  1. The Brexit Thread

Just read up on it. The vote against a no-deal is non binding and was lost by about 43 votes. Legally in October we leave and if nothing else happens we leave with no deal. So I think the PM would have to be very strong in their will, which rules out quite a lot of them. Malthouse A or B ; seems to be a way forward but seems to require EU to agree. The A version involves no hard border and an invisible border. I was thinking this is possible technologically. One way is to have large trucks pass through a toll gate with an xray machine, and they would have to slow down but not be stopped. Then they can drive on ... unless the xray picks up 500 migrants in the back. Plus every 50 cars / vans would be stopped from time to time ... like in Switzerland's borders. And the rest is done with intelligence. Plus on the open land you can use UAV, or satellite tracking. Any group crossing the border are stopped by border patrol which would be a small new force in trucks and helicopters. And any farmers who regularly cross the border can have a credit card with a transponder so the satellite will know it is farmer O'Reilly with his 50 head of cattle. So no hard border. A new satellite would be Ā£50m off the shelf apparently if necessary, which is fine ... remember we are paying Ā£40BN to the fascists. I am sending that to Boris Johnson by email. So I believe we are looking at negotiating MaltA if not MaltB if not push through.

Tell you something else, I have seen also in the Christian tradition a bunch of vultures talking about ... how the hierarchy fooled us. They dig up the gnostic texts and all this rubbish. These people talk like they are erudite but in fact they are just followers of a silly fashion. And one thing is for sure, they do no real practice. And they make no real progress. How "erudite". Better to do exactly what the Buddha did. Find a being of high attainment and study privately with him full time. If in doubt sit under a tree for a couple of months with the mouth shut. Winning an argument with a planet of ignorant monkeys ... there is no trophy for that.
  3. Citta

Of course not, because he is a fool. And as a fool he will die having won many arguments, as ignorant as any monkey. He missed his opportunity, and never really understood anything he read.
  4. Citta

He has wasted 20 years of his life arguing, when he could have practiced properly like the great teachers instructed, and he could have become enlightened. Instead he has got nothing from 20 years except winning an argument. That is stupid; but like I said perhaps he is not a spiritual person.
  5. Is the earth hollow?

I am all for believing this theory ... if there is any evidence or any good ideas; but I can't see any. The nucleus of an atom is mater all clumped together. When I make a snowball, it's not hollow in the middle ... at least mine aren't don't know about you !!!! When the Earth formed from the accretion disk of the sun, it was a messy business that took a long time, lots of dust and asteroids gradually smashing into each other and coalescing, but they have to be sort of crunched down again and again to make a planet that will last the test of time. So ... are we supposed to think that after that a hollow would arise in the centre of the planet and gradually expand or something because the planet is spinning ? I an not sure. As you get further into the centre there is mass of the core beneath you and mass of the crust above you, so at some point you should be weightless. I suppose if there was no core it would be hard to get down there because ... you would be fighting against the crust's mass pulling you back up, not such a great place to live. Well I suppose you could live on the inside surface. But then how would you get there, you would have no sun ? No Amazon Prime, how could you survive ? And it would be hot and smelly. When metorites burn in the sky, the seem to be solid don't they ? Without hollow middle bits ? Perhaps the conspiracy theory thing has gone on a bit too long, and people should be anarchistic and dare to be sane.
  6. The Brexit Thread

Here's a question is it actually possible to leave on WTO, if say Raab gets in ? Or doesn't it have to go through parliament where I suppose if all Tory + UUP vote for it, it would scrape through ?
  7. Citta

I'm sorry lifeforce. He is a complete and utter fool and has totally wasted his time. In fact that's not even correct. He is simply not interested in the spiritual path. Sariputta was enlightened after 7 days, and Mogallana after 14 days. They were adept monks who had spent years IN PRACTICE and had come to such inner state that on a fortunate meeting with an awakened being could modify their practice and achieve realisation quickly. Nisargadatta took 3 years under the guidance of an awakened being Siddharameshwar. They did no translations. They gave no citations. They were not interested in academia. And you should ask yourself what you are interested in, because you life is running out ... and if you want a phD just go and get one no-one is stopping you. But that is not spiritual. The only thing to become expert on is : (a) specific practice instructions (b) holy company (c) surrender to God.

A tradition is like a ship and you are a sailor. It is your job to swab the deck and repair the sails. Only then will the ship be good.

Any information on this? Dangers, rollout dates, precautionary qigong?

