  1. Sigh, a thread is supposed to be about the spirituality of Mr. Rogers and how wonderful a man he is, and two idiots post conspiracy theories, shitting on the intent of the OP and the focus of the original conversation. This is less a conversation in someone's living room among like-minded peers with similar interests and instead a few decent individuals who somehow got convinced that letting Negative Nancies and Insufferable Interrupt Everything Ingrids, Everything's Miserable Eeyores and Know-it-All Normans was a good idea. This is just like inviting your racist uncle and your Liberal Arts Social Justice Warrior cousin in college to the same dinner table while having the TV controller right in front of them next to the kitchen knife...two idiots who can't seem to focus on the fact the dinner is in front of them and people are talking about something nice, and yet they want to dump their conspiracies on us and blame the other or tell us that we're in the other's camp. Can't we just be like Mr. Rogers and be good neighbors, for fuck's sake?!
  2. One thread about Mr Rogers, and it’s conspiracy theories, climate change and it’s how scientists are part of the conspiracy, sharing about one’s international experience, and that person is considered following colonial paradigms, and then it’s either Annunaki or someone is a self-initiated master and more awakened than us...
  3. Unfortunately, the usual suspects think they’re more awakened and aware than others and therefore more in Tao, and can’t seem to follow flow of a thread or have mores. They really need to just go to reddit instead...but Mr. Rogers would want us to be nice neighbors regardless of how annoying they are...
  4. Here's a new link in Siberia for an unknown canine. https://gizmodo.com/found-frozen-and-almost-perfectly-preserved-in-permafro-1840093915 Carbon dating is used, unfortunately... Thanks for the link! I didn't know that it was under scrutiny at the moment. Learn something new every day...
  5. I will begin the reporting now. Please, everyone else: let’s do this as soon as you see this post.
  6. I’m beginning to wonder if we need another group effort to report Mr Blah Blah Blah everything and the kitchen sink to get him to shut up like he was already warned three times.

  8. Haiku Unchained

@Jim D. this thread might be more your alley unlike the haiku chain free yourself from the uncanny valley spare yourself a haiku structure’s pain
  9. Haiku Chain

“use the last line of the previous post’s poem as the first line of your poem” NOT last line of YOUR poem. ”5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables” or https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/50094-haiku-unchained/
  10. I'd like to throw something in for consideration (I'll edit this out if it isn't that helpful), but the concepts of Phantom Time and New Chronology are something I was just listening to on a podcast, which can be found here: https://ourfakehistory.com/index.php/season-2/episode-43-what-is-phantom-time/#more-428 Now, obviously, the focus on the episode is loooooooong after Sumer. But the same reasoning is there that somehow is seductive to Sitchin sycophants and other weirdoes out there who, quoting the host of the show, "put so much scrutiny to established knowledge and history, yet don't hold this same level of scrutiny to bizarre and outrageous theories that appeal to them and require a lot of suspension of disbelief, especially of scientific tools like carbon dating". Given how much we have (or how little), and how much has been lost to time, war, entropy, and limitations of technology and everything else such as retrofitting contemporary norms towards understanding cultures and history, seeing something like this about the newly-discovered Tablet V of Gilgamesh https://www.ancient.eu/article/1286/new-gilgamesh-fragment-enkidus-sexual-exploits-dou/ makes me wonder how the hell we can make sense of it all (and stay on topic...).
  11. From walls of new age platitudes to unrelated memes and conspiracies, why is it so hard to stay on topic? Not just here, but everywhere? Good grief.
  12. The wolves are more sociable but not tame like I said. How people build relationships with animals can vary, as Taomeow is discussing the historical precedents. Cultural factors and religious views definitely impact it, but a circus handler seems to have more of a capitalistic world view more akin to a master-slave relationship compared to a dog parent and dog. Seems is the key word, by the way.
  13. I watched the same one years ago. There’s a wolf sanctuary in Massachusetts where my friend volunteers in, and while the wolves aren’t tame, they are more sociable with humans than feral wolves.

  18. Haiku Chain

The structure is three lines: 5 syllables 7 syllables 5 syllables feels good to fall in, a little creative work brings all together
  19. They are punk and grunge alternative rock feminist musicians from the early 90s who gave us lipstick lesbians and women who were celebrated for wearing dresses and being feminine instead of wearing slacks and short hair in the 70s, and enjoyed being sexual or sexy.
  20. Modern feminism isn’t actually feminism, it’s just using the name. actual feminists I know don’t like this fourth wave at all. They fought to be free to be sexual and then a fringe group who criminalizes sex and family became the inspiration for modern understanding. Many intellectuals now are still bitter about it and there’s a lot of influence from social media and technology, as it’s primarily woke white western women who ignore complexities, especially of dark and poor women.
  21. Pop culture seems to be for the first time since the sexual revolution to be actively afraid of sex and sexuality. After Gen-X laughed about it, it is revealed younger Millennials and Edgers are having less sex but marrying more. A lot of pop culture is more puritanical these days—the contradiction of a woman dressing like a slut is considered anti-feminist, yet shaming her is also anti-feminist, whereas someone actively embracing her sexuality is also seen as not doing something she likes but being brainwashed by the patriarchy. I miss the days of riot grrls, who loved to be sexual and sexy. I miss the days when you didn’t have guys pretending to be sensitive feminists who end up being insincere and truly just want to sleep with women. I miss the days when people could just talk with each other instead of hide behind dating apps and make everything transactional instead of natural. I miss the days when having sex was not political, but a very human thing and beautiful, man and woman, man and man, woman and woman.
  22. Haiku Chain

And the beat goes on please keep the chain going, friend don't start something new Don't start something new: read the rules, don't quote lines like "the depths of Shiga--" Jim, please re-read the rules of the chain in the first post: Use the last line of the preceding haiku as the first line of yours. Otherwise, if you just want to quote haiku, go here: Continuing with our regular scheduled haiku... Borders the clouds the fleeting notion here of a thing called order
  23. How do I get rid of these sensations?

“True words are not beautiful and beautiful words are not true. Those who argue don’t know, and those who know don’t argue.” -TTC 81 At this rate, go right ahead and off yourself, man. Every point and all the advice we shared has gone over your head, and the most compassionate thing to say at this point is to just say, “Hope suicide works out for you” because it appears that’s what you really want, not peace or healing.
  24. How do I get rid of these sensations?

Dear Teenage Mutant Ninja Attention-Seeker: We have experienced these sensations before. I have. I meditated right through it with the proper technique and right teacher. You're just not paying attention because you don't want to do the work or pay for it. Go get professional help--your insults, threats, and your tantrum are not going to get you far here, and so far have not gotten you anywhere with your own life. Compassion to you seems to be giving you what you want rather than giving you what you need. Spare yourself further aggravation and go get help and until then, you probably shouldn't be posting here, Reddit, YouTube comments, or other dark corners of the web.
