say that ? He has internal discipline and a cause. Is he a dirty businessman ? Hmm ... well I imagine it's not so straightfoward to build in Manhattan. You have to learn the ways, see how the river winds down the valley. And he did that. He didn't complain or ask for human rights. He just worked with what was there. On wikipedia they estimate him to be about $5bn. And yeah he almost went under, but didn't. Plus his businesses are rock solid, build on land, he is grounded person. He is not a mental chatter dotcom bubble person, he is real. Some of his buildings and hotels are beautiful, and sort of classic'ish. Not ugly cr** in Dubai. Also his wives are pretty nice to listen to, not offensive, not airheads, actually interesting people. Did he twist everybody's arms to get a better deal ? Probably. But then, he's been in business for a long time, and everybody knows who's coming, so they choose to work with him or not. Plus the best thing is you call him up on the phone and he's willing to make a deal, like N.Korea. When he arrived in the office, Obama's imminent WW3 with Russian in Syria just vanished, was all made up. Simple normal hardworking experienced, a bit dumb and stupid mouth ... but there are worse things. The basics at least are upright. And the world is degenerating so ... who gets in the office next. Maybe it'll be the t-Kardashian.
  18. I am officially jaw dropped amazed.

Exactly, you have absolutely no clue whatsoever who or what you are. And you "approach" will certainly make this worse, much worse. Why not head to Hollywood, at least you can make some money out of your self-dis-membering..
  19. the wall, part of trumps insanity

Ha ... but maybe it's true, in some ways anyway. You do have to be a mean old tough shrewd grizzly bear to get where he's got. He's a pretty straight shooter though, follows the Tao in the sense that he works, he builds, he creates, and doesn't give a f***. Then he tells everyone to read the Bible. Well, I've heard worse instructions. Hell, Obama got 15 Nobel Peace prizes just for using the WH toilet, that's pretty amazing, well done. Now he makes his money on the circuit, how much is it ... $1,000,000 per speech. What a really nice guy. Or you become an expert in building stuff, condos, hotels, resorts, golf courses,, you can even get Trump chocolate bars. Choose your poison, personally I'll stick close to the ground, it's pretty messy down here, but it's still ... the ground.
  20. I am officially jaw dropped amazed.

Your path seems to lead to a lot of porn use and self destruction, whilst telling yourself in your brain that you are having great joy.
  21. Perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to take away

There was something slightly consumerist about her statements that she is perfectly happy whatever happens. She and her husband are rich enough to afford a fancy place in the woods where they can read books even though she had never heard of the word "Luddite". Strange really. And they also are not back to the landers, meaning they don't till the soil, they don't grow things, mostly they seem to be involved in cutting things off as a solution, like her hair. I wonder where her money comes from ? When you are rich and you don't want to exist, life is pretty easy isn't it.
  22. I am officially jaw dropped amazed.

Many students of spirituality even after decades of practice do not begin. Why is this ? Because they came to teach, under the guise of learning. A friend of mine told me of a second hand bookseller she had visited in London on Saturday where every book cost at the very least £200 ($250). We are so used to the malnourishment of what is cheap, that we do not even suspect. Most people do not know the truth, and it is better for them that they do not.
  23. I am officially jaw dropped amazed.

They seek only to colonise meditation and turn it into an instrument of their dis-organisation. "Buddhism" in the West is hell-of-a degenerated, just like "Yoga" is. But hey, wide is the gate leading to destruction ... and who ... who ever read the words, who even tried. When you are up against the wall, you find out who your friends are, and you find out how many of those around you have any substance within them at all. You find out if you have any substance in you at all. Most are paper thin and are blown away by a breeze. So, let it be that way if God wishes it to be that way. My way is my way, and it is the Great Way. I follow the mountain, I see nothing but the mountain.
  24. I am officially jaw dropped amazed.

The only agenda of these people is to destroy meditation, like they destroy everything else.
  25. Perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to take away

This very lovely woman is married, and she says that she wishes wholeness now, where once she sought emptiness. Yes she provides a rare example in this world. To set up such a place does not seem straightforward, certainly not in the UK, but maybe we can begin approximately. In relation to what I had said earlier on in this thread and that wasn't in keeping with that video; given the catstrophic society we live in then asceticism is definitely the medicine everyone needs, but if the medicine works you find that you don't want to die because life is very much worth living ... if you are not insane.