I do not follow your conclusions. Buddha was himself a "monk", meaning a renunciate who left the world to sit with teachers and learn the spiritual path, which is common in India and has been for thousands of years. After his training with the 2 ascetic masters, he formed a group of monks who spent some time together before going it alone and reaching his realisation, then he returned to that group of monk friends and began teaching. For instance in the Lotus Sutra (I have not read many sutras) he is said to be sitting with "monks". And for instance there is that famous incident when sitting with his students he stopped and sent his no1 and no2 students to find out who was "impure", they discovered a man there on false pretences and chucked him out. Then they continues with the teaching. As for the 4 noble truths, these I believe are not authentic and were added later. As well as that suffering is not a correct translation; it keys in nicely with human sense of victimhood and emotional drama that is very popular, but suffering simply means a non-stable identity swayed by external influences. There is the concept of dependent origination which leads to the conclusion that there is no person and that you literally do not exist. Is this not from Buddha ? I don't know. But that would contradict the Brahman conclusion. Of course dependent origination is bullshit. If there is no self then why bother teaching. The inner being is extremely subtle and few humans can really feel their inner being with its many parts, even if they are awakened. They simply don't know what happened. Instead they love to argue about words which they are very good at. They look inside and say "I see nothing there lets argue". But they did not look closely enough. Buddha is related to Hinduism, but Hinduism is very devotional. But Buddha added new things : firstly he removed the devotional aspect, gods and so on, and secondly he added a high degree of intellectual analysis leading to Mahamudra and Dzogchen and Zen. These things are completely new in India. Although many thousands of years ago India in a previous wave of light, they did have a different intellectual tradition .... of which a little bit remains in the degraded teachings of the chakras and yoga, but a lot has been lost. "I Am Brahman". This invocation is a practice it is not a statement of fact. It is only through the practice that you will one day realise Brahman, infact through this practice you draw out of yourself the Real Self that is part of the universal, and you wake up to your true identity. An identity that only now exists due to your draw it out of yourself with your practice. Unfortunately many unintelligent people these days have heard these words and say to themselves "oh well I am Brahman why bother practicing". This is entirely wrong. "I Am Brahman", or Atma Vichara is a practice. So today there are a whole gang of morons who sit in satsang and teach everyone that no practice is necessary because "I Am Brahman", and charge $500/ weekend. Something is very wrong with this planet. But anyway. Humans on Earth have mastered the arts of bullshitting themselves, corrupting teachings, and mixing dark with light. Until they are so confused and messed up all they have left is suffering. And there is another gang of morons circling like vultures around all traditions saying "we were duped" and "the hierarchy this or that". Meanwhile they never learnt any practices and never got anywhere. The ego is cunning, like a vulture. Lazy and stupid too. There is no such thing as Buddhism is wrong, or Christianity is wrong. There is only "stop being a vulture", and start practicing. You make these traditions right through your correct practice and attainment of them.
  11. The Kybalion

Bashar I like a lot, he applies these ideas, and they are powerful. As long as he isn't talking about ETs. Also I like Florence Scoville Shinn. https://www.iasos.com/metaphys/bashar/ However there are weaknesses to this type of spiritual approach and it can be misinterpreted. The Kybalion is an interesting text, well there is one interesting chapter (C2) the rest is just filler. However it can just end up being lots of ideas and words with no application. In fact these New Thought teachings are supposed to lead you to a revelatory existence of surrender to yourself and the universe. But often people just use them to endlessly try to manipulate the world and miss the point. You are the anvil of the world. Do you know yourself?

What is very good is learning to play an instrument "by ear". Meaning listen to a simple piece of music, or section, say a couple of bars, and then repeat "by ear" on a recorder or any instrument. What this does is use the body (hands and mouth), emotional feeling, and thinking-brain, simultaneously to recall things. I'd say this is a 3brain activity. This develops the different plexuses (the different brains in the body) simultaneously and co-ordinates them together. Then memory and intelligence will function from several ares of the body ... and not be just limited to the head-brain. Painting is similar but is more of a two brain activity unless you listen to music at the same time and incorporate it in the work. Qigong is probably a two brain activity, although it can in some cases add intelligences of the subtle body ... for instance after taichi practice I notice that my dantien is thinking, so it is a 2+1 brain activity. It may also be possible for the eyes themselves to be activated as centres of intelligence (That would be cool.) ... and the 3rd eye. The "I Am" / Now is the a region of development further back in the head. But the 3rd eye in the forehead has a unique development that is closer to the world and to "thinking" and memory. So working on the 3rd eye might possibly replace any memory loss ... well it's probably a big job but possible. There are many options, but the principles are the same ... just choose something and get into it. Also I have a whiteboard by my front door with any appointments, groceries, and bills that need doing.

