  2. I always reduce the the date to get a daily number. 3 - 27 - 2016 reduces to 3 - 9 - 9 and then further down to 3 - 3 - 3. Today's number is 3. It's speculated that Christ died at the age of 33 around 33 A.D. He was resurrected on day 3 after his death.
  3. Three, 33 or more specifically 333 is my means of communication with my Higher Self. For me, three is the most important number. My father was a 3 life path and my sister is a 3 life path. 333 appeared to me. It showed me how to get back home.
  4. The 10 Commandments of Logic

Thank you. Someone very close to me has been harping on about this particular topic for months. He just got back on it tonight, then I saw this. I love synchronicity. It gives life meaning.
  5. Yeah you're right. I had this nagging feeling the whole time I was typing that. The content isn't really applicable to many people and it's too over generalized. I should of typed a disclaimer. Also the dates and historical aspects aren't factual or even close to accurate... more like opinions and biased theories. Still VERY significant to me at the time. However maybe something not worthy of sharing. This is actually an issue I've been dealing with my whole life that Buddhism and Taoism are helping me overcome. Right thought, Right speech, Right action. I appreciate your feedback.
  6. Discussing Reincarnation

I believe every living thing is reincarnated... or recycled energy. The higher level of consciousness we reach on Earth plane the higher level of spiritual energy we are when we die. Once we reach the highest level or highest vibration or frequency on Earth plane we eventually cease incarnation and become part of the Dao or Logos or God or whatever it is you believe. Heaven or Nirvana is a state of consciousness we reach while on Earth plane. It's the last level of consciousness we can reach on earth. As for Christian's... I wouldn't try having this discussion with most of them. There's a few open minded ones out there who will listen and not become offended, but I don't like trying to convince anyone of anything. They will come to it on their own if they're fortunate enough.
  7. I started to study numerology after I began encountering number sequences 5 years ago. It opened the door that led me to seek an enlightened life. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
  8. numerology

Songtsan- That's pretty neat. I have the same thing, except my number is 6 and the numbers I see everywhere are 333 and 33. I see 11 a lot too, but it all started with 333 and 33.
  9. numerology

Nugali- Yes and no. I suppose you're referring to the metaphysical properties of numbers, which aren't technically scientific, but perhaps more relevant. I know for me personally, the metaphysical properties are more applicable to my life.
  10. Daoism and Western Esotericism

If you seek to gain insight into both Western Esotericism and Kabbalah I suggest acquiring a deck of Tarot cards and start doing self readings. It won't take long, I promise.
  11. Hello, glad I found you all

    Bill Django?
  12. hello enlightening people

Hi there. Hint: stop searching and allow it to find you.

Hello Lisa, my name is Niki, I'm new here too.
  15. Hello

    Hi there!
  16. Daoism and Western Esotericism

Yes. The two compliment one another quite well. The fundamental concepts which link the 2 together being balance and moderation between extremes and the One Divine Source from which everything originates. I believe in order to achieve this balance and connect with the Divine Source we must live virtuously by whatever means necessary. I find The Bible, Torah, Kabbalah, Buddhism, and Ancient Greek Philosophy to be wonderfully inspiring. I came to this place in my life through use of Tarot and Numerology was the major factor that one day just showed up, got in my face and just wouldn't go away. I'm here to more thoroughly explore the Dao. I'm pretty well versed Western Esotericism. Feel free to message me about it anytime!
  17. I'm so extremely lost

I actually can relate. I did go through a similar experience, gave up, declared myself an existential nihilist, and embraced hedonism. I decided I could do whatever I wanted with no repercussions because when I decided I was ready, I would just take my own life. Fortunately, I never did anything I'd live to later regret. The Spirit found it's way to me... and not a moment too soon as I was slowly beginning to lose touch with reality. I was reading Tarot cards, and they kept steering me towards the Bible. Specifically Ecclesiastes and Proverbs (the verses where King Solomon's Mother tells us what a virtuous woman is.) I happened to have some very stressful and bizarre life events occurring around this time which played a pivotal role in this experience, but ultimately I know I never closed that door off to my Spirituality. It came and rescued me from myself right when I needed it most. I never hoped to become "enlightened" only to not feel so dead inside. I've finally found the light we all have buried inside us. If that's enlightenment... cool. Either way I'm eternally grateful and LUCKY. I would advise you go on about your life and just enjoy yourself. Leave the door cracked and at the right time, you will receive what you're yearning for.

I'm a 30 yr old woman from Florida. My first love is psychology, but I have many loves. I have a BA in psychology with a minor in philosophy. My second love is mysticism and religion. I find that Taoism and Buddhism are two of the many philosophies which relate psychology and religion/mysticism. My third love is socializing. I love to be with people and have positive relationships and social interactions. My first two loves make the third one possible. This doesn't necessarily need to be published.

Thanks for the reply. Psychology is often overlooked and waved off as "common sense." Unfortunately it's not common sense for everyone. I pursued an education and career in psychology because I knew something was not normal and I needed help. I eventually found the answer I was searching for in mysticism and philosophy. If anyone ever denies the existence of Carl Jung's Archetypes, I'll testify in court on a copy of any text society holds sacred... they're real, and they saved my life. Or at least my mind.