Reinterpreting the Indigo Children traits listed on Wikipedia: Are empathetic, curious, and strong-willed Do not know who they are Are often perceived by friends and family as being strange They are strange and so are the parents Possess a clear sense of self-definition and purpose ... as victim Show a strong innate subconscious spirituality from early childhood (which, however, does not necessarily imply a direct interest in spiritual or religious areas) Retreating into the inner world Have a strong feeling of entitlement, or deserving to be here Desperate to justify themselves in a world without places for people Other alleged traits include: High intelligence quotient Overthinking and spending too much time on their own Inherent intuitive ability Emotionally co-dependent with family, overly emotional Resistance to rigid, control-based paradigms of authority No authorities are present that are worth much

UK 2014, from BBC report 43% of men and 50% of women reported that they had taken at least one prescribed medicine in the last week. Almost a quarter of men (22%) and women (24%) reported that they had taken at least three prescribed medicines in the last week. This proportion increased with age, with more than half of participants aged 65-74, and more than 70% of those aged 75 and over, having taken at least three prescribed medicines. On average, 18.7 prescription medicines were dispensed per head of population in 2013. The most frequently reported prescribed classes of medicines were cholesterol-lowering drugs (16% of men and 12% of women), drugs to lower blood pressure (14% and 15% respectively) and for women, painkillers including NSAIDs (12%). https://tinyurl.com/y2w9orpz USA 2013, from Mayo Clinic ROCHESTER, Minn. ā€” Nearly 70 percent of Americans are on at least one prescription drug, and more than half take two, Mayo Clinic and Olmsted Medical Center researchers say. Antibiotics, antidepressants and painkilling opioids are most commonly prescribed, their study found. Twenty percent of patients are on five or more prescription medications, according to the findings, published online in the journal Mayo Clinic Proceedings. "Often when people talk about health conditions they're talking about chronic conditions such as heart disease or diabetes," Dr. St. Sauver says. "However, the second most common prescription was for antidepressants ā€” that suggests mental health is a huge issue and is something we should focus on. And the third most common drugs were opioids, which is a bit concerning considering their addicting nature." Seventeen percent of those studied were prescribed antibiotics, 13 percent were taking antidepressants and 13 percent were on opioids. Drugs to lower lipids, such as cholesterol, came in fourth (11 percent) and vaccines were fifth (11 percent). Drugs were prescribed to both men and women across all age groups, except high blood pressure drugs, which were seldom used before age 30. https://tinyurl.com/yy6obv5r
  15. Living in the Now, vs. Dementia

I would say that taking up reading complicated and high quality texts, for instance Gurdjieff's book (I'm sure nobody will, but anyway) ... painting, drawing, music, dance, or of course qigong and other arts .... these are first class ways to enhance your stimulation so that you fend off any deterioration and enjoy life. And you can also Now yourself as much as you want, preferably alternating being-Now with letting-go-into-surrender. Both sides can be developed simultaneously.
  16. Living in the Now, vs. Dementia

Some interesting news from a paper I just read: "In addition, the TG-EE group showed a 69.2% reduction in the total density of senile plaques in the hippocampus when compared to the TG-Ctrl group" This means a certain type of stimulation (physical and intellectual challenges) ... on mice ... actually cleared away some brain plaques (probably cause of Alzheimers) ... which is more than can be hoped for frankly, and I am surprised. The paper is here : https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnagi.2018.00288/full Next, in "Healing With Whole Foods" it mentions couple of things. Chlorella : binds to heavy metals and can clear them from the body (chelation) especially aluminium which is indicated with Alzheimer's. Aluminium enters the body via pots and pans and drinking water. So you can change all that and chelate away, probably in a continuing fashion 1 month on, 2 month off. Many weakened conditions are linked to toxic metals. For example, it is sus- pected that an accumulation of excess aluminum may contribute to a brain dete- rioration syndrome known as Alzheimerā€™s disease}-4 now among the ļ¬ve leading causes of death in the United States. Aluminum is picked up from aluminum cookware and from drinking water (aluminum sulfate is frequently used to ļ¬lter municipal water and often is not completely removed). Baking powder and antacid tablets are two other common sources. The following remedies, if used in the diet 4-6 times a week for 6 months, efļ¬ciently remove toxic metals. For prevention of toxic metal buildup, these remedies may be included in the diet periodically. Garlic Wheat- or Barley-grassi Seaweedsl or Algin*l' Mung beans (to remove lead) Misoiā€˜ Magnesium : it said that Calcium in certain conditions can damage brain cells and to take Magnesium as a solution - sorry was a bit complicated. In some situations, the accretion of soft-tissue calcium is an early step in devel- oping excessive intracellular calcium in the neuronal brain cells as in Alzheimerā€™s disease (AD). The occurrence of increased calcium induces toxic beta-amyloid plaque to deposit, which deranges nerve cells as well as clogs the cerebral blood ves- sels.29-3Ā° Studies suggest that, in contrast, dietary magnesium helps control intra- cellular processes and maintains calcium in dynamic equilibrium.31Ā»32 Medical researcher and author Carolyn Dean, M.D., N.D., describes the cellular role of magnesium: ā€œ. .. recent research indicates that calcium enters the cells by way of cal- cium channels that are jealously guarded by magnesium. Magnesium allows a cer- tain amount of calcium to enter a cell to create the necessary electrical transmission, and then immediately ejects the calcium once the work is done.ā€33 Calcium excess can also occur in the specialized, immune-enhancing white blood cells known as lymphocytes, where it disrupts functions. This occurrence not only adds an extra pathogenic component to Alzheimerā€˜s disease,ā€œ but may also adversely inļ¬‚uence overall immunity. Also Blue Green Algae Because wild blue-green stimulates the opening of neural pathways, it has great value in treating cocaine, amphetamine, and other neuro-stimulant addic- tions. It also shows promise in the treatment of Alzheimerā€™s disease. Those who have dulled their nervous system with too much salty food, including excesses of soy sauce and miso, usually beneļ¬t from wild blue-green. Moderate to large dos- es of wild blue-green have been therapeutically useful for cancer, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, candida overgrowth, and similar degenerations; it dries the dampness that supports these conditions and simultaneously acts as a mood elevator, although it must be taken in moderate amounts by those in frail conditions. In general, wild blue-green should be used cautiously by the person with a cold constitution if weakness, thinness, dryness, and/or ā€œspacinessā€ are also part of the diagnostic picture. That's all from "Healing With Whole Foods".

Another thing is putting 1/3 calcium magnesium powder (Now Foods) into my toothpaste (Dant Kranti). It is a re-mineralising powder, putting the right kind of minerals into your mouth. Also very easy to do, old jar powder toothpaste mix with spoon, lid on, keep in bathroom.
  18. Indigo children - fact or load of crap?

I think you describe the situation correctly. The degeneration of the food supply, arable soils, and the arts and humanities is clear for all to see. Society is like Windows 10, it watches every move you make it tells you it gives you things but in fact it is just feeding off of you. It betrays you especially with it's ideas that it pumps into your head to keep you weak for your whole life. The solution is like this : - you are a crop growing on soil; choose the soil carefully through all streams, physical emotional mental. choose very very carefully. - to grow crops must work, all aspects are cultivated through challenge and learning, nothing is free - your job is you - life has always challenges - there is great danger, but also life will be with you if you wish to live in the light - there have always been great men, like Nietzsche, who were like a rocket that reached escape velocity
  19. The Brexit Thread

May was so pukeworthy this morning, doing her victimy "think of the children" at the podium. How can a fearful victim negotiate !! It's a joke. How far can you pull down your pants and not ... who cares. For my money Raab (solid black belt), Steve Baker (solid practical), Leadsom (nice pair of policiies) .... it's a good group to lead. Bojo it's hard to see how he would not divide everyone, but in another world I like his enthusiasm. The plan - called the The Malthouse Compromise after Kit Malthouse - would lead to Britain leaving the EU "on time and with a functioning government", former Brexit minster Steve Baker said. Said to be drawn up by Nicky Morgan and supported by others, the plan reportedly "provides for exit from the EU on time with a new backstop, which would be acceptable indefinitely, but which incentivises us all to reach a new future relationship". It would extend the transition period - the period where the UK would continue to follow EU rules and pay into its budget - from the end of 2020 and into December 2021. This would "allow both parties to prepare properly for World Trade Organisation terms, but also provide a period in which the parties could obviate this outcome by negotiating a mutually beneficial future relationship". The compromise recasts the backstop as a "free trade agreement-lite", with a commitment on all sides there should be no hard border.

The other part of you is more reliable than the part of you that needs "evidence". Forget about these agendas and give less of a ***.

  22. Your Life Has Already Died

Nihilism is yet another perspective or opinion. Still outside of understanding. Contemplating and considering the matter if you will allow it, it will dawn on you that this is the case. It is not a small thing, and I suppose one must really wish to understand. Normally that comes from suffering.
  23. Your Life Has Already Died

It is not a question of "viewing the world in this way"; that would be just another false angle. One false angle or another is still a false angle. Recognition of what is actual shifts you inside the real life. Time is gone, but dare you let the truth of that dawn on you and all angles are gone. Then as those enter your lens who you value, you can meet them in the now, and then perhaps your meetings will be true and eternal, rather than part of the ignorance. The "world" is a place where people who neither understand themselves nor their lives pretend. They pretend not to understand and the game continues. But how much value does staying in such a pretence have? The world is a place created by people who are afraid of the truth, together. But a time comes when it is clear that the false world is the cause of suffering rather than a solution. And then the true world comes into existence, with true relationships to yourself, to the whole and to others, that is eternal.
